Project included oversight of independent contractors for electrical, plumbing, custom kitchen cabinets and granite counter tops. + 2 moreMy home is tenant occupied and they were very uncomfortable with damage situation, understandably. Although Fred was in the middle of a large bathroom remodel, he was able to quickly assess the damage, provide an estimate and begin the work. He communicated with me and my tenant in a professional manner. All work was completed as agreed upon.
Description of Work: Had extensive water damage to front foyer, family room, and utility closet from ice maker leak in kitchen upstairs. Needed sheet rock repair to ceiling and walls, and trim replacement as well as painting.

+ 0 moreThe job went very well. Fred the owner and his team were very responsive, they communicated prior to and throughout the job. They were punctual, started the job on time and arrived when they said they would. They quality of the work was terrific and Fred stuck very close to his estimate even though we added some work to the job while he was here. We will be remodeling our kitchen and bath at some point this year and will certainly call Fred again for the work.

Description of Work: We had 15 interior doors replaced in our home while we were away on a small vacation. Fred was extremely professional and left our house clean for our return. We have since used him for some additional small jobs and have been very happy.

Description of Work: The job that they did looked good to me. I hired Fred Bennett to do the job and he came and looked over the work to provide me with an estimate which he did. The price I thought was very fair seeing as another handyman asked 3 times what we were charged by Fred. His fee was very reasonable where the other estimate seemed way out of line for the amount of work to done. Will use Fred again! Definitely! | |

+ 10 moreMy new bathroom is spectacular! I am a perfectionist and am absolutely thrilled with the results. Fred Bennett of Guilford Home Improvements did an excellent job from start to finish. He carefully and thoroughly planned the remodel so that we were in total agreement as to exactly what would be done and when. His attention to detail is amazing---he is truly an expert craftsman. I also appreciated that he was neat and went to great lengths to be careful bringing in materials and tools so that there was no impact on other areas of my home. All of the work done---drywall, tile, woodwork, painting, etc. truly exceeded even my high standards. This is the first remodel I've have done by Guilford Home Improvements but have used them in the past for many smaller jobs (power washing, installation of bookshelves and sconces, mulching and planting, interior painting, furniture moving) and have always been extremely happy with the finished job. It is really nice to find a company that can do so much, whether a large or small job. I also found their prices to be reasonable and the work performed in a timely manner. I have great respect for Fred Bennett as a craftsman AND as a businessman. He is honest, reliable and trustworthy. THE BEST!!!
