Wood & Wood Seamless Gutters LLC

The job was done last fall and I waited to see how things would fare after heavy rains and the winter snow. We are very pleased with the results. Several problems have been solved including dripping and freezing on the front step, and water cascading past one of the bedroom windows. The new system works very well.

They were quick, friendly and efficient. I was surprised that a water test (or some other way of checking downspouts) wasn't done, but since they had pronounced that our gutters were clean and really didn't need cleaning that all was going to be fine. Unfortunately, that has not been the case at all. Ever since then the gutters have had problems in two spots. I was able to rectify one myself because it was lower and on my porch. It was blocked with little pieces of debris inside the downspout at the curve. I cannot get the other one clear because it is too high and it is a major problem. My guess is that the same thing is going on in it, but it is a much longer run with more than one bend so didn't show up until later, so I didn't realize that there was a problem. I'm assuming that when the fellows went up and looked at the "clean" gutters they couldn't have seen anything either, but had they done a water test or inspected the downspout & it's bends, probably would have noticed that water flowed much slower at the bottom of that downspout than the others and/or they were not clean after all. A year later, we have a miniature "Niagra Falls" at this corner so that this past March, when snow melted, it was impossible and even dangerous to use our back door due to the amount of water pouring over the gutter instead of down the spout. This in turn pooled and formed an ice layer on our steps and walk. Now that it is warmer, when ever it rains substantially we have a waterfall from half the length of this gutter so that it is still virtually impossible to use the back door/steps without being completely poured on and pooling at the sidewalk and foundation there due to the amount of water raining over the gutter sides as opposed to down the spout. I did take some pictures and sent two to Mr. Wood today and requested that perhaps someone could come fix this one corner, but they are too busy and he suggested I look elsewhere for a repair. I do understand that it has been over a year since they "cleaned" our gutters, but considering that we'd never had a problem in the years prior to this, and his own company employees declared that they were clean and that they really didn't need to get them cleaned often at all, it is curious that we now have more problems than we ever have. Most likely it has just taken awhile for whatever is in the downspout to build up to the point it is at now. Realizing that according to Mr. Wood, they are busy, and "short handed", I didn't expect that they could come immediately, but to be told to look elsewhere doesn't strike me as very good business.

Two people from the service showed up with blowers at the appointed time. After checking in with us, they proceeded to set up ladders and used the blowers to clean the gutters. It took them about 30 mins to go around the entire house. They cleaned out the downspouts as well.

They never followed up after the job was complete. I had difficulty contacting them and when I was able to get in touch I was brushed off on the phone with a "yeah yeah, you're all set". When I went to check on the house there was still weeds growing in the gutters.

Submitted email request via his website, and Mr. Wood contacted me the same day to tell me he would have someone over to do an estimate. Later that same day I had a written estimate. A week later I emailed to schedule and he replied noting he had availability the next morning. Work was done the day he promised. Work appears to be solid and looks fantastic. Will use again.

While I had asked that only the quick and easy to get to gutters be cleaned, the guys went above and beyond and cleaned more than I could have hoped for, including stuff beyond 2 stories.

I purchased a $99 deal for $200 credit on Angie's list. Professional and the service person was great and the job was done well. My only complaint is that when I called the main company about the cost, they told me that it was covered by the $200 credit, but didn't actually give me the cost of the work or if I had any credit left. This was also reflected on the invoice they sent. This is the only reason I gave them a B.

I called for an estimate, the owner came out within 30 minutes, and gave me a quote on the cost. A couple days later they came back out and installed the downspout. They provide excellent service.

The job was done very well. The work was done quickly, quietly, at the right time, and for a great price. I asked about one month prior to have the job done, but the provider recommended waiting until all the leaves were done falling for the season. Very professional of him to suggest that, since I would have paid him that day to come, but I'm thankful I waited.

Mike came out alone early on the day I requested. There was originally a mix up on the date, but when I called Mike and explained that I was expecting to have the work done on the day I requested because I was off work that day, he made some adjustments to his schedule in order to accommodate my expectation. He seemed eager to maintain the reputation of his company's customer service, wanting to avoid a negative review on Angie's List. I was appreciative of the change he made to his schedule that day, to please another customer. Thank you.

They showed up at 7:30 AM and I wasn't expecting them, a call would have been nice. It had rained that night and the leaves and other debris that were clogging my gutters was wet. They cleaned out the gutters by blowing everything all over my house, it was a mess to say the least. I didn't check until after they left, how they thought this was acceptable way to leave my house is hard to believe, but then they were 2 young guys. I immediately called the sales person I had a phone number for and she called Mike Wood the owner. He came out to my house within an hour and personally cleaned the back gutters which were the worse. While the problem was fixed there was never an offer to take off something the bill. The bill came the next day for the full amount.

No one was at home at time of installation and there was no debris or other evidence to indicate anyone had visited. Very nice!

Outside of their responsiveness on email, horrible company that I would not use again. There are better deals out there to be found. If you want a company thats going to waste your time, maybe deliver a service for what I realize now is twice as much as I should have paid, and then when asking for some compromise on the price because they didn't do what I asked... and get the 'go take a walk' response... these are the people for you.

I was unable to see them work due to being out of state at the time. They came a week earlier than expected. My neighbor said they were very professional. I live in the middle of Connecticut, plenty of serious downpours occur, as well as serious winter snowfalls.. Due to the low grade pitched roof of my house and it facing the north side I decided on the 6 inch gutter with downspouts. I was a little worried that the gutters may appear too big for my ranch, but, they look Great. The downspouts are substantially bigger than the old ones and the spouts were turned away from the walkway/ driveway protecting the path from water melt-freeze which I really appreciate. The downspouts are also well secured at 2 points protecting structural integrity of my house. They have already proven themselves during a downpour. I feel better for having them in place in time for the winter. I will definitely call Wood & Wood again for further work. Honorable mention to "Cherry" who measured length of gutters, in the rain. She was very informative, mentioned great points as to why you may want a larger gutter. She knows the product. Thank You. They came out and gave me written estimate of exactly what work would be done and how long it would take. They did exactly what we agreed upon and completed the work in a timely manner. No complaints.

They showed up 2 days early in the rain and did the job in no time. Picked up everything even the leaves and things that fell out of old gutter even though I told him he didn't need to do that. I would for sure use them again and refer them to anyone that needs gutters. Great Job and thank you.

It went fine. They were very professional. I wasn't home and everything was done. I assume they did a great job because I did not even notice. I know they were here and I know it was done. Their price was right when I saw it on Angie's List so I went with them. They let me know that they were coming and they were on time. I hope there's something about them this late October or November so I can use them again.

From start to finish Wood & Wood delivered professional, honest, sturdy craftsmanship. The estimator for the job, Terri, arrived when she promised. She answered all of my questions regarding the job to be done. She didn't try to oversell me products, either, which I appreciated (and verified against other estimates I received). She pegged 9/29 when I'd be contacted for the actual repairs. On that date, the crew showed up and promptly began work that morning and was done by the early afternoon. Of course, problems cropped up that demanded decisions from me. The crew leader, Mike, explained the issues and my options clearly. Again, I didn't feel strong armed into making choices; I was given the information I needed to make strategic decisions that were best for my home and budget. The crew cleared out all of the old gutter segments and debris. You'd never know my home had been worked on!

I wasn't expecting them until the next week, but they came today (9/25) as they didn't have a large job due to the inclement weather. We discussed what was needed and which extension pieces of downspout to use. They got right to work and wrapped up in about 1/2 hour. Other than the new extensions which run out about 6ft from foundation with a good slope, one would never know they were here. Before leaving the senior member of the 2 person crew told me about the rotting fascia board that caused the sag in the second level gutter. While he "fixed" the sag, he recommended replacing the fascia board sooner rather than later (to avoid issues with snow load or ice damning. I will hire Wood and Wood to do that work in the future.

They came when expected, used a leaf blower to blow out the debris. Left a business card when they left. I would have liked an additional note on the card confirming that everything looked good and no additional repairs were required. But the service saved me from climbing a ladder to clean them myself.

Contractor nailed straps on top of shingles creating holes rather than underneath. It looks crummy and I will have to have it redone properly. Attaching straps on top of shingles was not disclosed in deal, I would have paid more to have it done right.

They did the work while I wasn't at home, but everything seems to have gone well. They showed on schedule, did the work as promised, and acted professionally when dealing with me on the phone.
