The new tank went in great but was carried out by a sub-contractor who we would use again. However, the removal of the old tank was a nightmare. They dug it out and filled in the hole with exisiting and some new soil then sent a sample away for testing. The test came back with contamination and A-1 told us we needed to dig the hole again, this time removing 20 cubic yards of soil and have a re-test. They also said we had to re-fill the hole with new soil as the hole could not be left open and disposing of the old soil. Then another sample tested to check for any remaining contamination. Additional cost $6,000. So that would have meant digging and filling the hole twice. disposing of some new soil along with the contaminated soil, paying to have new soil brought in to fill the hole the second time but still not knowing if all the contaminated soil had been removed and risking doing the whole thing over again at a total cost of $9,795. If we had to dig a third time, presumably that would have been at least another $6,000! We spoke to DEEP and Town of Manchester, contacted another contractor and the feedback was that the hole did not need to be filled untl we knew the test result and the additional costs quoted of $6,000 was way over the top even if we did need to dispose of the soil and bring in fresh to re-fill the hole. Also, we could use an on-site tester and just dig until the contamination was removed so might not have to dig out 20 cubic yards. Don't use these scammers and don't use their parent comany E-Z Oil either - check out their reviews on Yelp
