+ -1 moreAfter storm damage left a tree on our house, Green Acres was recommended to me by one of the many linemen working in town. I spoke with the owner on a Friday and he was polite, assured me it would be taken care of before the weekend was complete, and quoted a base price that would require no money up front as he would work with my insurance company. When I asked about his equipment and crew, he indicated he had a small truck for this sort of job and works with a crew as small as 3 to as large as 7. He did not show during the weekend and called Sunday evening to reacquaint himself with my address and the job itself. He scheduled work for sometime the next day and assured us that no one needed to be home. He arrived early on Monday. Alone. After removing the tree (which was done quickly and efficiently) he demanded immediate payment via check and was rude to my wife in his request. Was the service rendered well done and at a reasonable price? Yes. Were there extenuating circumstances given the vast storm damage in the local area? Certainly.
Description of Work: Removal of tree from roof of home. No roof penetration by tree, no power lines involved. Back yard requiring some navigation of truck around garage, pool etc. Tree itself fallen at an angle that required a bucket or lift so as not to create new damage or endanger the person with the saw.
