The design was excellant. Working with the designer, Gale was perfect. She made excellant suggestions. We were very pleased with the products used and suggested. The carpenter was outstanding as were the sub contractors. The cabinets were custom made. The tile on the floor is a bit uneven but can't be repaired due to the tile going under the cabinets. Overall, we are very pleased. Three years later and I have six cracked porcelain tile on the kitchen floor. The tile sub-contractor did not leave any extra tile and the replacement tiles ordered by Ducci Kitchens are lighter in color than the originals. I do not think that a well laid floor should have tiles cracking within three years of installation. The original floor, before the remodeling, was also tile and did not have a single cracked tile. The floor was the single element of the remodeling job that I was not happy with. I was informed by Charles, the co-owner, that the floor job is "not guaranteed".

A horrendous experience. We went to this company because they had done the original kitchen for the previous homeowners, and we wanted to match the custom cabinets already in place. $25,000+ was far more than we had intended to spend on a minor expansion (not a total remodel); but we had done a kitchen remodel at our last home without a project manager or designer, and it was not a good experience. The afternoon before work on our job started, Ducci fired the designer/project-manager and we were basically left to fend for ourselves through the entire project. The cabinet company delivered the new cabinets and no one from Ducci was there to unload the truck; they finally arrived as we were taking the last cabinet off. The carpenter had old plans that were a couple months old. The cabinets got installed but the layout was different from the design we had finalized. Also when we went to install the oven it would not slide all the way into the custom cabinet - the opening was too shallow. We waited almost 2 weeks for anything else to happen. The house was a complete dust bowl from the cabinet install, so I cleaned it. The stone countertop was finally delivered but extra cutting had to be done inside the house instead of outside, creating an even bigger dust bowl than the first one. The countertop guys had no plans showing the exact placement of the top, and no one from Ducci was there to oversee the project, so they just left it loose on top of the base cabinets. This prevented us from being able to install the cooktop. Another 5 days went by with no sign of Ducci. The wood countertop was finally delivered but looked nothing like what we had ordered. I was asked to sign off on it but refused, and it was sent back to the factory to be refinished. This took 23 days during which no other work took place. Meanwhile we still had no cooking appliances. When the countertop came back I asked Ducci to install the last remaining cabinet which housed the microwave. Because this cabinet ended up in a different place than on the original plan, it had to be cut down significantly, creating yet a third huge dust bowl inside the house which had to be cleaned up. After installation we realized somehow the countertop was higher than it had been, and the stone molding above it no longer fit. I haven't even mentioned an absolute fiasco with the purchase and delivery of a refrigerator from Ducci, and the worker's truck driving through a flower garden. We are sick that we spent so much and still had a horrible experience. Management is clueless and never once apologized for how the job went. If you want to spend a fortune on an unsupervised job that takes 5 times longer than it should and is full of mistakes, Ducci is your company.

Laurie was the only one of the three designers we talked to who did not insist that we had to expand by moving an outside wall. This was probably one of the smallest kitchens she has done. She worked with the existing house. The kitchen is beautiful!! And it works!!! There is enough space all around for people to move and work. We love it.
