Shamrock Chimney

The guys who did our work were excellent. We felt their work was quality. However, we experienced some problems less than a year later and still can not get them to call us back or check out the issue. We have a warranty on our chimney waterproofing. We have been trying to reach them for around 4 months. COVID has made life difficult for everyone, but being ignored is disconcerting, to say the least. Hard to use the star rating for this situation.

We called yesterday and were accommodated with an appointment today. Friendly hard working guys, they did a great job! Cory and John came out to inspect our chimney for an estimate for partial blockage reported by our furnace cleaner and possibly needing a new liner. We lucked out and they did it TODAY. They installed the new liner and new caps, and touched up the top of the chimney to prevent more damage from occurring Cory pointed out some things on our chimney that we should also address at some time to help protect it, very informative, he knows his chimneys. They did an amazing job, they cleaned up after and we are very happy, it looks good and more importantly now it's SAFE! Thank you Cory and John, we appreciate you!

Unfortunately, the people on the phone when I asked what I was getting for the $75.00 visit, they said it was a complete cleaning of my much-used fireplace. There were two men. They checked out both of my fireplaces and recommended fixing certain issues. I received a $1800 estimate. Then one man came in with a vacuum and cleared a few ashes out. I do that with my own shop vac. I do not call that a cleaning of the fireplace. If I was told what I was getting was an estimate of what problems I might have and there is a fee for that and it was $75.00 I would have made that decision. I would like my money back.

We requested quotes from two chimney repair services, one of them being Shamrock. Shamrock was punctual, professional, and gave us a reasonable quote within minutes. Hiring Shamrock for the job was the best decision we made. Matt showed up and completed the job the following week and was willing to work around our schedules. The company also offered a warranty on their work as well as the cap that was placed!
