Inspectors came for a routine sweep and inspection. Did not state anything about a broken damper even after asking if any repairs needed to be done. It took two more visits for them to cave and admit the damper was broken and needed to be replaced. Very dishonest. Do not recommend.

Shamrock Chimney North was recommended by Angie, they called me and made a date to come 2 days later. They arrived an hour early, without calling, like they said they would. They showed us a one foot section of stainless steel, said it has a lifetime warranty. They said they would even warranty our existing Chimney cap because it was also stainless steel. The smoke pipe inside is all new now but then they cemented it to the Chimney which we now know is illegal. When they left, they stole my Chimney cap and we noticed that they replaced it with a much smaller one that they had in their truck! I went to the building inspector in my town and he said they are not licensed or insured in Massachusetts. I had to call my insurance company to let them know that I couldn't pass an inspection now and they said I would have to disconnect the woodstove, which I did. We cannot use our woodstove at all. We called from the building inspectors office and the secretary did answer, she swore that they are licensed in Massachusetts but refused to give us a license number. She said she had to pass on our message to her manager. The building inspector said they had 48 hours to call him back with their credentials. I called 2 hours later and I had to repeat the entire message, this was a different secretary this time. After this they did not call back and the building inspector said they stopped answering his calls too.

They were on time, honest, professional, and performed a clean & complete job. They provided knowledge of the system explaining with before & after pictures. I would recommend these guys to everyone!! Their prices are also outstanding!!

Very informative. Took time to explain all the issues with my chimney and what work needed to be done to repair it and get it up to code. Fair price.

After an inspection I was told that I needed $7,500 worth of work done. If I didn?t have it done right away the town building inspector would be alerted and could come and fine me $10-15,000 at any time. I declined and got a second opinion.

Jacob and his partner did a great job. They were professional, courteous and very thorough. We will definitely be happy to have them back next time we need work done.

Wow I wish I found those guys earlier. I would with them a lot sooner. They are 100% awesome great people and Ià ¢à  à  m gonna continue doing business with them from now on. Thank you.

The work requested was simple: Reseal our chimney flashing where it is attached to the chimney so as to prevent rain water from leaking passed the flashing and into the interior of the house. (Home is on Cape Cod) I wasn't available to witness the work when it was performed but I thought is was simple enough so I authorized the work. I got my first look at the work today. The work is very sloppy and unprofessional looking. (See photos) It does not leak but it looks like a total hack job. There was way too much sealant used. (Needed a quart, used a gallon) The guy also apparently did not use the proper tools for smoothing and leveling the surface of the sealant. The finished surface is full of groves and ridges. YouTube is full of videos showing what a quality job looks like so I know that there is no excuse for the poor quality which I received. I do not recommend this contractor and would not hire them again.

Justin was fantastic with explaining what we needed as well as what we didnâ t need. He and James put on a new chimney cap, a new cement crown, and water proofed the chimney. Everything made sense and the price was, I thought, more than fair. So happy with the whole experience starting with the prompt response from the office, the communication throughout, and the quality of the work that Shamrock provided!!!
