+ -1 moreFrom start to finish, everything was outstanding and professional with Connecticut Air Systems. They were very accommodating regarding scheduling to come out and give an estimate, as well as when it was time to come out and perform the actual work. I cannot stress enough how impressed I was with the amount of time that they spent with me listening to me describe the problem, and going over potential issues/options when they first came out to give an estimate. When it was time to do the work, I was equally impressed. They were right on time, professional, courteous, neat and did the job. Most importantly, from what I can tell so far, the work performed was exactly what was needed, and was done well! One room within my home had been having an issue regarding receiving heat in the winter, and air conditioning in the summer. This does not seem to be an issue any more. Extremely happy, and while I obviously hope that the need does not arise for more work in the near future, I would happily use them again. Thank you Connecticut Air Systems for coming through! I have already relayed your info onto a few others!
Description of Work: -Ran test to ensure that leak was from Evaporator Coil in a specific air handler -Once confirmed where leak was, replaced Evaporator Coil in Air Handler, as well as replaced incorrect piston that was originally installed with TXV -Replaced condensation pan (and I believe put in pan switch) -moved duct to help improve airflow to one room -preventative maintenance on other a/c system within house

+ -1 moreCan't say enough about this company. Great experience from start to finish. The answering service was polite. The young lady who set up the appointment was courteous and efficient. They sent a tech out that very morning. He arrived on time, he worked efficiently and professionally. The tech diagnosed the problem in minutes and had the replacement part on the truck. He finished the work and cleaned up in less than 1 hour. I couldn't have asked for better service.

+ -1 moreOverall, they were great. I got three quotes from different companies and each proposed a different course of action for my broken water heater, outdated furnace, and damaged chimney. CT Air system's price was competitive, but more importantly, Anthony's proposal made the most sense to me. He was very straightforward and confident in what I did and did not need. After getting all the quotes, I called Anthony back with a few more questions and he was very responsive and sent an installer out to talk to me more in detail about what would be done. They were able to install a high efficiency system that is already saving me money on my heating bills. The installation was done quickly and neatly. After about a month of use, so far so good. I would definitely use them again and recommend to anyone with a big HVAC job.

+ -1 moreJay came out same day I called for service to look at the furnace in my home. I moved in a few days before and felt the heating vents were not proportionally heating each room and new from our home inspection the furnace probably needed an inspection anyway. He inspected the furnace thoroughly (see above) and checked all the vents in the house, balancing the heat to make me more comfortable, but also educated me on why the heat was probably set the way it was, etc.
Description of Work: Inspected my furnace and heating vents. Replaced air filter, checked burners, electrical, motors, cleaned the sensor, checked ignitor and opened damper for one of the bedrooms

+ -1 moreCalled CT Air Systems after searching for a HVAC service provider on Angie's list. We are not regular customers of CTAir. The lady who took the call was courteous and after taking down our details an appointment was scheduled between 12:30PM - 4PM today. The technicians arrived at our place and after taking a look at everything, isolated the problem to a loose connection at the breaker. They fixed it immediately and were patiently answering all my questions while doing their job. I would recommend CT Air Systems to anyone having HVAC problems within their service area. Reasonably priced and very prompt with their service. Tks!

+ -1 moreThe installation went well. They were the only company that did not say we had to replace all the units in our otherwise excelletn HVAC system. They were familiar with our units and were able to recommend a new system that was better AND could interface well with our condenser whereas all the other companies wanted us to replace the condenser. The new system required them to do some adjusting to the new system in order for it to "speak" to one another and it worked out well. Britt Air also suggested we purchase hardware that was exactly the same as the popular name brand but for a lesser price. Britt showed up on time and were lovely to have working in the house.

+ -1 moreTechician arrived in the time frame agreed to. We discussed the issue, showed him records of earlier service calls (we have used this service in the past). He then examined the unit and was able to identify the source of the leaks (it was not leaking at the time he came). He showed me the problem, told me what he proposed to do and once I accepted his suggestion he made the repair. Start to finish he was in the house for about 45 minutes. He was very professional throughout his visit.
Description of Work: We had an intermittent leak in our AC unit in the attic. Discovered when water began to drip through to the second floor hallway. The service technician was able to locate the source of the leak (some hoses that need to be replaced) and fixed it.

The repairperson was always very courteous and accommodating to my parents. Their work was always done to our satisfaction and if further repairs were needed they were always prompt, dependable, and neat! I would recommend CAS without ANY reservation.

He was upfront on what the cost was to do the work now versus coming back versus if it broke down and they had to come out on an emergency call. He also told me what to look out for in terms of what may need to be replaced in upcoming years. He was neat and thorough.
Description of Work: Furnace needed maintenance (cleaning) and a part having to do with igniting the pilot needed to be replaced. It was very worn out and old.

+ -1 moreI can't say enough about how good they were. They installed central AC in my 1955 house that lacked air ducts. They ran the ductwork in the attic and then cut through the ceilings for the vents. The work was superb and they finished the whole job in one day. I was so impressed with the work crew that I gave them a $200 tip. I would highly recommend them to everybody.
Description of Work: They installed a central AC system in my home. The system has a two-stage compressor and a variable speed air handler with a SEER rating of 17.

Description of Work: Over one week wait for appt. to ck. my central AC unit which failed early June. (Company had been servicing my HVAC for 14 yrs.- but pointed out it Iwas gas furnace maintenance yearly not regular AC service --No real svs required for AC-other chan change of filters which was done routinely. We were given no priorty as a long standing customer. Tech jump -started 30 YR. Old AC for--had to pay $300 at time of service call. The "fix" lasted one day and unit was dead. After a 3 day Heat wave weekend.,CT Air sent tech back Mon. AM. Nothing could be done. With more honesty, they would have advised not wasting money - esp. since we were planning a complete HVAC sytems replacement. To add insult to injury, had to wait more than one week get owner in who quotes on complete HVAC replacement. No AC for 3 weeks at that point.- very costly quote. No follow up on their part. They lost a long time customer. A large job will go to another more responsive HVAC company. That being said, the technicians for routine service over the years very good- professoinal and helpful. Poor scheduling, timing on their part and they don't care.
