A Action Appliance

Although this is a newer model, low H2O, based on what needs to be replaced to complete this repair, it is simply not worth the cost to repair ...so we have decided to purchase a new washing machine.

Since it was a non standard part, the part had to be ordered. We were about a week without the oven

Technician was very professional and courteous.

Technician arrived on time, determined that compressor was not working. Tried replacing a relay that controls the compressor and this got it working, but he explained that the compressor was working extra hard because of a loss of freon and there was a good likelihood that it would blow out the new relay within a couple of months. We elected to have the new relay taken out and give up on the refrigerator. We paid the service call charge. Later in the day I bought a new refrigerator.

Needed a fuse replaced. $281 for a fuse seemed a bit pricey, but he also cleaned out all of the vents when he replaced the fuse. Happy with the prompt service and would call them again.

Great! Prompt, efficient service at all levels.

Fixed problem and said "bad connection " as problem. Really would have liked much more details on what was wrong in case of recurrence. Other than that, still fixed a couple weeks later. Hoping stays fixed. No complaints so far! Good company repairing higher end appliances.

As above - went great! The PART from Maytag was crazy-expensive, but that's not AAction's fault, and they were entirely upfront about it and let me know. I decided to go through with it because it was that or replace the whole stove, which is ridiculous. The part had to be ordered, but as soon as it came in, they were ready to schedule and very responsive. Just finished the job, all nice and neat, very personable and competent folks both on the phone and in the field. I'm hoping I don't HAVE to hire them again anytime soon, but I wouldn't hesistate to do so if I need 'em.

Leak was fixed. Had to call back dishwasher would not start. Came back and reset fault.

I called Action Appliance to let them know and they sent out a technician in a timely manner who found the hose was block from debris due to the original pump failure, the technician repaired it and I was not charged. Thankfully my dishwasher is running smoothing again just in time for the Holidays! I would definitely recommend Action Appliance, they had come out before to repair a washing machine and were very helpful and knew exactly what the problem was and repaired it immediately and at a very low cost compared to the previous service I had been using.

Service technician competent and very friendly. Phone receptionists bouncy cheerful. Management laughing all the way to the bank. Their web site says service call ABSOLUTELY FREE (if your appliance gets repaired, you don?t pay the service fee). Understand what that means. It is not a "service" fee. It is what they charge to give you an estimate. You pay either for the service call ($100.00) or the repair which you have no idea how much the estimate will be. The technician gets on his tablet pc and gets the "Bluebook" value for that repair like an auto repair place. The estimate to replace our $20.00 plastic blower fan was $328.00. When he saw my jaw drop he gave me an instant coupon for $25.00 off. Wonderful! You can buy a new dryer for $300.00. Now I'm already 1/3 of the way there. $100.00 for what his ticket said was 45 minutes to diagnose and keep the broken dryer or go ahead and fix it. I said alright, fix it. That means him ordering the part that he said he just used up from his van on another call last week. The part will be shipped to my house (not their shop) and when I get it I'm supposed to call an 800 number to schedule the repair. And I'm supposed to put down 3/4 of the cost up front. I did that. (Ee Haw! Ee Haw!) Then I changed my mind and asked for a refund. They said I couldn't get a refund until I returned the part that was being shipped to my house and I might be subject to a "restocking fee." I said I didn't see why I should pay to restock a part he should have had on his truck anyway. When the part came I took it to their office myself. They refunded everything EXCEPT the "Service Fee" plus tax. Bottom line: I paid them $106.30 and they didn't fix my dryer. I don't expect them to work for nothing but you decide how much you want to subsidize this sort of thing or make a few more calls around before you invite them over. Or just call nobody and go and get a new appliance. Martin 12/3/14 I actually got a call from one of their managers who was sorry that I got such a case of "sticker shock." And when he said, "I too, am a customer. . . " I felt he was sincere. He even offered to refund the whole amount to me. But I told him I didn't really expect that and that I knew they have overhead and I don't mind them making money and I hope they pay their service men well, etc. They actually did put another $26.59 back into my bank account. So, they ain't all bad but the advise in my last paragraph from before still holds: I don't expect them to work for nothing but you decide how much you want to subsidize this sort of thing or make a few more calls around before you invite them over.
