We Scheduled the work to be done, that week.. Unfortunately, it rained too hard.. (really) scheduled for the following week. Postponed, because half his crew had quit. (so he said) following week, he showed up with his climber and 3 other guys that he hired that day to do the grunt work. One of the guys had brought his dog and left him in the car.. We complained about that, it was too hot out.. He left the truck running all day with the AC on. (or I would have called the cops). First day big maple tree cut down to the trunk and gone. Some logs left to be moved the next day. next day rain.. a few days later he showed up to move the rest of the wood off the property. and graded, some. But he graded to the back of the property where other buildings were and not downhills towards the road to let our property drain. He Left me a small lake that almost went into our shed.. He left the bobcat and told us he would be back the following day. Next day he showed up with is stump grinder, set it up, and tried for an hour to start it. Obviously it was left out in the rain and would not fire due to moisture. nothing was done that day.. We called him a few days later and he said that he had to order parts for the stump grinder... about a week went by and not a word from him and we left numerous voicemails which he never returned. One day he showed up with his flatbed and said he had good news and bad news... Good news his parts were in and the machine was fixed, bad news, he could not come over for another few days.. He took his bobcat. and left. never heard back from him again. what he Actually did for us was take down our Maple tree... I cannot say that he graded the yard, because of the mess he left in the angle he was grading. Husband finally had to go and rent a John Deere to finish the grading ourselves... The price he quoted us was not the price we paid... I had paid him when he showed up and finished the work for the day. He was due final payment when the job was completed.. so he did not get all the money he asked for. NEVER NEVER hire this guy and pay him up front.. !! you will never see him again!.
