replacement windows
+ -1 moreThe Job went well as stated above. The installers came and looked in the attic and made measurements, then went out on my front lawn and cut the strips they needed to cover the floor of the attic, rolled up the strips and brought them up in the attic.then they rolled them out the length of the house and proceeded to staple them together making a complete sheet covering the entire floor of the attic cutting areas around the support beams.
Description of Work: The sales person came to the house and talked about what the product would do. I believe he stated that the product, which is an insulating type foil that they claimed would save 15% on heating and cooling costs, hard to measure, but it seemed to help in the hot summer days to keep the house cooler, and this winter I have not used too much oil to heat the house. The installers called before they came and did a good job installing the product. Working in the attic in that heat was not a fun job, but they did it without complaining. I felt bad for them and put a fan up there for them to at least have some circulation. They stapled the foil together above my insulation and fully covered the entire attic with it. Once done they cleaned up and left.

insulation, replacement windows
+ 0 moreUse anyone but Easy Care. They misled me on window replacement quotes, and I cancelled the contract once that realization hit. Despite working with a lawyer (and contacting theirs on my own), I've been unable to get back the $1,700 window deposit I gave them in July (almost six months ago). They supposedly agreed to refund less than half of the deposit if I waived all rights to speak about them, but they seem to have disappeared. If they're still in business, you'll do well steering clear of them.
Description of Work: Use anyone but Easy Care. Their insulation is highly overpriced, as are their windows. They subcontracted out an insulation job in my home, which was acceptably done. The story gets uglier. Please see below...
