Benny and his crew arrived on the site between 7:30am - 8:00am each day for three days, beginning on a Wednesday. On Day one, they framed and poured a step, which was reinforced with iron mesh. Additionally, they pulled up approximately 25 square feet of old, brittle bluestone walkway. They framed and leveled the walkway on Day two by cementing cobblestone borders, which looks great. They laid my chosen rustic red pavers on the last day according to the pattern I requested. They removed the old walkway and neatly stacked the remaining cobblestones as requested. The crew was polite and professional. Benny knew I had a party at the end of the week and assured me that the job would be completed on time. Not only was the job completed on time, but you can't even tell the crew was there, except for the awesome job they completed. I plan on having the crew back to replace another walkway and would recommend them highly.

In December, 2015, we had an immediate need for new front stairs. We were impressed with DH&K Construction’s (Benny's) speedy response and quote for the work, which was to replace our original pre-cast stairs with poured concrete stairs. We made arrangements to have the work done and it was completed the following week in just a few days. While working on the stairs we got quotes to have our front asphalt walk replaced with pavers. One side of the walk was bordered with old landscaping timbers, so we also got a quote to have those replaced with a low granite wall. This work was started the following week and completed in just a few days. We were extremely pleased with the results and made arrangements to have them back for more work. In March, 2016, we had the remainder of our old landscaping timbers replaced with a low granite wall to match the wall that was built in December, and we also had the asphalt walk in the back of our house replaced with pavers. This walk goes from the bottom of the deck stairs to stone stairs that lead down into the driveway. The “step” that was at the top of the stone stairs leading to the driveway was a very crooked piece of wood, and this was replaced with a level, granite step that looks beautiful from the driveway, and looks beautiful with the wonderful new paver walk! All work done in both December and March was completed by a crew that worked at an amazing speed and conducted themselves very professionally. For the amount of supplies and equipment they had, they also did a superb job of cleaning up. We have already made arrangements to have DH&K Construction come back again to do some much-needed repairs on both chimneys, and some work to the outside of the fireplace. We would highly recommend DH&K Construction to anyone needing any of this type of work done.

This was my second time hiring Benny and his crew for a home project and again, he exceeded expectations. He was easy to communicate with as we were planning the project and came to give an estimate the same day I called him (a weekend). He finished the work in one day and it looks beautiful. He even installed a few stepping stones in my backyard and offered to do those at no charge. He is and will be my go-to contractor for hardscaping.

Ben was very courteous and easy to work with. I had about 400 SF of old sidewalks removed. They had settled and were heaving after 28 years. They were also very thick - mostly 6 " or more. I then had about 450 SF of new sidewalk poured, which was a little more than the original proposal. We came to a reasonable additional cost. The quality of work was excellent. There was one small glitch that he corrected without much issue. After they were done, about a week later, I called to have him do additional work. I had never included all the work up front because I did not think I would have the funds. But we decided to continue and called him back to remove an additional 125 SF of sidewalk and steps plus we changed our mind on a 30 SF section he poured already and removed that as well. He then poured a new set of steps and large pad plus redid a small section of the original work. Again, another fine job. Well, our adventures didn't end there. He poured the front stoop at 10AM and at 4:30PM, the Fedex guy stepped in the concrete. I called Ben and they turned around, came back, and fixed it. Then 7:30AM the next morning, we noticed there were cat prints in the concrete. At this point, it was clear that something was wrong. No way should either of these mishaps have caused imprints. It turns out that Ben was skeptical as well when he came back to fix the Fedex footprints. Well, the concrete company screwed up the mix and it was a bad batch. He worked it out with the company and a week later, they came back and redid all the concrete from the second phase of the project. The first phase was fine. Everything is good and I highly recommend them.

Everything went well. Benny and his crew did quality work and left the work area clean when they left. The price was quite reasonable for the work that they did. I would definitely use them again.

This was the best experience I have ever had with a home contractor. Benny came out to provide an estimate on a Saturday, just one day after I called him. His quote was the most reasonable price we received of several estimates. He checked in with us a week later without pressuring us, and we decided to engage him for the work. He ordered the pavers on Tuesday and even brought me a sample of a substitute color when the original color I had chosen was out of stock. He and his team started the work on Wednesday and were finished by Thursday afternoon -- their work was not only quick and efficient, but also beautiful! His team built the patio exactly as we had envisioned and even filled in areas with gravel and dirt to give us a beautifully finished area. I can't say enough good things about Benny and his company.

The owner is very professional. It was very important to me that the job be done quickly, and the entire project was done less than two weeks after initial contact. I am very pleased with the end product. I highly recommend this company.

Mr. Demaraj promptly responded to my inquiry, set up an appointment in a timely manner, and sent me a proposal that evening for a new set of steps with pavers. The price was way too high for me, so he sent a proposal for concrete steps for about a third of the price. We had considerable e-mail correspondence about details, He always responded promptly. He kept all appointments and finished the project well within the promised schedule. He thoughtfully considered and effectively responded to any and all concerns and questions I voiced. The steps are beautiful, as well as practical, In addition, Mr. Demaraj and his co-worker are thorough gentlemen. I appreciate that, as much as Mr. Demaraj's intelligence, responsiveness and efficiency.

Benny and his associate arrived early and left late, completed the work in 2 days, and cleaned up after themselves. Now I have a gorgeous walkway that will last for years. I'm looking forward to having them come back to do more work.

Received call same day as purchased to arrange appointment to review services required. Arranged to have patio installed next day. Arrived on time and installed paver patio all in same day. I can't say enough about the quality, professionalism and service provided by Ben at DH&K Construction. I would not hesitate to use them again for any future projects.

The demo work was done quickly and cleanly. Remembering the problem we had with a sidewalk they previously replaced, they dug out the driveway area and set up the forms to make sure that any rain or snow melt would drain away from the house and down the driveway to the street. They also made sure that the concrete butted against a small patio area on the side of the house to prevent and other ice build-up areas. I also asked them to replace a damaged concrete filled steel column that the Gas company placed to protect the gas meter which is also located in the driveway, which they did without any question. The experience with the driveway was a pleasant as the previous sidewalk replacement they did for me and I am extremely happy with the results. As I said in my previous review, I would (and have) recommend these gentlemen anyone who want s a quality job done at a reasonable price, and no- I'm not family.

We had a problem with water pudding on the front sidewalk which turned to ice in the winter and was a safety hazard for people walking and a significant liability risk for us. Benny elevated the center of the walk to assure that the water would drain and not pool, which proved successful during the major rainstorm we had last week. As I said above, the job went very well andI nave no complaints. I plan on using them again in the near future to replace a failing asphalt driveway. There are no "don'ts" with these gentlemen, they know their job and they do it with a high level of skill. USE THEM!

The team at DH &K did a fabulous job in our property. We are very happy with every single project they completed. It is not only that they are AMAZING masons but they are wonderful hands on people. They are very punctual and professional. They answered all the questions we had and were very open to any changes we had to make. They did a good job cleaning up after everything was finished. We would happily recommend them and they are our to go to masons for every project (big or small) we had or will have in the future.

Benny showed up on time. He gave me all the option available for the basketball court. He answered all the questions I had to make sure the court will look as I really wanted. I was so happy with his job, I decided to get the two retaining walls and the pavers done. I couldn't be happier. Everything came out better than I wanted it.
