As the nation’s largest full-service exterior home remodeler, we are backed by over 1,000+ Angi Super Service awards and more than one million happy customers. Why? Because we treat each job as an audition. An opportunity to prove ourselves to you. And the results speak for themselves. So make your home all it was meant to be with our unrivaled exterior services. Contact us today for a free, no obligation estimate on replacement windows, roofing, siding, doors, or attic insulation.

"4/ 8/22: We contracted with Power Home Remodeling to have all our windows replaced, new siding installed, a new front and basement door installed and shutters installed. The job was scheduled to be done in mid-February. This was supposed to be approximately a 5 day job. As of today, April 8th, it remains uncompleted. Two windows were measured incorrectly, and the replacements could not be installed. We needed to wait for new windows to be manufactured. No big deal for us. We liked the product and were willing to wait. Then at the end of day of installation, we found several new window screens had rips in them. They needed replacement. The majority of the screens were not stretched tight enough on their frames. They were getting pulled and stretched in a light wind. In addition, The brick molding for the basement door wasn’t completed. Two back windows were not boxed out when the siding was installed. The tin work around an arched window needs to be redone because it wasn’t secured well and is loose and floppy. And our front door would not lock without us pulling up on the door knob to engage the bolt. The front door is out of plumb and needs to be completely reset, and the bottom edge of the door is cracked. Our project manager saw these problems in person. He even noticed some of them before we did. We were told all of this would be remedied, including a new door, new screens, etc. And we were ok with that. Even after finding over 50 aluminum nails in our driveway that were not cleaned up (We’re still finding them. Fortunately no flat tires) we were willing to give the company the benefit of the doubt. Mainly because our project manager was doing his best. Our work date was changed a couple times-windows not ready, bad weather. Ok. These things happen. We waited. Then we were told that today would be the day when the work would be completed. This was confirmed twice by phone calls from the home office. This morning my husband moved furniture, took curtains down, put tarps down, paid for our dog to be boarded for the day. At 7:22AM, my husband received a voicemail message from our project manager telling us he didn’t know who in the home office told us they were coming today, but they were still on another job and would not be coming for another 4 days. My husband (with a leg injury) now had to move everything back. We did our research with this company. We own a 1000 sq for home. We are by no means wealthy. But we wanted quality product. We are paying A LOT of money for this work. I waited until now to submit a review because I honestly wanted to be fair and give things a chance to get ironed out. I would have given one star, but our project manager has really tried, and the house does look nice. But nice doesn’t cut it if quality isn’t there too. The second star is for our project manager alone. We are very disappointed and questioning our decision to have this work done. Maybe in the future I can update this review to something more positive, but based on our experience to date, we cannot recommend Power Home Remodeling and regret our decision to contract them for this work. 4/11/22 Update: Today was supposed to be the day everything was corrected. I received a voice mail 2 days ago stating the crew would be here between 8-10AM today. At 11:00AM we contacted them. And they are not coming today. Nobody notified us. Not sure how long we would have waited before someone did. Once again,we moved furniture, put tarps down, paid for our dog to be boarded. I’d give no stars if I could. Never again. Poor installation, damaged material, poor cleanup, terrible customer service. This isn’t how you treat clients who are paying you 50+ grand."

"I was on the market for a security system and this one seemed easy enough to install.......went through the process and some of the window sensors were not working. I called Customer Support who was very friendly and we went through the entire process again...this time other window sensors did not work. This went on for a week or so...then the door senors stopped working....than the motion sensor stopped working...at no time in over a month did I have a fully operational security system. As I was about to return the system I was told they have "new" sensors and they just realized they received a bad batch and are working with another company.....Gave it a try....and same issue returned....some sensors worked....some didn't. I finally returned the system and stopped getting emails.....only to find that they were still billing my credit card even after I returned the equipment. Very nice people and very understanding.....unfortunately their product is not up to par. While we do have a large home, it's an open concept and the sensors that weren't working were no more than 15ft away from the base. The previous owners of my house had a wireless system with no issues at all.....I'm going to be using that company going forward."

Hurricane film services FAQs

The average cost for window security film is around $7 per square foot or $42 per window. However, your total could range from $3 to $15 per square foot or $18 to $90 per window. The cost depends on the square footage of your window, the thickness and quality of the security film, the number of windows, and the type of windows.

Hurricane window film costs about $350 for a 75-foot roll, which can cover about 10 average-sized windows. This film can help prevent window shattering during extremely high winds, but it’s not impact-resistant like storm windows.

Your homeowners insurance provider may decrease your premium if you improve the security of your home with window security film. You can contact your insurer to determine whether there will be a change in cost after applying this addition. If there is a decrease in your homeowners insurance premium or deductible, it will likely only be available if your window film is installed by a professional window film installer.

Window security film won’t prevent break-ins or stop your window from shattering from impact during extreme weather like hurricanes or tornadoes. However, applying security film is relatively inexpensive, and it can make breaking into your home significantly harder—often hard enough to deter burglars entirely—and keep your window from shattering on your floor after impact. For these reasons, window security film is often a worthwhile investment that helps protect your property.

Window security film has a few key benefits that make it an enticing home improvement:

  • It’s much more affordable than shatterproof windows or hurricane windows.

  • It improves your home’s energy efficiency and can save money on heating and cooling bills.

  • It makes it harder to break into your home.

  • It helps prevent dangerous shattered glass after an impact.

  • You can tint it to provide additional protection from the sunlight.

Applying window security film yourself is possible, but we don’t recommend it. This task is simple in theory, but getting the product to sit on your windows evenly and without bubbles underneath is challenging for DIYers who lack the necessary experience and tools. You might save money on labor by applying it yourself, but you might also end up with a film that doesn’t look appealing, prompting you to start over and spend the money on a professional installation anyway. Plus, most window film manufacturers will void your warranty if you install the product yourself.
