Description of Work: We hired Hurlburt's Plumbing again, but this time to install our gas stove. The previous stove was electric so a gas line had to be run from the kitchen to the basement.

Description of Work: Oil to gas conversion. He did exactly what he said he was going to do for the price he quoted. I plan on hiring Al in the future and have already referred him to a neighbor. We had delays in the project which were not in his control. We did have to follow up with him to ensure that the paperwork was submitted to the utility company in time to ensure that we would receive the promotional discount being offered. The paperwork was submitted and the job was completed within the appropriate time frame.

+ -1 moreWe contacted several gas plumbers for quotes for bringing gas into the house and switching out our oil boiler and water heater. Hurlburt's Plumbing had the best price and we trusted them the most. We never felt like were being up-sold or and we truly appreciated Al's approach to helping us decide what we needed (and what we didn't). Since we were brand new first-time homeowners at the time we were very nervous about being taken advantage of and we were pleasantly surprised with how painless it was to get our new systems installed and stay within our budget. The first winter when we turned the heat on it didn't work - Al came out that night and fixed it right up for no charge (our model of boiler had just switched to an "energy saving" part that caused the pilot to go out. Al switched out the small piece with a better one and it took all of 5 minutes). We've had our system for almost 3 years now and we are happy customers.
Description of Work: We had a gas line brought to the house and Hurlburt's Plumbing did all of our natural gas piping. They replaced our old oil boiler and water heater with new gas ones.

Description of Work: Al converted my system from oil to gas and installed an on-demand water heater. He had a lot of great suggestions and was really, really fast! He took down a 35 year old oil burner and oil tank in 2 days. Whenever I called him with a question he answered his phone - a rarity these days! I highly recommend him.
