Empire Remodeling

We had used Empire last year for a roof repair right before the October snow storm-they finished right before the storm started. We got Empire name from angies list. We were happy with the result. We called Al this year along with several others to get estimates and Al was one of the few to actually call back. He is good at timely returning your phone calls. We decided to go with Empire and Al suggested we wrap the A-frame parts of the house with Aluminum after putting a base coat on which we did because this it where the squirrels and carpenter bees had done damage in the past. They also painted alot where there wasnt vinyl siding-around windows, garage sections and front and back porch and cellar hatchway. Al kept us upto date as to when his crew was coming to do things. The fixed the front door and painted aroung it. He fixed an exterior electrical outlet that wasnt working when he plugged in. He even did a little tree work where the wires from the street come to the house. All the work took about 7 to 10 days. We were happy with the result especially the aluminum wrap because it came out nice and hopefully sqirrels cant eat thru aluminum! Its nice to have a contractor who does what he says he will and in a timely matter which is not always been our experience.

. Our work was dove-tailed into our neighbor's bigger project. Al sent Shane(carpenter) and Bear(painter) to our home as soon as they were available. Both gentlemen know their jobs and do high quality work.

The entire process went very well. The sales rep was on time and very helpful. His samples were large enough to give us a very good idea of the end result. Pricing was as anticipated and not a budget breaker. The installers were on time, arriving, as advertised the very next day. They were neat and well organized and thorough during the install process. a nice surprise was that they did not use a hard demarcation line, as the saleman expected, between the kitchen and foyer, but we're able to provide a smooth transition between rooms, even with a slight change in level. They finished within the time we requested and cleaned the area completely before departing. Use and care instructions were provided. We were very pleased and anticipate doing additional spaces as budget allows.

Al was very helpful in guiding us to suppliers for our materials, and extended his contractor discount to us. He gave us a good supply list so that we had everything we needed, and his team provided the raw materials such as sheetrock. I liked this aspect, in that we were able to pick out whatever materials we wanted, and determine our own materials budget. The team was punctual, fairly clean, and worked efficiently. There were a few snags in the project which I think they handled well, though they did seem to be under the gun as far as their schedule. I was fairly happy with the quality of the finished job, and they worked professionally.

I feel the job was priced fairly, and was completed on my time schedule. I called Al back to go over the shower repair to ensure we were on the same page as to what the job entailed prior to him starting it. He accommodated my request, no problem. He was punctual and was able to direct me to a place that I could purchase the tile at for a reasonable price. I felt that he was looking out for me and led me to places where I could purchase my marble tile. He was willing to come back out and make sure I was happy with the work.

Empire did a great job from helping us decide what to do, to picking it out to performing the work - it looks beautiful still!

The sales person was very professional and thorough. There was no pressure. The installer were on time and very helpful. They explained the process and finished in a timely manner. The price was competitive but given the time frame we had to work with, shopping around wasn't an option.

They started in May but there were some delays, so the project wasn't completed until a few days ago. They showed up on time, paid attention to detail and cleaned up after themselves. Aside from the delays they did a wonderful job. Their price was competitive, as well.

They were relatively easy to work with and their price seemed reasonable.

I cannot possibly say enough wonderful things about Al, Mike, Jay and Bee. They were friendly, professional and meticulous in their work. Al always kept us informed of when he would be there and what he planned to get done each day. They cleaned up each day before they left and completed the whole job in a very timely manner. The whole process took one week from start to finish. We plan on painting ourselves and I assumed I would be wiping down filmy tile cleaning up little plaster blobs and such but there was not one speck of plaster dust left for me to clean and the plaster job was perfection as was the entire bathroom. They even sealed the grout!!!! They also replaced 3 doors for me, including perfect trim, and caulked between trim and wall too. If you want perfection and good people to boot, go with Al Paciotti and his crew. I can't wait until I can save up enough to have another project done and have them back. Al returned my call very quickly after I contacted him. From the initial call through the completion of my kitchen, Al made himself very available. I was apprehensive about what the experience would be like with three dogs, but Al and his crew were great with them. Giving them attention and even throwing toys for them every now and then when they were outside cutting tile, etc. Al was very patient and explained each step in the process to me. The demolition was done very quickly and everything was removed the same day. They were so efficient and I was amazed with the work that was completed each day. The kitchen looks amazing. It looks so amazing that I have many more plans for Empire Remodeling. Now that I know the quality of work, I wouldn't use anyone else

He was very accommodating and came out within the time-frame we discussed. I would probably not use this service in the future. It was not just the quote, but just a vibe I got.

Overall we had a good experience. The quality of the work is very high, and they worked quickly. The only issues we had were that the crew frequently showed up later than the agreed upon time.

The project started February 16, 2012. Demolition took a lot less time then I anticipated, and all debris was removed from site without needing a dumpster, saving us money. At the end of each day, we were more & more excited seeing so much accomplished so quickly. Al kept us informed about what would be done the next day, so we could adjust our lives accordingly,(we're not spring chicks). Start to finish took 14 work days. Al & crew were at all times,courteous , professional, and world-class craftsmen. They all could and did multi-task, and the end product is so much better then we could have thought. Al's estimate was on target, no surprises. Considering all the horror stories you hear about re-modeling , we are more then happy to have joined Angie's list and found this great contractor. Thanks!

The entire process went very smoothly. We were told the remodel would take a week and that's what it took (apart from a delay on the door because we did not have it yet). They did a great job accomplishing all the things we asked for and staying pretty close to the original estimate in terms of price. The finished product looks great and we would definitely use them again. The above price was for services and basic materials. It doesn't include tile, fixtures, vanity, etc.

Excellent quality with a tight schedule. They were willing to work weekends and long hours to get the job done without jeapordizing overall quality.

They showed up and did the job for what they quoted us. They were one of the few companies that did call me back so we went with them. We are pleased with the work that they did. I plan on using them again in the spring for another job.

The process went well did not go with this contractor due to the price being much higher than other quotes.

Their quote was $6000. It was substantially higher than other providers. We had a pleasant experience with them. They were very professional. They seemed to be positive. They were prompt. We would not use them again in the future.

They were very professional,very knowledgeable, straight forward.

They were fine and did a good job. We had a bit of a misunderstanding about when we needed it to be finished. That was probably just a miscommunication and we both owned a piece, so not a complaint. I kind of got the feeling that I just needed to be real specific.

They were great! My friend even hired them after seeing the work they did on mine and she loved them as well!

Al and his staff did an absolutely beautiful job remodeling my bathroom. Al gave me the best estimate and explained everything completely. He gave me the option of choosing and buying the tile, suggested where I should buy it, and explained how to measure so that I would get enough of both the wall and floor tile . I did this and got exactly what I wanted and saved a considerable amount of money. Despite the terrible weather, everything involved in remodeling the bathroom went incredibly smoothly. The entire job took less than five days and everything was done exactly as I wanted it done.
