DOUG'S APPLIANCE SVC

Maximum stars for Doug. On time, worked long and hard to repair. Unfortunately part needed was no longer available. Microwave old. HIGHLY recommend Doug. He is a wonderful man.

Excellent! Doug came out to identify the problems. Gave me a quote. Ordered parts and charged exactly as quoted. Very honest, skilled work. I also felt secure knowing that he orders parts from the manufacturers rather than after-market parts. Would definitely hire again. Highly ecommend to anyone needing appliance repair.

Very prompt, reasonably priced. Made diagnosis and ordered part. Returned when part came in. Dryer fixed and dried clothes though somewhat slow. Did not make sure that this was only problem. Come to find out that my dryer vent is also clogged. Feel that Doug should have checked for this and advise me what to do. Overall he is good though limited in his scope of repairs.

Doug had to order a new part. When it came in he called to schedule an appointment and installed it all within a few days. Great service!!!!

Doug was honest and forthright about the issue with the machine. He suggested replacing the machine due to the repair cost involved in making the machine whole again, thus, we opted to repair it one more time. This is our 4th or 5th dealing with Doug and we would not use anyone else for all our appliance problems. He usually responds same day if you catch him early enough and is extremely fair in his prices and labor charges. Highly recommend.

Doug gave me a price for a diagnostic as we made the appointment over the phone. When he'd determined the problem, the diagnostic price came off the bill, and we only paid for parts & labor. VERY fair price! He answers his own phone, makes and keep appointments promptly, and is very personable. He was also very flexible about when he'd arrive to do the work. I have a strange work schedule, and he easily worked around it. I couldn't be happier!

Doug was Excellent! He gave a very fair price and was right on time. The only thing I wish he did want take a credit card. Thank goodness my fiance had cash when Doug came. All in all I would hire Doug again in a second.

Pretty well. After I called we made an appointment for the next day. He showed up within the time window he gave me, and completed the job within an hour.

Very good. He was punctual and kept me informed at every step. He looked at the dishwasher and immediate knew where the problem might be. With in next few minutes my dishwasher was working again.

The repairman came within in the two-hour window he gave us when we called, and he fixed the washer promptly. He was friendly and informative and got the job done quickly, since he had the part in his vehicle. We will definitely call him again.

eOver the phone he mentione dhe will conme between 3 and 5 but came at 5.20 pm that ok. Then he saw the burnner and try to unscrew the screw which he could not do it later he cleaned with the pin. So in my view as service man he should able to unsrew even it is tight which he coul dnot do it . So i didn't like the service, He himslef told the spark pin gone down and to move he need to unscrew so he could not doit that too also. then he charged 63.90 43. as labor but when i asked he argues since i don't want to argue i paid. but the way he told over the phone is not correct. am not satisfied with the service

This is the second time I have used Doug for appliance repair. I called him at 1pm and he was at my house by 6:45 (gave me a window of 6-8). He was concise, efficient, and accurate. Doug had the part in his car, and the next thing I knew he was writing the bill and left. I would HIGHLY recommend him. A+ service. Compared to the competition, Doug has them beat on price too! Honest guy doing honest work.

Doug came within 1 day, and promptly identified the issue and got it repaired. We're happy about the service and the outcome.

Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Called in the morning and Doug was able to come that evening in the 2 hour window he gave us and the job was finished quickly,

I was very disappointed and frustrated and still have a broken ice maker. I will have to try and find a new repair person - who will hopefully be able to communicate and fix the problem. I have never had a negative experience like this from anyone I have gotten on Angie's list and that is really why I use Angie's List so much.

I called Doug in the morning and he gave me a 2 hour arrival window that same afternoon. He showed up on time and was very courteous and fixed the ice maker.

Doug just left my house. Called him this morning about 9:30am and he said he would be here between 11:00a - 1:00p. He was here at 12:3p. Quickly diagnosed the problem, had the part in his truck and repaired my washer in less than an hour. All it took was my lunch break! Of course the cost is always more than we want to pay but compared to other quotes from area repair shops, his price was fantastic. Fast, efficient and reasonable. Will definitely call him again for all of my appliance repair needs. Thank you Doug!

We are very happy with his service. He was on time, quick, and inexpensive. A great deal.

Our gas stove was not operating well. It kept going on and off and took forever to get to desired heat. It made a whoosh flame sound while warming up that was not normal. I called Doug and he cam same day - he had the part which was an igniter - ours had gone bad and was not sensing properly. The job took about 30 minutes and it works great!

Highly recommend Doug. Showed up when he said he would, professional work. Explained what he had to do. Price more than reasonable. Great service

It went well. He was very knowledgeable. He adjusted the washer machine to take stress off the water pump by not pumping against gravity. He was able to run the washer machine without water which allowed him to balance the machine correctly. This is the second time he has been to the house and we are very pleased with his service. He is timely, works quickly, and is always giving advice about how to maximize efficiency.

I called Doug yesterday and was able to make an appointment for today. He came out during the hours he said he would, was very informative about the problem with my washer, was able to get it working again. He also looked up the necessary replacement part and informed me of the cost. He took the time to fully explain the problem, It was a pleasure to deal with him.

Doug promptly responded and came over the next day. Very knowledgeable, thorough and experienced. Happy about the service and about the outcome.

I called Doug's Appliance Service at about 10:30 AM, talked with Doug and made an appointment for 3 to 5 PM. After about an hour Doug called back to say that he had a cancellation and he was available in the next half-hour. Upon arrival he inspected the stove and the oven and checked the gas valves and electrical panel. He confirmed that the oven did not light even though everything else was working. Then confirmed that the igniter was not performing properly, the resistance in the igniter was too low. After shutting off the power, he removed the igniter and replaced it with one from his truck. After connecting the electrical wires and mounting the igniter he tested again and we could both see that the igniter was getting very hot. In a matter of seconds the gas ignited. A further test was done to be sure that the gas shut off properly when the igniter cooled off. It did. I am a curious guy and Doug didn't seem to mind explaining things to me as he went along. I learned a lot. I found that the price for the new igniter was significantly cheaper than what I could get it for locally and about equal to what the on-line parts places charge (and then there is a delivery charge on top of that). So, I got an expert service man, and a lower priced part. And it was all done in less than an hour. From the time I initially called Doug's until it was all done, it was about 3 hours. That is great service. This great service is why I said that I was fortunate to not be able to get the part to do it myself. This was better.
