Shamrock Chimney

Do not recommend. Had 3 Chimney Caps installed and 1 blew off in the wind. I called numerous times over several weeks to have them repair and replace it and got nothing but attitude from their customer service team. Thereâ s nothing worse than dealing with a company that does not honor their work and leaves you hanging once they get your money. If you are looking for a reputable company, do not call Shamrock.

Quality work. Got the job done in timely manner.

They seem to be very busy and it took a couple of tries to schedule an appointment. When they did get here it was late in the afternoon and they stayed into the evening to get the job done.

Worked fast and got a lot done. Showed pictures and looked more at everything very closely. Missed a spot in the painting and was difficult to schedule them to come back and finish up. But besides that good value for money.

They are very quick and show pictures of their work.

Shamrock Chimney came early, kept me informed, friendly and polite. They took great "before and after" pictures which was great. They are THE BEST and I would definitely hire them again. Great warranty too. ð

Professional .,friendly, they took pictures of before and after chimney work, as this was not visible from the ground. Neat and tidy clean up.

I hired Shamrock to clean a chimney and inspect a second. Mary called multiple times to reschedule and finally said they would be there within 15 min to have the 2 guys show up 2 hours later. One of the 2 men that showed up was horrific and spent all his time trying to upsell me things I did not want or need, and finally said It was on me if my house caught on fire, burnt down and people died. We went back and forth on him cleaning my chimney (he did not want to as he said my damper was broken- i acknowledge the broken damper and did not hold him liable and asked him to continue with the cleaning). He went as far as making a fake phone call (phone to his ear, but not on a call) complaining about me to his manager. He spent less than 5 min cleaning my chimney and left a nice layer of soot on the floor and two black footprints on my carpet. Overall, completely unprofessional, gangster like attitude person and Mary at the main office repeatedly lied about services and timing. However this person may not be representative of the entire company, but my experience was enough to not recommend this company.

Quick and efficient. They took care of the property, taking time to clean up and leave it as they found it.

Got what I paid for and more cleaned chimney and interception was done with quote pics,price and all quick and fast and called me in advance if they were running late due to work overload great customer service I definitely recommend them.

One of our chimney caps blew off the day after Shamrock Chimney provided emergency services. It took a dozen phone calls to get someone back to repair the chimney cap. I was told time after time by customer service (reps: Chris and Mary), **I will have someone come out tomorrow**, but no one would show up and we would not receive a phone call. Had I not been home on the day two new workers showed up (Chris and Chris) to ask questions, they would have **fixed** the issue by using PL sealant, instead of fixing the very poorly done crown repair. Once I expressed my concerns about the poorly done cement job for our crown and chimney cap, I was told that the job needed to be completely redone because as the worker said, **it was clearly done wrong, the crown was built too high and there is no place to properly secure the chimney cap** I was also told that fixing the chimney cap with PL sealant would only be a temporary fix and potentially hazardous because it could fall off again. Mind you, this is the easy fix that would have been performed had I not been home that day. If you do decide to use this company, I would strongly recommend that you are home when the work is being done and ask for pictures of their work. As far as we are aware, the new liner they installed is fine and they also replaced a few rows of brick which is fine. The crown looks incredibly messy and was clearly done in a rush. The original job was on 2/26. It is 3/15 and our chimney cap is still outside on the ground.

Very efficient and professional. I did not expect them to entirely clean the fireplace from burned logs etc but they did and left everything pristinely clean so I got more than I asked for.

They did a great job! Mary did a great job setting up an appointment around my schedule and was super friendly on the phone! Evan and Tommy came out and gave me my options for my furnace chimney issue. We agreed to one of them and they showed up the next day and went above and beyond! Very clean and thorough while they worked and cleaned up after they wer done. They explained exactly what they were doing and did a fantastic job! Great craftsmanship as well! Very fair price i was totally comfortable with. I will recommend them to anyone with any chimney issues!

They were responsive and worked with us having to reschedule multiple times because of weather. They were unable to clean the chimney because of the condition of the chimney, but gave a very fair estimate.

Terrible customer service! Threatened to bill me for the home advisor referral fee if I did not book. The guys that came to inspect the chimney spend less than 2 minutes and did no evaluation of the connection between the chimney and furnace connection.

They canceled the first two appointments I had with them. When they cancelled the appointments it was the day of the appointment both times. The third appointment was scheduled between 9-12 they showed up at 4:30 and only after I called twice. When they did show to clean my chimney the cleaning took a total of 10 minutes. But they did try and sell me a new $1200 damper.

I own a colonial era property circa 1765. The stone chimney and the three fireplaces are central to our life in the home. Our oil burning furnace uses an additional flue and over the years the ancient clay lining has deteriorated endangering both the structural integrity of chimney and safety of the home. Our Shamrock technicians explained to me exactly what was happening in the chimney and their steps to mitigate damage and ensure safety in the home for years to come. I will be calling Shamrock on a yearly basis for further inspection and cleaning of our chimney.

This guy Chris was pushing me to get the job even when I said I would like to wait for the spring, then he sweet talk to me and hired them, he told me that they going to repair and give 5 years warranty, then all the sudden, he said they finish and want to be paid, I said ok let me check ( I was not in the house), so tell him give a minute to check, and he said; we already leave I am in the office now but we going to come back tomorrow to pit the caps and do the crown or something so I tell him when is done you get the money, after this I cal to my mom and she said the guys tell her is done and wanna get pay cash o card, but she knows I was going to pay so she do not pay but she said the guy was pushing to get the money( there is the barrier language, she does not speak well English) but she was upset because she think they want to take advantage of her because she do not know how to answer, next day they come and I receive the call said is done, I ask for a paper o an invoice because they do not Leave nothing, then I get someone else who sent me the invoice and pay. I would never contact this guy again they just want to take the job and do like any little job nothing professional about it. I strongly do not recommend it.

They contacted me immediately after I posted the request, gave me a reasonable price, were available the next day, showed up early, were professional and pleasant, did the job then left the area cleaner than when they started. Itâ s hard to rate the quality of the work since I canâ t see inside the chimney but based on everything I did see Iâ m sure itâ s great

We originally received a great quote over the phone and scheduled an appointment. They had to reschedule due to a snowstorm, which was completely understandable, but the woman who rescheduled us did not log the day and time she booked us and claimed we never called back. She was rude on the phone and could not admit she made a mistake, which we would have also understood. Then we rescheduled for the 3rd time to which they called us 7 min after our scheduled window to say they could not make it and needed to reschedule again! We did not want to bother but got another call later that week asking and offering to drop the price to $100. We said ok and behold, they called the day of to reschedule us, AGAIN. At this point, it has been over 2 months of trying to get them here and we gave up. They offered to come out for $50, then offered to do it for $35 after we kept saying no. We stuck with no after being rescheduled multiple times. Really do not recommend hiring this company. You would think a company would maybe put you first on the schedule after rescheduling multiple times knowing they are risking losing your business. In the end, it was not about the money, it was about simply having someone show up.
