We just had our fireplace insert cleaned by Zack. He was polite and professional. He took time to answer all my questions regarding the fireplace insert. He did point out a crack in the chimney and suggested that should be fixed soon, but he was not pushy about it - which is appreciated. I will definitely stick with this company for my future yearly chimney cleanings and repairs - Thank you!

The guys from Dublin are terrific -- showed up for the original inspection of both chimneys and took pictures then took the time to explain everything to me. Came back to do the work after the custom caps came in. They arrived on time and went right to work accomplishing everything in one day. They paid attention to the details and even did small extras like clean the bricks on the outside of the fireplace and explain the detailed operation of my woodstove to me. I couldn't be happier and will always call for Zack and Ryan when I need chimney work! Zack gets bonus points for removing the wasp's nest that was growing next to on of the chimneys.

It went very well. I called them to fix and clean my fireplace chimney fix it because it leaked every time it rained. While they were up on the roof I asked them to inspect my furnace chimney and they found a serious problem with the furnace chimney. They fixed the furnace chimney right away by putting in a metal liner in and putting a cap on the top. Then on my schedule they cleaned and rebuilt the top of my fireplace chimney. I was very happy with the work and the concern they showed for my family's health. I appreciated the when they helped point me to other reliable professionals to help with furnace issues. The reason why I waited so long to write the review, I wanted to make sure my fireplace no longer got wet when it rained. It has been dry! That makes me very happy.

We purchased a pellet stove to lower our monthly oil bill that was strangling the life out of us. They were recommended to us by the company where we purchased the stove. Once we got home we called them to get a quote and within 15 minutes they were at our door and listen to what we desired from the stove. He gave us the quote and scheduled the install for later that week. They installed it and even took the time to show us how to clean the stove and what maintenace would need to be conducted and when. We were so pleased by the work that we would recommended them to anyone intrested in purchasing a stove and needing someone to install it.

It went great. They even re-installed the wood stove. Very happy with them.

Existing galvanized chimneys were failing risking exposing members to Carbon Monoxide gas and the possibility of a chimney fire. They quickly assessed the situation and recommended a solution replacing the improperly installed galvanized chimneys with 3-16 stainless steel units.

His estimate was detailed and his cleaning of the chimney went far beyond previous chimney sweeps. He took time to answer questions and was very knowledgeable. We've been using the services of John Mahoney and his experienced crew from Dublin City Chimney Sweeps for a number of years now. We have them inspect and clean our chimney flues every year. In 2009 we were ready to replace one of our old wood stoves with a newer, more efficient model and wanted to address the creosote buildup that was occuring each year in our flue at the same time. Dublin City Chimney Sweeps were recommended by the woodstove dealer that we purchased our stove from and we're truly glad that we were introduced to them at this point. John came to our home promptly and performed a thorough inspection of our chimney and flue system. He recommended that we line the one flue that we were using daily to limit the creosote buildup potential. He measured for a new custom made oval stainless steel chimney liner, provided a quote and scheduled a install date. John and his crew, Zack and Ryan, arrived, cleaned the flues thoroughly, installed and insulated the liner, installed a new stainless flue cover as well as repaired the cement apron around the cap. All performed according to the manufacturers installation instructions and warranty conditions. They then proceeded to install our new woodstove and completed it very efficiently. They performed a very professional job, cleanly done and the performance of the woodstove and newly lined flue have been excellent. We've had them inspect and clean the flues each year and in June 2012, decided we wanted to line the second flue for the basement stove which was use infrequently but before we had our roof replaced. John and crew came, performed a full inspection again and provided a quote for the new second liner for our second woodstove. The install went just as smooth as the first one and we're very happy with the results. I'd recommend John and his crew without reservation. Nice guys, reasonable price and excellent results.

The worker arrived exactly on time, completed the job in about 2 hours and fully cleaned up afterward. Overall I was very satisfied and would highly recommend this company.

Called yesterday because smoke has been back drafting into my home when lighting fire in wood stove. They told me that someone would be out the next day and they were here as promised. Tech (Ryan) was very professional and diagnosed the stove pipe should be cleaned. Ryan accomplished task in approximately 90 minutes. He even went the little bit extra by securing pipe sections with new stainless steel screws. Everything was clean or cleaner than when Ryan left. Ryan also appreciated my dog, Daisy.

The whole experience was great! Jack, Ryan & Zach were on time, professional, as fast as possible, and they cleaned up after themselves! An absolute pleasure to work with. Would highly recommend!

The Dublin Chimney Sweeps were prompt in returning my initial call. They explained clearly the price of work that could be done, but noted that just an inspection would not be charged. I was told that in case of rain they would reschedule. It did and they did, promptly setting up another appointment. Because the rain had put them behind and due to unanticipated problems with appointments prior to ours, the men were several hours late. They called several times to apprise me of their progress; they couldn't have been more thoughtful. The two men who came were courteous and efficient. Lots of black stuff in the wood stove chimney; not a speck on the carpet, and they vacuumed the wood stove to perfection. They suggested chimney caps and gave us a written price on them good for future use if we want to go with caps. Flashing around the chimneys was inspected; some that was loose was tightened up. They made recommendations for future care of the oil burner chimney and suggested annual cleaning for the wood stove. There was no pressure in their recommendations. Best $150 I've spent in a while. I have no hesitation to giving the Dublin Sweeps my highest recommendation.

It is always a pleasure when Dublin City chimney sweeps provides service. Their professionalism & experience are unparalleled. They are the best!

I initially called Dublin City Chimney Sweeps to clean the chimney, get a quote on a chimney cap, and check on whether we had a deceased critter in our chimney that was bringing us a horrific house fly invasion. They responded immediately, coming out the next morning. Ryan, who came out to do the service, discovered that we did, indeed, have a group of four squirrels that had found their way down the chimney some time ago and unfortunately weren't able to work their way back out. It was a sad sight, but he took it in stride and thoroughly cleaned the chimney. The quote on the chimney cap was all the more critical now that we knew the chimney was easily accessible to squirrels. In the process of figuring out the cap and the cleaning, Ryan also noticed that the liner running up the chimney from the oil burner didn't look up to code. It was put together with mismatched parts and was unattached in places. The assembly and materials were so poorly implemented that more burner gases were escaping around the liner than were going through it. Rainwater in the chimney was combining with the escaping gases from the burner and creating an acidic mix that ate through a good amount of the clay lining at the bottom of the burner side of the chimney. Debris from the blowback were also building up in the burner and clogging the vent area. We're fortunate Ryan had the close look he did because it was a potentially dangerous situation that could have allowed CO gas to enter the house. The shoddy liner and installation was clearly the work of a scam perpetrated on the previous owner of the house. Dublin City gave us a good price on a new liner, cleaned both sides of the chimney, installed a full cap on the chimney, and added a cement crown to the chimney as well. The crew was very professional and courteous throughout the whole process. I especially appreciated how everyone involved worked completely transparently, showing me the work at every step and explaining the methods involved in the replacement of the liner. The job was completed promptly and at the quoted price, even after it was discovered the cap needed customization, and that our chimney wasn't squared so there was significantly more time involved in the cap installation because of it. Best of all, they were very accommodating to our requests regarding not bringing foods to the site that might contain peanuts, on the off-chance that our youngest daughter with a severe peanut allergy might accidently contact some of it.

The estimate was spot-on with no extra or hidden cost. They came when they said they would, did the work, and showed me step by step what and why they were doing the things. There wasno mess after they left. I will have them back in the spring to repair the outside bricks.

They arrived on time for all appointments. The did their work quickly and were very neat all through the process, vacuuming up all the mess that comes from a chimney and patching where they needed to cut with love. They are all very personable and enjoy their work. I understand the needs of my boiler much better now.
