Damaged molding and tried to put it back up without saying it was damaged. Bending the radiators and not fixing them back in place. Cracked the wainscoating and did not say anything. Workers the next day did not communicate with each other, causing one section of our floor not being tinted/stained before the poly. Now the floors are slightly off. Poly drips not blended on stairs. Crack in one small piece of wood that separates rooms, it was small enough that you would think they would of cut a new piece. Large knotted holes in some of the wood, with some you could see the sub floor. Had to point those out to the contractor so they could putty.

Not well. We went away while the work was being done, so I was not able to monitor the work. I thought the finish looked okay when completed, but realized a few weeks later that it didn't look like they had applied the correct amount of coats. I had had the other areas of the home refinished about six months prior by another company. The other floors in the house look fine 6 years later, but as I had suspected the areas done by Glastonbury Hardwood Floors, have not held up, and have a bare appearance. Basically I am going to have to have that area of house refinished again.
Description of Work: Installed and finished hardwood floors in my kitchen, eating area and back hall.

The work was performed quickly, and on budget. The price was fair. The sanding was fairly rough, they should have finished with a finer grit to remove the roughness of the floor. They then applied several coats of water-based finish. Where the pine floor that they worked on met up with another part of the floor made of cherry and nicely finished, their sander left gouges and bare areas on previously finished hardwood floor.where the two areas meet. After I complained, he did offer to clean this up, but based upon what I have seen, I will probably have to go back over it myself. All in all, they did a decent job, but it does not have the craftsmanlike look of the rest of the floor that another firm did earlier this year as part of the renovation. They should charge a little more if they need to, and take a little more time and really do it right.
Description of Work: I hired them to refinish the original wood floor in my house after a renovation.
