I will start out by saying, I wish there were more start to describe my experience in working with Rosado Custom Homes and Victor. We recently bought a single family home and worked with Victor and his team to add/repair/upgrade a bunch of things in the house before we moved in. Here are a few things I want to highlight about that experience: 1. Super-responsive: Victor was super-responsive right from the first email I sent him to request a quote. He always responded promptly to all my questions. 2. Timely: The project was completed in a very timely fashion. I had heard of many horror stories from others about delays and we were already working on a tight timeline. Victor and team completed the work within the agreed upon timeframe. 3. Knowledgeable: Victor helped us in making several decisions regarding the repairs/additions. He is super knowledgeable and made several suggestions along the way that helped us do things the "right" and most efficient way. 4. Professionalism: I was very impressed by Victor's professionalism and work ethics. He made sure the work was done to a high quality standard. I will definitely work with him again in the future on my other projects and recommend him to my family/friends.

We originally requested Rosado Custom Homes to give us a quote to re-do our stairs (to make them safer and to code). Victor, the owner, was incredibly kind and gave us the best quote over two others we had gotten. After signing the contract to begin, work started the following Monday. We were shocked at how quickly they started work! We were so satisfied only a week in that we contracted RCH for a second larger job in the house, re-finishing our basement, updating all the electrical in the house to code, and updating our geothermal heat and air system that had countless problems. Victor gave us a quote immediately and stuck to it, only changing as we requested more work (which has now included a full bathroom renovation). The many jobs we contracted, including all the added work along the way, has only taken a couple months from start to finish. The employees/contractors are incredibly hard-working; they really don’t mess around while they’re here, working hard to get the job done as quickly as possible, with a very high quality of work. If I needed any more work done, I would definitely contract RCH again. Victor is very flexible with working with you to get done what you need, at a price you agree with, and on whatever time schedule works for you. I would recommend Rosado Custom Homes to anyone looking to renovate or update anything in their home. It’s a great locally-owned business that works hard, works fast, works within your budget, and produces a very high quality product.

We had a small master bathroom gutted and renovated. The crew from ProBuilders was amazing. Once the walls came down, we discovered that both the plumbing and the electrical needed to be brought up to code. Victor's crew put in the extra work and as a result, the town inspection went smoothly. Neat, on time, courteous, and honest in what was needed. Victor was super easy to work with and communicated constantly during the entire project. We are looking forward to showing off this off to friends and family and enjoying it ourselves. I am dealing with an ill member of the family and was on a time crunch to get work done. Mr. Victor Rosado was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. He delivered professionalism, fair and reasonable pricing, empathy, understanding, and experienced opinions on what styles are current. He managed the project constructively and followed up with orders to ensure we stayed on track. Mr. Rosado works with a variety of experienced contractors from electricians to painters, he has someone that can work with you to get the entire project completed. He is flexible and approachable to using your own contractors if you wish to do so. After the project was completed, there were a few concerns and Mr. Rosado did not skip a beat in getting those concerns addressed. I am not only happy that I went with a local contractor but my family is blessed to have had Mr. Rosado's fix our house back to a home.

We were looking for a contractor to handle some home improvement projects and my wife came across Pro Home Builders through a Google search. We had Victor Rosado over to discuss our projects and were immediately impressed with his depth of knowledge, practical advice, and friendly, patient, and straightforward manner. The budget was reasonable and we went ahead with it. The Pro Home Builders crew was here every day with carpenters, plumbers, and electricians showing up like clockwork to perform their respective tasks as needed. There were no down days and no wasted time. Victor came by at least once daily to oversee everything, check progress, and confer with us. We were so impressed with the way he ran things and the skill of his team that we asked them to go ahead with some additional projects that we had intended to put off. Everything was completed within the budget and schedule Victor had laid out and we are very pleased with the quality of the work. If anyone who is considering a remodeling project could see the work they did for us, they would be confident hiring Pro Home Builders.

Got 8 quotes, this company had the lowest responsive price. Started within 48 hours of notice to proceed, estimated 1 month of work, completed in less than 3 weeks even with requested extras. Owner checked the job progress at least once a day and when he was dissatisfied with some minor issues (which we didn't notice) he had his men do the work over again. He held his price and was reasonable on requested and required extras. We have recommended him to others who have also been pleased with his work. He is detailed, conscientious, accurate and accommodating. This wasn't an easy or straightforward project (building had to be supported while demolition was performed) and it went very smoothly. Overall, I am satisfied with the work, but was expecting more attention to detail and supervision of the subcontractors. I felt that it seems that there is a push to get the 20% over the budget target.

Victor of Pro Home Builders and his team were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. My two-month job was completed 2 weeks ahead of schedule and everything is beautiful. I felt the fees were fair and Victor was extremely responsive when I had questions or concerns of any sort. I highly recommend and will definitely be calling on them again when I do my kitchen remodel and other work in the future.

Long story short….this is the biggest renovation to my home AND THE MOST TROUBLE FREE. My home is about 100 years old and the front wrap around porch needed to be removed and rebuilt. Not an easy job….the footings had to be replaced, the foundation needed to be reinforced, the front of the house had to be jacked up, etc. I contacted Professional Home Builders and Design based upon the reviews found on Angie’s List. I met with several contractors. From the first meeting with the owner, Victor Rosado, I felt that he had a great deal of knowledge and experience and that he was an honest and upright person and that I would be in good hands. I was right. From day one Victor was on-site two times a day…sometimes 3 times, depending on what was going on. And, if at any time I had a question, Victor would get back to me the same day…many times within the hour…I was never ever left hanging, even about very minor issues. And he had great ideas about design, finishing touches and colors. His staff are also great…always out very early and staying until whenever needed…sometimes into the evening. They are very nice and professional and when I would pop out to see what was going on they would show me what they were working on and it was very obvious that they took great pride in their work. There was one worker who used to sing while he was working. I enjoyed listening to this and it also made me feel like he was happy working for this company. My brother and son have been watching the completion of the project and plan to contact Victor for needed renovations on their homes. I highly recommend this company and don’t believe that you’ll be disappointed. I love the finished product.

Pro Home Builders did an excellent job adding an upstairs bathroom, bedroom and new roof to my grandmother's home. Victor was very easy to work with and responsive to anything we needed. He came to the house each morning to make sure everything was on track. His guys are more like employees than subs so communication is excellent. They do quality work and clean up the job site each night. The pricing was straight forward with no surprises or change orders. Nearing completion of the job, there was some minor collateral damage to other parts of the home, ie ceiling cracks and slight damage to the siding. They had no problem power washing the entire house, replacing the siding and repairing/repainting the ceilings before they were ready to leave. Thank you so much, the overall results are just what we were hoping for. I would definitely recommend Victor and Pro Home and would not hesitate to use their services again.

It was a great experience. My wife was 7 months pregnant when the construction started, and we were able to stay in the house the whole time. They Cut through our previous master bedroom, we did not miss a night of sleep in there. Everything was taped off and cleaned daily so that myself, wife and three kids were not disrupted. Hardwood floors were done and did not have to leave for more than a work day, again taped off and cleaned daily. We never went with out being able to use the bathrooms, or out of power. They were able to get this rather large job done in the time frame that was said. Any issues that happened after which were minor, Pro home came out and fixed it quickly. The fact that my whole family was home during this process and we were not put out by it was amazing. the fact the job was done on time when stated is almost unheard of. I have recommended Pro Home to other family members and friends.

We had 10 days to accomplish what needed to be done. Pro home was able to accomplish this. They worked from 5am to 10pm at night. for the straight 10 days. They stayed in budget and the time frame we needed. The electrical was brought up to code and switched over to led lights throughout. Painting looks amazing clean and modern. Renovations were greatly received by customers. Pro Home exceeded our expectations.

The end product and overall experience were excellent. We interviewed multiple contractors, and Victor's calm demeanor, insightful opinions, straightforward pricing, and flexibility in scheduling resulted in us choosing him to do this work. He also worked very effectively with our designer, provided good suggestions for vendors, and was open to using whatever materials we wanted to use. I work from home, so having the folks who worked on the house act in a professional manner and work on a predictable schedule was really important to me. I could not possibly have asked for a better crew. They were exceptionally professional, prompt, and friendly, exceeding every expectation I had. They took great care to make sure the areas they worked in were protected from damage, and kept as clean as possible. I can't say enough positive things about them. In addition to the professionalism, the work they did was exceptional. We're extremely happy with the results, and the tile work they did in the master shower was particularly outstanding. We used a full size tile instead of mosaic on the accent wall, and there was some concern that it would look disjointed; the work done on that wall was far beyond expectation. It looks as if the whole wall is a single tile. The work done on the river rock shower floor was also outstanding. All in all, Victor and his team exceeded our expectations, and the next time we need to have work done in our house there's absolutely no question who we will call.

Victor is always a pleasure to work with. He scheduled Luis to come out to fix our exterior door into our mudroom/breezeway. Luis showed up promptly and was very professional. He worked hard to fit the door into a slightly non-standard door jam size. He worked extremely diligently and quickly. The final product looked fantastic. We love our new door!

Purchased a deal in January that I was trying to have done by July 2014. After purchasing the material like I was told to do; they were to come and do the work. However, Victor doesn’t return phone calls now and the work hasn't been done.

I am very disappointed with my experience on Angie's List thus far, but in particular with one Big Deal I purchased. Specifically in the case of Coupon Code: Remodel-1071089-1 ($199 for Six Hours of Home Repair or Remodeling) it was advertised as a "$600 value" translating to "67% savings". So this implies a normal rate of $100/hr. Pro Home Builders came to my home and quoted 2 jobs - installing a bathroom vent fan and repairing a section of plaster wall. Problem #1 - when I received the quote from Pro Home Builders - their quoted rate is $50/hr so for the 6hr job quoted at their normal rate the cost was $300. So while the Big Deal was advertised as a $600 value and 67% savings, it was really only a $300 value and hence a 33% savings. Not nearly as enticing and honestly I (as well as many other customers) would not have been as likely to purchase the deal had that been known (the terms "false advertising" or "bait and switch" often come to mind in situations like this). Problem #2 - I felt the estimate I was given suggested more hours than I would have ever thought necessary to perform these 2 jobs (6 hrs = 2 men to install a bathroom fan, 8 hrs = 2 men to repair the wall). Problem #3 - in the quote there was one itemized line for Cost of Materials = $262. I explained that I had already purchased the fan, and asked for an itemized breakdown of what was included in the $262. To this day I still have not received it. Problem #4 - paperwork. The quote indicated "Page 1 of 2" but there was no other page included. When I asked about the 2nd page I was told it was an agreement that I would get the next day. Over 3 weeks later (only after I had to send a follow-up request) I received a "Page 2 of 2" they wanted me to sign that appears to have been written specifically for Angie's List customers since the title of the file is "Acceptance Angie's List". In addition to some conditions about work being charged as Time and Materials + 30% it also referenced 2 other attachments to the contract which I did not receive. After more time going by without having received the details I had requested, I had to take the initiative to reach back out again only to be told that their schedule was booked out for 3 months which takes me well beyond the expiration of the Big Deal. Given these factors and the negative experience I am requesting a refund of my $199 paid for this "deal". I still have 1 deal with another contractor that I am willing to try and make work and would like to avoid canceling my membership entirely but must be honest that decision will be impacted by how Angie's List handles my dispute. Thank you.

I was contacted (via email) by Victor right after Big Deal purchased. I in return did not follow up since I was out of town and when I did get back to CT the winter weather was so bad that I never followed up. The next thing I realized it is July and the 6 month coupon time expires in a week so just didn't use deal or contact Victor.

I purchased a Big Deal for 6 hours of home repair. The services were not performed so I cannot comment on the quality of the contractor's work. The contractor wasn't interested in honoring the coupon. I don't think he really knew what he was committing to do when he agreed to the Big Deal in the first place. Ultimately though, when I spoke with him he was honest about not intending to complete the work.

I will not be calling Pro Home Builders in the future for my remodeling needs.

Victor was very responsive and professional. He worked hard to tailor services to our budget. He scheduled the work to suit our preferred time-frame. Victor's employees/contractors did quality work i.e. they did a quality job of finishing uneven, old plaster walls, as well as meeting new sheetrock and old plaster. When we required additional services he was happy to again accommodate our budget and schedule. When we had questions about the job he addressed them quickly. We are very happy with the new look of our home. Thank you Victor! .

No work was done do to provider being out of state.

Provider was very quick to respond to emails and setup the appointment.

Contractor could not seem to make his appointments. He had too many excuses, including, He forgot about some other appointment with his real estate class, another job was taking longer than expected, or he just DID NOT show up when we finally settled on three different dates to do the work. I rearranged my own schedule to be here for the work, but Mr Rosado did not show up on three separate appointments.I left voicemails emails and text messages, and Mr Rosado would respond AFTER each appt had passed with "did you get my text?" There was NO text!!! My roof is leaking in the middle of winter and Mr Rosado has left me to no other alternative but to go elsewhere.

I needed some work done around the house and confirmed with the company that they service my town. I bought the Big Deal and he contacted me very quickly to come by and evaluate. He quoted a lot for other major jobs but I just wanted them to do the work I was originally interested in. After I got his total quote and told him that, it became very difficult to schedule a day for his guys to come and took two or three emails to get a response. I emailed him today to ask if he was going to come and do the work or if he wanted to refund my money. He said he was very busy and preferred I get a refund and he told me to call Angie's List for the refund and he has not received any money yet.
