Greg was early, very friendly & professional. Service was reasonably priced. Went over work and made recommendations based on his evaluation from the inspection. Cleaned up everything before he left.

Jack and his team are top notch all the way. From the first call to inquire about the project, Jack was in the area and came over in about 15 minutes, fully explained the job and we set the date. He and his team were on time and did a great job on the install and left the work area cleaner than it was when they got there. A few weeks later there was a problem with how the stove was functioning and the place where I brought it from weren't much help in covering the warranty repair but Dublin was right on it. Jack even recommended a friend to do the tile work I needed as well and he proved to be a great resource who did a great job as well. There is a reason they come up first on the listings here. A+++ all the way, couldn't be happier with the service!

Well the first time we had an appointment we had an appointment at 8 am by 10:30 no sign of them finally called and the owner said he didn't know why they didn't show up and that he would call back to reschedule finally called at 8:45 pm and scheduled it for the 11th at 9:30. This time they showed cleaned the furnace chimney but in doing so and unknowing to me shut the oil supplyvalve off to the furnace and didn't turn it back on. So he got paid left 30 minutes later I heard the furnace come on and die instantly so i have to call my oil company have them charge me for an emergency service only to have them find out that the oil supply valve was shut off i have left these people several messages and no call back i would not recommend them to anyone.

My oil man, Peerless furnace rep and several chimney sweeps came to my home with various solutions and did extensive research on line re: condensation/soot staining our chimney and roof shingles. I got various answers none of which I thought would solve the problem. Finally I called DUBLIN's owner "Jack" and explained my problem of soot staining my exterior chimney and new roof shingles. Jack visited my home and spend a lot of time to find the problem. We decided to replace liner that was installed 7 years ago. Greg, Jack, Brett found that the exiting liner was not installed properly and the TEE was not installed in the interior of chinmey therefore soot was escaping to the exterior. Excellent teamwork, excellent job.

I am very impressed with Dublin City. They went out of their way to solve an ongoing problem with our chimney. The installation of a custom steel liner, which involved extensive demolition and rebuilding of the chimney, was done quickly and cleanly. The job site was cleaner when they left than when they arrived! Even though the job required extra work which was not anticipated when quoted they were adamant about keeping to the original quote....despite my insistence that they should be compensated for the extra work. I wish all contractors acted with this degree of integrity and professionalism.

They did a great job. They went out of their way to take extra effort, time and materials and did not charge anything extra. We were very pleased with them.

The owner returned my call very quickly and set a date for the work. Greg who is a certified chimney sweep arrived on time and had the work finished in less than 1 hr. We have a white living room carpet and he was very careful and did not get 1 spot on the rug. He was very professional, made some recommendations but there was no pressure. We had an Angie's discount certificate and it was applied to the cost. The cost was exactly what was posted on Angie's list.

They were here on time, got to work immediately and were finished before I knew it. They found a few small issues that were not covered in the contract, but took care of them for me. I will happily recommend them!!

The technician was very professional. He clearly was very knowledgable and explained what needed to be done, what didn't and his findings upon inspecting he chimney and flues. He took his time, enough time, to make sure he did the job right and answered all of my questions. I have used other companies before and definitely would use Dublin City again. As a matter of fact, I am looking to install a wood stove insert and plan to use them for the installation of it - that's how impressed I was. I work for a company that truly values customer service (JD Power award winner many times over) and my experience with Dublin City was worthy of a JD Power customer satisfaction award.

Very well, Jack came out within a half hour of me making the initial call since he was in the area. We discussed the project and he and his team were there on time when we went to do the work, very professional , very thorough and left the place cleaner than it was when they got there, top notch all the way. Offered to come back to make any adjustments needed since I didn't have time to put the hearth floor before the stove installation, which I probably should have thought of but didn't. I would recumbent them without hesitation for any fireplace, chimney needs! Thanks!!

We have a wood stove in our house that did not work when we moved in. Getting it checked out has been on my list for a while. Luckily, there was nothing wrong with it; it just needed to be cleaned out properly. I got a call back the day after I messaged them, and service that same day! They were thorough, personable and professional. I received a much-needed tutorial on wood stoves when the cleaning was done. I was very impressed with their service.

They responded to my initial phone call and were on sight for an estimate within a few days. Zach arrived the very next day to do the work. He was very personable and professional in explaining the scope of the job, he even took some rooftop photos. The work was completed in less than an hour. I could have opted for a much cheaper product, but that would not have afforded the level of protection that this company provides. This is a premium product at a reasonable price.

Zach T. from Dublin City gave us an earlier estimate and came to do the required mortar joint repairs on June 16. He was very friendly and polite. Upon close examination of the upper chimney, the mortar damage was deeper and more extensive than expected. We could see in advance that mortar had fallen out over the winter, but much of the upper remaining mortar was sand-like and not functional. Zach was very professional and knowledgeable and explained the situation to us. Water had been seeping in from above thru cement/crown cracks, freezing, and pushing out the mortar joints. He spent hours grinding out (a very dusty process!) all the upper chimney joints and repointing them, which took ~100 pounds of mortar, also a long process. He then re-did the concrete chimney crown. The repairs took the whole day, longer that expected. Why longer than expected??? BECAUSE HE DID THE JOB RIGHT!!! That is my whole point. Others (not Dublin City) have come in previous years to do re-pointing jobs, but he was the first to use a grinder. As I previous stated, the mason gets covered in dust from head to toe many times, needing to stop and clean the face shield to be able to see, not a fun job. Zach did a complete and professional job, the way he would have done it on his own chimney, no skimping. He could have done the quick "half-a**" job of just filling in the missing mortar and not grinding out and replacing all the weak sandy areas. It would look fine from the ground, but we would be back d*** repairs again in another year or two. Zach T. had a smile on his face when he came and still there when he finished. This is the company you want to work on your chimney!

We had a pretty hefty water leak around our chimney and called Dublin to have them take a look. They were prompt in getting back to us to schedule a visit. Zack was professional and knowledgeable and gave us different options for addressing the issues. We decided to replace the flashing and it was complete less than 48 hours later. It rained all week and not a drop of water is visible inside the attic. We couldn't be more pleased with the service and quality of work. We will definitely be calling again!

I am very satisfied with the product and installers i will have them back to install my pellet stove they gave me very good advice with the new furnace I had to get installed

Dublin City Chimney Sweeps service was excellent! We actually called to have two things serviced one a natural gas fireplace unit in Norwich and a pellet stove in Lyme. Zack Mahoney arrived on time to our rental property in Norwich to clean our natural gas fireplace unit and chimney. When he arrived Zack realized there must have been a miscommunication because he said they didn?t actually service gas fireplaces. Zack checked out our chimney which he said look clean. There was no charge for Norwich. Zack then came to our home in Lyme to clean and inspect our pellet stove. Zack took the stove apart and cleaned it thoroughly. He dismantled the chimney piping and cleaned that, too. He also inspected the fittings and the gears. Zack found a build-up of a thick, gunky material in the burn pot which he took outside to work on as it took more that usually effort to clean. He thought the build-up might have been from a bad batch of pellets. Zack left our home and the area about the stove very clean. When he arrived he put down a cloth runner so he wouldn?t bring dirt and snow into our home. They could have charged us for going to our property in Norwich but they didn?t. A day or so after the service we called Dublin City Chimney because we thought an exhaust pipe might have been crooked. Zack was not feeling well, so John Mahoney came to our house within a day of our call to double-check the pipe we were concerned about. John said he didn't want us to worry and didn?t want to delay the call while waiting for Zack to start feeling better. After looking it over the stove?s pipes and testing for gas (there was none) John said the pipes were safe and ok the way they were installed. Dublin City Chimney Sweeps were professional, personable and they definitely have their customer as their primary focus.

Outstanding, professional level of work and service performed starting right from the initial phone call through the first appointment to provide an estimate. I had the same experience all the way through to the installation of the wood stove and the related chimney components. Owner (Jack) and his team were very prompt and took the time to discuss the approaches that could be undertaken whether it was on the phone or when we met in person. Jack worked with my schedule in setting up an inspection meeting so an estimate could be provided. Ryan met with me for the inspection and estimate. Ryan was prompt and very knowledgeable. He took the time to discuss not only the requirements but also different types of installations, answered all of my questions and summarized in general how the work would go. I felt very confident that that Dublin City Chimney Sweeps knew what they were doing when Ryan left. The parts were ordered and then, when it was time to install and perform the work, my experience was even better. Zach and Ryan both came to install everything. Jack the owner also came by while the work was underway. The attention to detail and the overall service/work provided by Jack and his team was a great surprise. Ryan and Zach are very knowledgeable, polite hard working professionals. The work to install my chimney cap and the related repair to the chimney crown was done perfectly, they way I would do it. I say that as I would typically do all of this work myself because many times it's difficult to find reliable / timely pros that do it right. In this case I found that Dublin City Chimney's does it right! Jack, Zach and Ryan did a nice job.

It was quick, efficient, and friendly!! Had a few tips regarding our chimney cap, insulation around the insert, and commented on a feature of our stove that we didn't know was there. Didn't try to sell us anything just made us aware of things to keep in mind for the future. Told us that the cap was installed a little low so the draft wasn't as good as it could be. He laid a sheet on the floor to catch the soot and even cleaned out our wood stove. He was in and out in just over an hour - we talked about our dogs and he seemed to like my two, which is always a plus so it probably would have been less time if we had not chatted.

Perfect - from the initial call to the completed service just two days later. At my request they even inspected our other fireplace chimney and reported that it did not need cleaned this year. Very consciencious, capable and honest - doesn't get any better than that!

Tech was prompt and was done in about 1/2 hour. We had used them several years ago.

We scheduled an 8:am Appointment they failed to show, I called the office at 8:30 to get a voice message. At 9:am i was called and was told they had forgotten. They then arrived 30 minutes later without a ladder but suggested a repair and installation of a special order cap claiming my chimney was an irregular size. I left for work as I was now terribly late and a proposal was left at my door, $650.+ Tax. A neighbor recommended. another company who arrived on time for the estimate and was 1/2 the price. The job has been scheduled for latter this month with the other company who never claimed the cap needed to be special ordered.

Estimation Estimation of the job took about an hour, during which any questions I had were answered and additional information was volunteered. No attempt was made to pressure me into contracting with them, just a simple listing of costs (each of the items in the above list was given its own separate cost) and recommendations on which items were most time-sensitive and which could probably be delayed if needed. Work Performance Work was completed in one day. A work crew of three arrived mid-morning and worked until dark to make sure everything was completed. Much as during the estimation process, the crew provided a large amount of information on how to ensure the chimney and the new stove were used correctly. During the work, one of the pieces of the liner was damaged, and rather than try to use it or postpone the work, they went out and purchased a replacement piece so that the job could be finished on time; there was no additional charge for this piece. The crown repair and cap installation were done using concrete, and they made sure to smooth and square it to be aesthetically pleasing. They cleaned up the work site and left it as clean as when they started. They also explained how to break the stove in properly, gave me permitting documents to be submitted to my town hall, and provided me a warranty card for my chimney liner, already filled out and ready to send. I have used the insert since the day of the work, and it has performed well. There is no trouble starting and maintaining a draft, no smoke has come into the house, and the electric blowers built into the insert work correctly. Overall I was very impressed with the work performed by Dublin City Chimney Sweeps. Everything from estimation to installation was low-pressure and well-performed. It's clear from watching them work that they are very knowledgeable about chimneys and fireplaces, and they know the code and manufacturer's instructions well. They may be a tad more expensive than other outfits, but it's worth it for the quality of work.
