They never sent me a quote I requested

Needed to have several doors re-keyed for my daughter's new home. Had terrible experience with another "locksmith" and did not use them. Called West Hartford Lock, my husband spoke with the office manage, Kathy Cerruto. Could not have been nicer, more professional, or more helpful. Someone went to my daughter's a few days later and re-keyed several locks in not too much time. VERY reasonable. Would absolutely recommend and use them again.

I worked with a guy named Drew. He returned my call first thing in the morning and was able to come out within 45 minutes. Not only did he put the new lock on, which required drilling a new hole through the door and shifting the latch lower, he also went over how to put the codes in and use the lock. He was very friendly and knowledgeable with what he was doing. I'd recommend them again. It cost me $65 for him to drive out to the next town and $75 for the installation. $10 cheaper than the locksmith tat was down the street from me.

Couldn't be happier! I called West Hartford Lock at 9am and the serviceman Kris was walking through my door by 1pm. Within 30 minutes the work was completed. The bill was reasonable and in line with the quote they gave me earlier in the day. I would definitely use them again and recommend.

The technician never showed up or called...I waited the 2 hour window I was given and even an additional hour before I called. I called the office and they apologized and rescheduled me for that Friday. It wasn't an emergency so I said fine. They were going to call me with a time. They didn't call with a time so I emailed to inquire. Got a call with an apology again but still no time. Friday came and went and nothing since. Guess they don't want my business. Will need to look for another on the list I guess. I understand things happen but I am not going to beg to be a customer

Kris was very good and did a very nice job. He even fixed the locks so that they were smooth to lock and unlock. I would use his services again although hopefully I'm not gonna be buying a new home in the future. It was alittle pricey but he did drive all the way out from West Hartford which was part of the price. Honestly, I could have done it myself but it would have taken a lot longer for me to do it. I'd rather just pay the professional.

Fantastic service. Very Professional. Rekeyed all of the locks in my house and cut me several spares. He also noticed the metal lock plate where the bolt comes out of the back door was broken and added a replacement lock plate for Free. I called a bunch of locksmiths for this simple job and they were all MUCH more expensive. It's a simple common service and I think some of the locksmiths take advantage of that and charge much more. Will definitely use West Hartford Lock for any locksmith issues in the future.

Love West Hartford Lock Company! I decided to call this company based on the many positive reviews on Angie's List. We have had problems for years with old and and quot;stickyand quot; doorknobs, and a back door that never closed correctly. Kris from WH Lock Co. arrived promptly. He was friendly, courteous, professional and incredibly efficient. At last, we have full use of all of these previously and quot;brokenand quot; doors and knobs/keys! Price was very reasonable as well. We would definitely hire West Hartford Lock Company again. Thank you, Kris... great job!

This guy really knows his stuff! We first went through the house and I showed him all the locks that I thought needed to be re-keyed. He worked on them one at a time, noticed a few items needing fixing, and every time something did need fixing he would come get me and explain asking whether I wanted the problem corrected or not. He works very quickly, is very thorough, very knowledgeable, notices all the details. All my doors / locks work better now and lock easier. He did show up a little late, but called and let me know he was running late. Overall, I'm very happy with the results. Given how much he actually did, the $486 seems reasonable.

The technician was extremely helpful and performed the work quickly. All in I believe he re-keyed about 7 doors and changed one broken mechanism. In addition, we had a couple of doors that were and quot;toughand quot; to open and/or unlock -- he fixed them for us, and they're now working extremely smoothly -- and he did this free of charge as he was rekeying the doors. Highly recommend WH Lock to anyone.

The locksmith was very respectful of my home environment. He worked quietly and neatly. I called the evening before and was traveling for work during the weekend, so I wanted the locks changed the following day if at all possible. I left an email to them, followed by a call to them as soon as they opened that morning. Within two hours, West Hartford Lock sent a locksmith over. He was very honest, saying it would cost less to change the cylinders than to replace the complete doorknob for the back and side doors, but the doorknobs are as old as the house (75 years), so I may consider changing them, but it's my call to make. No pressure, just a presentation of facts. I opted to change two of the three doorknobs completely and changed only the cylinder on the front door, which has a newer knob. Overall, service was prompt and affordable. I'd definitely use them again.

I had called the previous day, and had asked for someone to come out to rekey the locks. The person I spoke to said that they would send someone, between 11 and two, and they would call first. Drew called at around 12:30 and said that he would be there shortly. He did great work, and even fixed my front door, and told me that there was a part failing, but that the company would send it to me for free, and he would call the company and arrange that. The one thing that I was not told on the phone is that there was an automatic $50 charge just to come out. That came out when I asked how much it would be to install the new part, and was told that there would be a fifty dollar fee to come out and then $40 or so to install the new part. Otherwise, he was very professional, very quick, and did a great job!

Great service - fixed the door lock and realized I had lost the key to a different door. He fixed both!

Overall, this was a fantastic experience. I called, scheduled the visit and Dean showed up on time and made sure we had everything we needed. I will call WH Lock anytime I have locksmith needs and would highly recommend this business to my friends and family.

Excellent. The service man arrived when expected, provided service and much more advice for owners new to the area.

Needed a lock repair on a fire alarm door, and despite not really knowing how to explain the problem in the correct terminology, the person I spoke with when I first called, as well as the repairman who called to set the appointment seemed to understand what I was trying to explain. The work was completed quickly, and he explained what happened to cause the lock to stop working and what he had done to fix it as well.

Because of the snowstorm, the service date had to be changed to the next day. The service person arrived on time and re-keyed the locks quickly and efficiently. I would use the company again.

I have not completed the project yet.

The person who came out was very good and the price was reasonable for what he had to do. He went above and beyond.

Drew was professional and nice. He came in, got to work and when I mentioned I had never had oil heat or septic/well he gave me tips I did not know.

We bought a new house and we thought that we needed to have all of the locks changed. When Drew came out to the house he explained that our current locks were of really good quality and that our locks could be re-keyed. This would cost less money then to change the entire locks. He also added a new lock to the basement door and repaired a lock to our garage. He was very professional, answered all of my questions and maintained a very neat work area. I would absolutely recommend this company and would use them again for any services that we might have in the future.

They did a good job. It was about 15 years ago since we had that done. They did a very professional job at that time. More recently, I haven't had any major work done by them but if I were to need locks installed, I would call them first. We had them make locks that looked same in appearance but we also wanted all of them to be keyed with the same key, so regardless which door we are coming in, we can use the same key and they took care of all that. They service a whole different line of locks and we decide what model we need. They will make recommendations, sometimes we get what we pay for and they tell us basically these are the ranges and we upgraded our locks at that time, we got better locks and that was important at that time.

I wanted to get the locks changed on all the doors and Chris of West Hartford Lock Co came over and helped me. He changed the key codes and gave me new keys. He also got rid of the old keys and parts. When the front door handle had a problem, he helped me get the part from the Baldwin Lock Company and came back again to fix it and only charged me a minimal amount for it. Overall, he is a professional and sticks to his time and word. He always calls ahead with a time estimate.

He arrived and got right to work on all 4 locks. Lost no time talking.
