Jay and his team made my living room and foyer/stairway look magnificent. They offered good suggestions and guided me through the design decisions. I was just going to refinish oak floors that had not been done in over 40? years--well before we moved into the home. And then I was going to paint afterwards. They suggested doing the floors and painting at the same time so they could stage and coordinate the work. It was the perfect choice. They were professional and the workmanship was outstanding. There is no way to completely eliminate dust when you sand an old wood floor--they sealed and cleaned, but I still had to remove a layer from some surfaces after the work was completed--I believe the nature of the beast. I would hire again and likely will.

Jay and his crew did a very good job. My floor never looked so good and the color exactly what I expected. Perhaps there is a better sanding equipment out there that keeps dust down, but they did what they could to control it. Their price was HALF of what Cedar quoted. We actually paid them a bit more than they asked since they were not going to charge for moving furniture. Thanks Jay and thanks Home Advisor!

The work was done as promised, and they even touched up the painted baseboards where stain had colored the paint in places. They made great efforts to contain their dust which were mostly successful and which exceeded my expectations. I've done a bunch of floor refinishing work over our 30 years of remodeling and used this company because of their initial prompt call back, while some other people took several days to make their initial contact. Jay Gunderson is a hard working and knowledgeable floor guy who has excellent guys working for him. I was quite satisfied with the total package delivered, and would use them again if the circumstances were similar.

Jay and his team did an amazing job! Their service was timely and of the highest quality. His team completed the job over the holiday weekend and 2 days ahead of when we originally thought it was going to be done. Every aspect of the job discussed with Jay at our initial meeting was carried out. He was even kind enough to put an extra coat of finish on the floors right in front of me at no additional cost. And most importantly, it fell well within our budget. Very happy with our selection of Gunderson Flooring and Design!
