Description of Work: Dennis and Camille Parker have disconnected their phone and have no forwarding address. I have submitted a report before that does not appear on Angie's List. Why is this? Looks like they have taken money from other people as well. They owe us money for a project that was never completed. Never even started.

We paid them up front for the job, and they have not done anything yet. We have called them and emailed them on a regular basis and we never hear back from them other than text messages. These messages state that they are on vacation. We even mailed a letter to them asking for our money back or the job to be done. We never heard anything back. This is not a company that you should deal with, I would advise that you stay away from them.
Description of Work: They came and did a consultation for ceramic tile work in our bathroom.

As noted above, the winter project went well and we were pleased with the results. But after having built up our trust, Dennis and Camille have taken $17,000 of our money for kitchen work and not delivered anything whatsoever. In May, we paid $5,000 for the granite. In June, we paid $12,000 for the appliances and the carpeting. It is now August 8. After cashing the second check, Dennis and Camille went silent. We called them repeatedly and they finally agreed to come to our house last Tuesday to discuss the project - but they never showed up. We called them repeatedly again, with no answer. Finally, on Wednesday afternoon, Dennis called to say that he and Camille were both in Germany because Dennis's parents had been in an accident. Not believing their story, we did the research on them that we should have done before we ever hired them. We found another very recent complaint and "F" rating on Angie's List, citing a story very similar to ours. We found out that the office address is just the UPS Store, and they do not live at their purported home address. They are not registered with either the Secretary of State or the Department of Revenue Services in Connecticut. At this point, I just want my money back. I do not know if there was a resolution with the other complaining party on Angie's List, but perhaps our two complaints can be combined. I can't help but wonder if Dennis and Camille had to take our money in order to pay that other person.
Description of Work: They performed a redecorating service for us last winter, which went fine. We then proceeded with a kitchen project, but they have not performed the services contracted for. See below for details.

It's not over. I hope to get SOME money back or my furniture, or if not, I will proceed with my attorney.
Description of Work: Well, the services weren't performed and that is the problem. I want to file an official complaint with Angie's List. I will also take legal action if I have to. I signed a contract with this designer on 4/8 and now it's 7/7 and they still have not delivered the furniture they promised to order for me. We went through the motions of choosing paint and furniture to redecorate several rooms. We hired a contractor to remodel the bathroom. The contractor did his part to a point - the vanity and other bathroom items were supposedly ordered but never delivered and I've had to order all the bathroom items again ( and pay AGAIN) myself in order to finish this project. I've paid them $6700 and all I've got to show for it are new bath tiles. They claim they ordered everything, but I called all the stores and online vendors and no orders were placed. I've asked for renumeration or my furniture delivered in a written notice to them with 2 weeks to rectify the situation (according to their contract), and i get more reassurances that they've done their part. Of course this is after weeks of not returning emails, texts and phone msgs which they claim never to have received, but when I launch a formal letter, then suddenly they get my messages. DO NOT USE this designer! Warning to all!
