Description of Work: My Central Air Conditioner broke and my house was getting Hot.... Came out quickly and fixed it....

Description of Work: Removal of a 25 year old oil forced air HVAC system with outdoor AC condenser. Installation of a 6 ton Hydron geothermal system and 2 @ 500 ft closed loops. | |The crew were professional and courteous... no complaints. | |Installation quality was average (but not bad and didn't affect the overall HVAC performance): 1) didn't compact one of the geothermal pipe trenches resulting in 8-inches of settlement over the winter, 2) installed the inlet duct turning vanes upside down, 3) didn't seal the return duct against the new inlet duct, 4) left chunks of grout from the old oil tank feed behind the unit instead of sweeping up and disposing, 4) didn't foil tape the insulation wrap on the inlet duct on the backside of the unit. | |The recirculation pump had a seal leak and Nutmeg did replace the gasket as a warranty item even though it was a manufacturing defect. It took them several weeks to finally replace the seal because I think they were trying to hold off until their work load was lite. Meanwhile, the unit was dripping glycol onto the basement floor but I put a foil pan under the unit to contain it. A little frustrating but Nutmeg did fix the problem. | |Overall, my enthusiasm for going geothermal far outweighs the minor issues I had during the installation process. I'm happy with the end results of my new super energy efficient heating and cooling system.

Description of Work: Excellent job installing new boiler and water heater. Left no mess either in the cellar or the yard. Would highly recommend.

Description of Work: Repaired/replaced furnace/ac fan motor. It was a special motor and had to be ordered. First replacement motor was damaged when it arrived. Second motor was fine.

Description of Work: Installed a geothermal unit. They did hit a water line during the install but not really their fault as CBYD guys did not properly mark the water line. Everything has been running great. It's been almost 4 years with the unit and has been running great and really no issues. Had a capacitor go out once but they responded really quickly and fixed it. I highly recommend for your HVAC needs. They install many geothermal units and its best to go with guys that have the experience. I would give Nutmeg a call. Not the cheapest but they are the best. Call them if you care about quality.

Description of Work: Our central air conditioning was not working. The service man figured out that it was because of the mice who had built a nest in the control area of the outdoor unit. He cleaned up the area and repaired the wiring that the mice had chewed and tested to make sure the system worked. He added moth balls (which we had at the house) to prevent mice from building the nest again. Moth balls have to be added once a year. Overall, a very professional job. We will hire Nutmeg Mechanical again when the need arises.

Description of Work: Repaired gas furnace. Was a difficult job took two visits but was done professionally. Would recommend them without hesitation.

Description of Work: They installed Central Air. There was some problem with communication with the sales person. The tech was professional and efficient in installing the unit. When I had problems after installation, they were not all that helpful.

Description of Work: Ed came and started to trouble shoot the furnace: he replaced the sensor first: the furnace and then stopped: he kept trouble shooting it. He called in another colleague who came over: they both kept trouble shooting for a long time until the fixed the problem. They were there from 12. - 6:30, all for a flat fee. They also installed a digital thermostat and showed me how to use it. The total bill was about 430.00. Overall I was so impressed with their courteousness, professionalism and how knowledgeable they were. And the price was very reasonable. I am thrilled to have found them and feel so confident knowing I can call them the next time I have an issue! I highly recommend them!!

Description of Work: wE HAD A DUCKLESS HEAT/A/C UNIT INSTALLED.THEY WERE GREAT.THE HOME COMFORT SPECIALIST EXPLAINED SYTSTEM WELL, FELLOWS DOING THE INSTALLATION WERE ON TIME,ALSO EXPLAINEDND ANSWERES QUESTIONS WE HAD, THE ELECTRICIAN WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND. I WILL CALL THEM NEXT YEAR IF I DECEIDED TO HAVE ONE INSTALLED IN ANOTHER ROOM,I MOST CERTAINLY RECOMEND THEM.
