Apparently Healy is in the midst of renovating a house in my neighborhood which he intends to sell. When he discovered that I too am planning to sell my house, his demeanor changed from reasonable and helpful to crass, rude and argumentative. He became unavailable to work in the timeframe I requested and was unable to make promises about a start date or a completion date. I did not hire him because of his childish, petty, competitive, dishonest, rudeness.
Description of Work: Mr. Healy was argumentative, rude, and purposely brushed my breast with his arm. He does not respect boundaries and is ill-socialized. In a nutshell, he behaved like a male chauvinist, pig. Do not work with this man if you are a woman.

Bob came over and gave us and estimate and we talked about everthing we wanted done on our home. Robert provided us with an estimate and delivered more than we were expecting for much less than many other outrageous contractors were asking for the same projects. We have hired him on several occassionals and again have been more than pleased with his work.
Description of Work: We have hired Bob Healy on several occassions for various projects around our home and have always been exceptionally pleased in every way. Bob is a pleasure to work with, more than fair in his pricing, punctual, friendly, keeps an extremely clean working enviornment and we would never consider hiring or recommending anyone else. Bob provides fantastic quality workmanship for a very reasonable price. We are always looking forward to the next impovement Bob can add to the value of our home. We have found that this type of quality work is hard to come by these days and so appreciate all that Bob has done for us. Thank you Bob ! It's been a pleasure and we look forward to hiring you again in the near future. Anyone would be lucky to have Bob take on a job at their home.

Bob Healy was recommended to us by our painter, Don Fritz, who we also highly recommend. My wife and I were thrilled with Bob's carpentry work, and we consider ourselves lucky to have found him. In addition to the main job of installing our kitchen cabinets, he has done several other carpentry jobs for us, including installation of crown mouldings in our living room and dining room, and installation of an attic ladder on our second floor. We purchased our cabinets (Diamond Reflections line) from Lowe's. We opted to have our own installer rather than use a Lowe's-provided installer, because we wanted someone who was going to take his time and not rush through the job. We also knew there would be a lot of additional carpentry work required that the Lowe's installer would have to charge for (over and above the number they quoted us in the store). By negotiating a flat rate with Bob, we felt protected from the and quot;hidden extra costsand quot; that I think the Lowe's installer would have charged us for all the extra work required (e.g., soffit removal, cabinet alterations to accommodate pipes in ceiling, carpentry for kickspace heater, special trim work above sink, wainscoting installation, and coordination with other contractors). Bob met with me at our home several times to go over the plans and measurements, and then met with the salesperson at Lowe's to review and approve the final design. Bob was very patient in working with me (I tend to obsess over things) and with Lowe's (who seemed to be less than thrilled that we weren't using a Lowe's installer.) Bob Healy and his assistant, James Thompson, did a beautiful job of installing our kitchen cabinets, despite several challenges. One was that demolition of the soffits revealed pipes that had to be accommodated while installing the top cabinets. Another challenge was that the pantry cabinet, which Lowe's told us would be shipped as two pieces, was actually shipped as a single tall unit. Getting this massive piece into our kitchen and into the proper position required some creative solutions that Bob came up with. He also had to contend with uneven ceiling heights when installing the crown mouldings over the cabinets. And finally, he was able to use some spare pieces of trim and moulding to create a nice area where a soffit had once existed over the sink. This saved us from having to order (and wait for) extra materials from the cabinet manufacturer. Bob and his assistant were always punctual, and they cleaned up everything at the end of each work day. We asked Bob to add some wainscoting and mouldings to our kitchen, and it looked so good that we called him back to extend it into an adjacent area on a lower level just outside the first floor bathroom. The result was a beautiful design feature that visually ties together these two areas and adds a lot of eye appeal. Bob coordinated the work between the electrician, plumber, and painter, so that our kitchen remodel went smoothly. The only thing he didn't get involved with was the countertop installation, which Lowe's contracted out to Dinstinctive Countertops (Wolcott, CT), and they also did a fine job. Crown mouldings were installed in our living room and dining room on 1/18/12. Kitchen cabinets were installed 3/21 thru 3/26/12. Countertops were installed (not by Bob) 4/12/12. Bob installed the additional wainscoting on 4/14/12. And we had Bob and James come back on 7/20/12 to install an attic ladder on our second floor, which also came out great. With Bob Healy, you are getting an experienced, master carpenter who can give you everything you want at a fair price. Both he and his assistant James Thompson were a pleasure to work with.
