John and Ray did an excellent job on our hardwood floors! They added to our existing hardwood floors, sanded everything, stained and finished the floors and they came out looking great. They were very patient with all of our questions and showed great attention to detail to make sure everything was done right. It was a pleasure having them work in our home!

Reliable, great workmanship, either John or Charlotte quickly responded to any questions. Great cleanup. Took what could have been a totally disruptive job, and made my floors beautiful again. Put felts on on furniture legs. His helper, Ray , reliable ,tireless and took pride in his work. Even brought 2nd pair of clean shoes so as not to mar newly finished floor. Price was very fair

John and Ray removed the old finish with virtually no dust or mess. They were extremely punctual and refinished the floors better than when we built the house 30 years ago. Having been in the construction industry for nearly 50 years and seen all levels of finish, John is a true craftsman and as good as they come. John is the real deal.

John and Charlotte were very kind and responsive throughout the refinishing process and our floors look great! John even custom made replacement flooring for our living room. I would definitely recommend them for any hardwood flooring project

Awesome job. John is very good at his craft, knowledgeable, and detailed. John also handled some floor repair I needed, cant even tell there was an issue. He and Ray showed up on on time each day, did what they said they were going to do, and did the job they said they would. They prepped properly, cleaned up properly, left no scuffs. Price was more than reasonable. I am very pleased.

John and his helper were excellent, I could not ask for more from a contractor. On time, polite, took care of my house, listened, and a true craftsman. I also thought his price was fair. You cannot go wrong with John and crew.

John and his assistant do an excellent job. They have done numerous floor refinishings and new installations for me over 20 years. He also has removed an antique staircase for me and replaced it better than original. I highly recommend John !!

John is the real deal in every way. He has more skill, know how, attention to detail, follow through and personality than one can afford, and yet you get all of that for a reasonable amount. I grew up restoring woodwork and John is the kind of professional you just leave alone, because he has it all handled. Great man, great work, and Jay who works with him is a top notch guy as well.

I have used John Robbins before and only use him for doing my floors, he checks all the boxes that are important to me!

John and his team cut, laid, and refinished 2000 sq ft of douglas fir that was reclaimed from a hay barn in western CT in our 1755 colonial. All of the main level floors look amazing and like they should have for the past 100 years. They did a great job, paid attention to the smallest details, were timely and communicated effectively, and all at a great price!
