Description of Work: My LG front load washer needed a replacement for a heat sensor. I called in the morning, AA came in the afternoon. Charged a "fee" of $364. My wife paid AA $273 until the part arrived by mail to my house. Balance due at repair time. I had agreed to pay $120 for the diagnosis, sum that would be applied to the total bill. Before the technician came back to replace the part, I requested he come with a bill with parts and labor clearly separated. The "boss," to whom I spoke ,refused to provide such a breakdown. I checked the cost of the part from their supplier: $8.48. In a YouTube video of this specific repair, the technician took 11 minutes. It is a repair I did not want to venture and do myself. However the "fee" was excessive. The "Boss agreed to finish the repair for $273 I had already paid, however "with no guarantee". Conclusions: 1. Ask for a parts and labor estimate. 2. "How to do" everything and anything is on a YouTube video. Check them. You may be able to perform the repair yourself. I changed the LG water pressure regulator myself last week after watching the how to video on Youtube. The part cost me $20. It took me 15 minutes. 3. Don't go with the fast response guy. Shop around.
