 + -1 moreSebastian Prusik called before he came and was very punctual. He spent over 3 hours diligently and patiently trying to remove the virus that had badly infected my PC. He was thorough and it showed that he was really dedicated toward getting rid of this issue without having to take the machine away. He succeeded and I was much relived and very grateful.

 + -1 moreMy computer started running real slow and would not boot up.Monitor went black.I took it to Nerds to Go in Guilford for diagnosis and repair. Only took a couple of days to fix it. When I bought it home monitor was still not working. I took it back to shop and technician did diagnosis while I waited. Sold me new 20'' Dell LCD monitor at substantial discount. First rate customer service and repair from receptionist to technical. All were very knowledgeable and gave me good information. Was well worth the money. I would recommend them to everyone. A good experience.
Description of Work: Diagnosis,did full tune up on system,removed Comcast guard and Norton, removed virus infection and all spyware traces, installed AVG 1 year Internet Protection and did a final cleanup scan,trimmed start up items. Sold me new 20'' Dell LCD monitor at a substantial discount.

 + -1 moreThey were able to correct and get the computer functioning at least to a level where it is usable. They actually come out to your home to work on the computer. They found out I had a bad drive and had to order a drive and will install that once it comes in. They were very good. In fact, something wasn't completed and the technician made a point of coming on his own time on a Sunday. He came to the house and repaired it at no cost. I was very impressed.
Description of Work: For computer repair I used Nerds to Go. I had several bugs and some serious problems with my computer.

They also made sure my laptop and iPhone was synced to my new computer. I've used Nerd To Go in the past and this is my third time using them over the last 5 or 6 years and they're always excellent.

Description of Work: I have used them on many occassions. It's rare to be able to recommend someone without any reservations! They cleaned my computer and got it working back to speed. I was ready toss it and for a few dollars they upgraded my memory and told me the old computer still had some life left in it. They fixed a few other issues including getting my work laptop to print to my home computer. Their prices are incredibly reasonable. They work around your schedule. My favorite tech is Oleg Epshteyn. I wish there were a category to say EXCEEDS EXPECTATIONS. I would check it. I'm fairlly new to Angie's list and this is my first review. Just thought about writing this review when I gave the name to someone who was looking for good service.

I brought it into the store on a Thursday for a full diagnostic and, as promised, received a call within 48 hours as to what the issues were. I was able to authorize the repairs over the phone and had my computer back on Tuesday. This was the first time I had used this business and I was impressed with the prompt and professional service I received. The price was what I expected to pay for the diagnostic service and repair.
Description of Work: Full cleanup and installation of antivirus and security software on a PC notebook.

Description of Work: We had a power outage/surge. Computer would not reboot. Called another service for help, they could not come out to our house for a week. Found this company on internet search, and because they would come to us rather than us bringing the computer to them, called to set up an appointment. They came the same day, diagnosed the problem, made calls to Dell Computer to arrange for parts needed, The parts arrived the next day with a Dell technician, who installed them at no charge under our warrantee. We would not hesitate to call them for future assistance. The technician was prompt, courteous, and accurately diagnosed the problem.

Description of Work: Technician installed two wireless access points, replaced server and one workstation, added a second workstation, installed software and configured all hardware for our small office network. Quick to schedule, knowledgeable, and easy to work with--would use again.

He was clear and made us understand things instead of saying things in computer language. He was very polite and gave us all our options. He came when he said he would be here.
