About us

Mark J. DeFilippo, sole owner of MJD Builders, LLC, has been involved in the building industry for over 20 years. He graduated from Northeastern University in Boston with a degree in marketing, and eventually left his field of study to pursue a career in the building industry. By taking part in his family’s construction business and working with contractors in all the various trades, Mark was able to learn the business from the ground up. Initially, Mark’s business consisted of remodeling and renovation work. In 1998, he started building single-family homes ranging from $300,000 to $1.5 million in Farmington Valley, other areas of Central Connecticut, and Fairfield County. Mark has been consistently successful in finishing projects both on schedule and within budget. He has the flexibility to be customer oriented by making sure all requests are met to the utmost satisfaction. Mark is very meticulous about his work Mark currently resides in Farmington with his wife and two son's. He is a member of the Farmington Chamber of Commerce.
