Great and timely work and wonderful customer service

Initial contact was very good. Quote was received quickly. We asked for a site visit but was told it was unnecessary. Follow up contact was slightly difficult. Once we got closer to installation date the contact picked up. Crew arrived within acceptable window. They brought the correct shingles but the trim was white. I failed to notify that we needed brown; however, a site visit prior to installation would have shown the need for brown. The tear down was very quick and neat. They needed to replace a wood trim piece but did not have the supplies to do so. I gave them a new 2x4x8 to do the work. There was a failure in communicating a vital part of the contract (ridge vent). I told the crew when they were nearly finished that they still need to do the vent. They called the foreman and worked it out to have material delivered and quickly installed the vent. Clean up was above my expectations. The quality of the workmanship was also above my expectations. The project manager called me after the work was finished and arranged an inspection to make sure I was satisfied and to ask any questions. He arrived a few days later (gave me an opportunity to inspect) and we did the inspection together. I am fully satisfied with the work. The crew did a great job and worked quickly. Beyond the few little communication mishaps, I am very pleased with the whole outcome. Definitely recommend these folks.

Super job. Had 8 workers. Stripped old roof, installed new roof and did great job of clean up. All within 5 hours.

They had the best price and provided very good customer service.It was extremely cold on the day my roof was replaced. The crew worked diligently and spent all day to complete the job. I also contracted to have some chimney work completed which took a few days to finish because of weather issues. Paul was extremely helpful as my point person. Lenny V.

I would recommend them. They provided good price compared to others, Had good presentation of materials to review and explanation of estimate and work that would be done., Good customer service in being responsive. They cleaned up after quite well. Only downside were some issues with quality which I think happened because may have been going a little too fast. items: laying damaged shingles , missing caulking one area around chimney, and placing our satellite dish not quite right and near edge of roof instead of where it was before . Issues were found because when I went up on roof and check the work. All issues were fixed or replaced after a final review by them with me 2 days after.

Prompt and effficient

I would recommend George to anybody who is looking for a roof replacement. He understood my requirements AND budget and come up with a solution that worked for me. The scope of my job was remove two layers of roofing, replace rotted plywood and install new shingles, rebuild a failed chimney, roof vent, and hood vent.

Sullivan contracting was very responsive, they always got back to me if I called with a question or request. I needed to have all the shingles, and some of the plywood removed and replaced, some chimney flashing repaired and a vent hood removed. I was offered a selection of materials and several warranty options, so I was able to fit the cost into my budget. Because I had a leaky roof They made sure to put a tarp on my roof until they were able to do the job; which was only a week after I committed to give them the job.

Initial work completed needed some touch up warranty work. The original person I dealt with did not respond. Upon talking with owner recently, learned that the message was not getting to him. He immediately came out, assessed what needed to be done, and within a few days things were taken care of. I feel his reputation was important to him and went above and beyond to make me happy.

Working with George, the principal, was a true pleasure. He went out of his way to (professionally) engage, to effectively communicate, and deliver on that which their appraiser said would take place. The crew was extremely (extremely) efficient - they were clean and thorough and quick. I highly recommend George and his team.

Any questions or concerns were addressed very quickly and everyone was professional and pleasant to work with!

the didnt use materials quoted. 30 days after schedule date. left materials and debris after work. they did not paint gutters. broke a gate lock. knocked a skimmer off pool lost 3/4 of water supposed to replace shingle, paint on screens

I hired them in May. They replaced the roof in June. Over a month and a half later and we were STILL having issues with this company. They left a half pallet of shingles in my driveway, tore a window screen, did not install the gutter diverters as promised, did not give us the photos of the job in progress as promised and the horrible looking white soffit vents they installed started to fall out almost immediately (the house is brown and so the white vents stand out and look cheap, but even if they had been brown, having them fall out is inexcusable.) We got several song and dances from Jake, the guys who wrote our contract, but no action, so I then contacted the owner, George, directly, who assured me that they would right all the wrongs and that I was his top priority. Three weeks later still NOTHING had been done other than to tell me that they are coming on a certain day, but then claim some issue, but they will come next week, but then something else came up... The last story was that their "truck is in the shop and until it is fixed, they can not come out and have no idea when it will be fixed. Seriously? RENT A UHAUL. I paid these clowns $16,000 and this is how we are treated? One time I called George and left a voicemail, I specifically said I wanted to talk to him and do not have Jake call me and so who calls with the latest excuse? Jake! Lord only knows when they will finally show up and fix things. I should have known from Day 1 when the dumpster was delivered and parked in front of my garage, blocking me in, that things were not going to go well. Oh and the great cleanup job they were supposed to do left over two dozen nails in my driveway. My patience was shot and while the roof itself seemed to be OK, all the rest had me seeing red. Jake talks a great sales pitch (and the man rambles on and on) but what we got vs what was promised are two very different things. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone. My husband spoke to the town building inspector and was informed that no building permit had taken out nor was the required inspection done prior to laying the shingles. When we spoke to the representative Jake about this he claimed that the lack of a building permit was merely an oversight and that the inspection is never done during actual work but that supposedly he has photographs that will show he did things to code. We then contacted a lawyer and were pursuing the possibility of suing them. They have been very rude to us on the phone, occasionally using foul language. We find them to be highly unprofessional as a result. In August, things finally started to improve. Brown soffits were installed (using an adhesive so they wouldn't fall out this time), they applied for a building permit (in arrears), took away the pallet of shingles left behind in my driveway and installed the diverters. Work was finally done on August 3. The inspector checked their work two days later and we passed inspection. Sullivan has promised to pay for the screen repair and I am also waiting for a signed transferable warranty as the one they gave me originally wasn't signed. I am hoping that all of that goes smoothly and we never have to deal with them again. George has asked me to remove my review. Sorry, George, after all of the aggravation, not happening. The nail in the coffin was not getting the permit and being told that the inspection was never done during the work. When I hire a contractor, I expect them to START with a permit, work with me to complete the work in a timely manner and do a professional job. I do not feel that's what we got at all. Did I mention that when the diverters were installed, the first thing the sub-contractor said was & Gee, why didn't they just remove those end pieces and just run the gutters all the way across? That's what I would have done. That's exactly what we asked for in the first place!

We have a 3 story 120 years old Victorian that needed repairs to some architectural details, clapboards and shingles as well as a complete color(s) change. The paint crew did it all. No delays waiting for a carpenter. They removed downspouts, electrical fixtures and misc hardware which was all put back at the end. They scraped, sanded and caulked. This is hard work when down right, and we could not be happier with the results. They knew exactly what to do, when to do it and how to do it. They were all hard workers and just a great team. And all done with a single coat of coverage. We highly recommend them.

On May 1, 2019, Sullivan Construction replaced a roof for me. My wife and I were both pleased and impressed that they were able to arrange to do the work within a week of my initial call. We were even more impressed that they were able to tear off two previous layers of asphalt shingles, replace 10 plywood sections, and install the new roof in a single day. The installation team was wonderful, and worked tirelessly throughout the day. We couldnt be more pleased with the roof!

Wonderful job done by a great crew! Priced out five or six contractors before going with Sullivan Contracting and they're a trustworthy group. Especially grateful to Jake for his communication throughout. The only reason I can't go 5* is because a delivery truck for the roofing materials damaged our lawn. Hoping this can be fixed so I can update to 5* â but they were otherwise careful, courteous, and clean.

They were to do a roof repair around the chimney and other issue with the roof. They completed the job last week and now leaking worse than ever. They are calling me constantly to be paid and I don't want them back out to my home. Feel they didn't complete the job.
