Shamrock Chimney

Perhaps it is the busiest season for chimney business. But we will not hire Shamrock again. They showed up 24 hours after the initial appointment, although the office called me half hour after the initial appointment window (10 am to 1 pm). The work they did looks decent but I have no idea about its quality. They charged far more than we expected. If we had had more time, I would have looked for multiple quotes.

both workers where experience in cleaning and after inspecting the outside of chimneys suggested that we needed repairs on two of our three chimneys and jobs well done and showed photo that it was completed GREAT JOB

Dave and Patrick were fantastic, they showed up right on time and provided a thorough and competitive quote. We were ready to move forward and they got us in right then and there. Great work and cleaned up after themselves. Very happy

had an appointment with three hour window and never showed or called, set up appointment again today and was contacted by pro stating they couldn't make again today. Wanted to reschedule for next week and I said no.

Billy was extremely professional and knowledgeable. He replaced the vent for our furnace and extended the chimney. I would recommend this company to anyone based solely on my experience with him and his work!

Service window 9-12. Received message at 1:30 to call office and reschedule, no reason why appt was missed. Called to reschedule asking why they didnâ t come I was told I didnâ t answer when the driver called. Never received a call. As u all know cell phones keep a record of all calls. Tried to tell her I didnâ t get the callâ ¦.thatâ s when she was completely obnoxious and rude. Got â do you want to reschedule or not? Thank you no, I donâ t do business with a company that treats customers like this. It was just an example of when you hang up the phone and think what the heck just happened. I just wanted to reschedule.

Mike and Mike were professional, efficient and friendly. They took the time to explain the issues and explained the work that needed to be done as well as showing me pictures They completed the work timely. Mike even gave me his phone number in case there were any problems. Would highly recommend.

The technician found that some of the work that others had suggested was not necessary and only performed the actual work needed. This resulted in saving money while resolving the issue.

I would give these guys a -5 (thats MINUS) stars if I could. Stay away or be disgusted and disappointed, and sue them like I plan to now. I started out okay with their contracted, and warrantied project to install chimney caps on my East Haddam house, and cement crown in 2018. The job was done on December 18, 2018, and I had some worries about the cement setting properly in cold weather, which I voiced at the time. Sure enough, by June 2019, 6 mos later, the cement had cracked in numerous places! I called the company and was told by a representative that yes, it was most likely because of cold weather and they would come out to re-do it. What followed was an endless (and I mean 2.5 years!) contacting by me, with either no answer, or a curt response, **I will look into it** when I contacted the owner. I have tried NUMEROUS times to get them to stand behind their warranty -- all to no avail. Shamrock Chimney DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK, EVEN WITH A WRITTEN 3 YR. WARRANTY. I have just 5 months left on the warranty! Still no response from numerous calls and texts. They are probably waiting me out? So next up: register letters on their way to both the Danbury and Pathchogue, Long Island offices, after consulting with the Attorney Generals office, Consumer Protection Agency, and the BBB. I will file small claims, including damages to the chimney from water leaking in around the improper cementing. Such behavior by a contractor is totally unacceptable. Hire this company at your own peril. This is a November 2019 photo. The chimney crown is 10x worse now, as can be attested to by the roofing company which just completed a new roof and shook their heads at the **total failure** of Shamrock Chimney to stand behind their workmanship. Luckily, I gave them a 5+ for their work, so guess what, I am not some troll with an agenda. Shame! Shame! Shame!

The company set up an appointment for Wednesday between 11 and 1. At 11:15 the company called and said they were not coming. They said there was a scheduling conflict. Did they not know that yesterday or earlier today? If a company can not even handle scheduling what kind of work would they do?
