+ -1 moreStan was very thorough and spent approximately 5 hours inspecting every part of an old home and it's outbuildings. It was easy to schedule an appointment with him and he responded to phone calls in the same day. He arrived on time to the appointment. He was very patient and discussed each item of concern and explained how to maintain various features of the home and approximate life left in various parts of the home. We gained very useful information from him. He also performed radon tests and a series of tests of the well water.
Description of Work: Home inspection of 3,400 square foot home and outbuildings including radon testing and extensive water testing.

+ -1 moreWe would use him again and recommend him wholeheartedly. Cost: 525.00 including electronic radon test.
Description of Work: Houseworks did a very thorough job. Stan, the business co-owner, answered all questions patiently and thoroughly. We forgot our camera & Stan had his camera & obliged us by taking pictures of what we wanted. He was very knowledgeable about various components of home construction and what was right or wrong in the house. We expected the inspection to take 2 1/2 hours, but it lasted 3 1/2 hours because he was very thorough & did not rush even though we had many questions. It was amazing how he saw things that we missed. We had the electronic radon test done which costs an extra $100, but it is well worth it for accuracy. It takes 48 hours to complete, so he had to come back to retreive it. After the inspection, he immediately gave us a handwritten report & then that night emailed the typewritten report. Two days later, he gave us a CD with the pictures on it.
