+ -1 moreI paid for this via Angie's List. I received no response for several days, so I called. They hadn't received the message from the list, but they scheduled me for right away. They fixed the problem immediately and arranged to come back the next day for the override. For that they arrived as scheduled. Very professional.

+ -1 moreI called, they scheduled an "early next week" appointment, it was a July 4th week the holiday being on Tuesday. However, they forgot to show up. We called again, and they committed to a scheduled appointment for 1200 two days hence. They did show up on time, however, the part needed wasn't in the truck. So, they promised to show the next day and complete the work. I think they are over committed and understaffed. I'd hire again to work on our garage door. Once on-time and on-site with the correct parts, they are superior pros. The price was several hundred dollars while expensive, but we needed the garage door to work.
Description of Work: Garage Door springs broke and required repalcement.

+ -1 moreWe called Advantage on Thursday and were told that they'd be out on Friday at 11:00. At 11:30 I called to follow up and was told he lost my number and was tied up for the rest of the day. I explained that my door was stuck open. He said that he couldn't promise he'd be there that afternoon, but would definitely make it out by no later then the following day. I called again on Saturday to ask if he was going to make it out, or if I should call someone else. I never got a reply and have since had it fixed by someone else.
Description of Work: We had a spring broken on our garage door opener.

He had nothing to do with the pass through door; he was just trying to help us achieve the look we wanted on that side of the house. We were very particular about what we wanted and Carl had infinite patience working with us. We worked together for about 5 months. He said he realized we were spending lots of money so he wanted to get it right. He ordered wood samples and stain samples for us. He gave us directions to various houses in our area so we could see different style garage doors. Carl was very knowledgeable, professional and definitive about his products. He is a businessman who has his customer's best interest as his priority. We are very happy with the doors.
Description of Work: We completely renovated our home and that renovation included new garage doors. We initially were going to have a pass through door next to our 2 garage doors. We wanted all three doors to match in color so we tried to get all of the doors made of the same wood. (The stain would have looked different if the woods were different.) Even though Carl's business had nothing to do with the pass through door, Carl consulted many people that he knew in order to help us. We wanted to find a pass through door made of Spanish cedar because that's the wood species Carl thought would be best for our garage doors given our proximity to salt water. He eventually found a company that would make the door for us, but it was cost prohibitive, so we decided not to have a pass through door. The garage doors and the automatic openers were installed on time and are absolutely beautiful!
