Description of Work: Tim removed french doors and a significant part of a wall between our living room and TV room to open up the space. He also created a 9 foot wide archway in the opening.

Description of Work: Contacted for a quote. Contractor ahowed up in a timely manner but did not provide an estimate. I did not follow up with the contractor for his estimate. Contractor was professional and knowledgebale when discussing the job. I would call him again.

+ -1 moreTML Custom Carpentry visted and walked our site with us, listening to our description of what we we interested in accomplishing and provided excellent suggestions for improvement or cost savings. And the quote was right where we expected. Excellent, competent and experienced contractor. We are about to contact TML Custom Carpentry again for different project we would like to accomplish before the original one quoted.
Description of Work: TML Custom Carpentry provided a terrific quote for a job we did not start. However, we are interested in getting another quote for a different job that is more urgent. I would recomment TML Custom carpentry to freinds, neighbors and associates.

Description of Work: TML repaired an existing deck that needed new stairs, new railing and balusters plus 2 new concrete piers. A second deck was taken down and replaced with a new deck.

+ 3 moreFirst, Tim's an artist at drywall and carpentry, a craftsman who takes pride in his work. Our new arched opening looks like it's always been there and matches an original arch in an adjacent nook. Second, he's punctual and cleans up thoroughly each day. Third, he's cheerful and accommodating, responds to phone calls quickly. He has our highest recommendation.
Description of Work: Tim Looby's remodeling of our 1929 house involved two projects: (1) Knocking down a wall between living room and family room and creating an arched opening. (2) Replacing the vanity in a guest bath. Both projects held surprises: We thought the lving room wall was not a bearing wall, but Tim built a temporary wall to be safe, and sure enough, when the plaster came down, he saw we'd need a laminate beam for support. He'd anticipated this possibility, had the material on his truck, and fabrciated and installed the beam in a day. The next surprise was that after seeing the new opening, we decided arched corners would look better than square, and he executed these beautifully with drywall. In the bathroom, he had to re-route the baseboard heating pipes, tucking them into the wall, to allow the new vanity to sit where we wanted it.
