The job was done in the timeframe agreed upon on the contract (which was 1 week). Was called a couple times to try and schedule the work around the weather. They wanted to do the work if the forecast was for rain, as they had other outdoor jobs to finish. That made it a little hard to plan when the work was going to be done, and when we needed to cage our pets. No big deal though .. the work was done on-time. The crew was quick, clean, and courteous. Job was finished in 2 days, and I was happy with the quality of the work.

We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

They did a fine job in a timely fashion at fair price.

Have not signed contract as of today. Still waiting for formal quote.

This is the second time we used Franklin to have our home painted. First time was about 7 yrs ago. As before, they delivered as promised and carefully prepared the surfaces before painting--left no debris upon completion. Quite satisfied once more, as before. The price was competitive. Frank also had called to attention many carpentry repairs to our older home that were best done before they painted. This advise was heeded and interestingly, no other consulted paint contractor had mentioned these issues. We appreciate Frank's attention to detail and professionalism. We're happy to reccomend his firm.

Franklin was reasonably priced (even against 2 other prices), on-time, job completed to our exact specifications & expectations. Top notch quality job, exceeded expectations, always left house clean - like they had never been here.

When I initially contacted them, it took more than two weeks to have them provide me a quote for the requested work. They quoted $2,600 but they refused to provide a written estimate describing what they would be doing. This occurred in May. I requested that they proceed with the job in July since they were so highly recommended. I did not hear from them for several weeks. Finally at the end of August they came back to me with a another quote for $3,200, more than 20% higher than the original quote claiming that it would cost more than they originally thought after they re-looked at the job. It was at that point that I sought additional quotes from three other painters, all of whom quoted substantially lower prices. I eventually had the job performed by the next highest quote of $2,200 and was extremely pleased with their work.

He's fantastic. He's expensive but he's worth it. I would highly recommend him.

Ceiling was prepped and painted according to proposal and agreement. The painting and clean up were done in a professional manner and met all expectations.

The representative was nice, but, when we called to follow up with them, they would not provide the insurance estimates unless they were paid a $75.00 fee. We were not told this prior and wouldn't have wasted our time with this company if we had been told this. Today, another painting contractor who visited when called provided the requested insurance estimates + estimates for the rooms we are having painted. Their bid was 35% less than this company's, they were recommended by a few of our neighbors who'd used them, and who had a good experience. Based on this, we would not recommend Franklin Painting.

An entire team tackled my house; from the quote to power washing to color matching and finally to the painting, everything was done in a professional manner. Communication from Franklin was great and the end result is very pleasing. When the painting crew had a technical problem with their sprayer (a hose burst) they were quick and thorough with clean up to the point that if I hadn't been home when they were doing the work I wouldn't have known there was a problem. They cleaned up the work site every evening and were just great to deal with during the project. They even replaced some damaged shakes I missed during their prep. We are very satisfied with the work Franklin Painting did on our house.

This was a multi day job as there were a number of areas to paint, however, I was very impressed by how quickly the job was completed. Andy led his crew and they were right on time and professional. Andy addressed every question and concern I had, going out of his way to ensure I was satisfied. They didn't play music loud like some contractors do which was nice since I was home during most of the painting. We have used Franklin painting before and had a great experience working with Andy. I would recommend them.

We were very pleased with this company. The entire process was extremely professional with great results. Andy and his associate did all the work, which included patching and some drywall repair, in a prompt and timely fashion. What we really liked were the updates and summaries of what the crew would be working on and finishing on a day by day basis. .Andy checked in with us whenever there was a question about anything, which I consider to be part of the lost practice of Good Customer Service. If you need a color suggestion, you will be in good hands as well. These guys know their business, and get the job done right. Excellent clean up, good care taken when moving your furniture around, no spills, and you can still live in your house comfortably at the end of each work day! Remember, they were working on High ceilings and walls with ladders too.... Any stains or wall dings/dents/holes...gone! Price was right on the money, and Frank made the quote /ob evaluation process painless We WILL be using this company again, no doubt about it. Great Job.

6/7/2011 - The company says that they had equipment problems and that I was notified about them. That is not the whole story. AFTER he was over 1 hour late from the time he said they were going to start the job and AFTER I HAD TO CALL HIM, he said that his guy got a "late start" that morning and that they would be at our home at 11:30. Then a 1:00pm he called and said that they had an equipment issue and they had to run to Walmart to buy a part? Sounds like a lame excuse and it's poor customer service at it's finest. If you want to take the chance, call this company. I am sure they have done a good job for people in the past and they have received good reviews here on Angie's list, but my experience was the exact opposite.

See my comments from above. The estimate process was prompt and efficient; the workers showed up on time to do the job professionally. Not one drop of paint on the floors, and the rooms look great! Thank you Franklin Painting!

They came on time and were very responsive to all of our requests. Did exactly what they contracted to do and did it in a very timely fashion. Carpentry and painting were precise and beautifully done. They were very accomidating and kept us up to date. Very easy to get a hold of.

Franklin Painting LLC did a good job as it was a difficult task. They were professional and they cleaned up well. I had an issue with their price. I was quoted $60 an hour and they finished the job in 5 and half hours. I got to know later that it was $60 per person. It may have been my fault for not knowing or assuming that. I have used them before for many jobs and they were pricey all the time.

They showed up when they said they would. They were very conscious of keeping their work area, and the rest of the house, as clean as they could. They do an extraordinary job in very little time.

They did an excellent job! They were very professional and did quality painting. The staff are employees of the company, so they didn't use subcontractors.

Everything went well. Three man crew first day, two men the second day. Very neat and job was done very well.

Frank shows up and sells the job, and he's definitely on the high end. It's worth it though. That will probably be the last time you see him. Then his crew leader will introduce himself and figure out the whole project. When, where, why, how and for how long. Very professional and friendly. At the end of the job a few days out, I noticed some plaster was peeling up on the ceiling. Within an hour the guy that is basically the site boss shows up and fixes it all for free. There is a bunch of chips on some of our bookcase shelves and I won't be surprised if he is here and fixing it that some day. Overall, they are a little pricey. I got a couple of quotes that were literally 1/5 as much money. I'm sure the job would have reflected that. Where I'm standing, I want a crew that does the paint right and Frank's running a well oiled ship.

Getting painters to do touch up work is not easy as it is often too small a job to be considered worthwhile. Frankin painting were one of only two painters from 5 contacted to get back with a quote. Their quote was a good one and so I got them in. Tiing was not crucial so I told them to work around their primary schedule as time allowed. Their first efforts were a little too hasty, with the holes that were caulked touched up in blotches which produced a slight mottling effect on the woodwork. IN addition some spots had been missed. TO their crdit all of the additional work I requested (additional touch ups in hard to reach places and full painting of the boards with caulking to ensure the paint work blended) were all undertaken without complaint, and the final result is pretty good. Overall as long as you are willing to act as foremen and keep on top of the work being done, the price and quality of work is good and I would certainly recommend Franklin to others.

When I called Frank for an estimate, he was at my house within hours and I had a complete and thorough estimate in my hands promptly after we talked. Frank's employees, who did the work, were outstanding. They showed up on time and worked full days with professionalism and politeness, despite the sweltering heat we experienced this summer. They were conscientious about doing a good job and let me know if they encountered any problems they needed to solve; then, they solved them. They completed a truly beautiful job in a matter of days (we'd had our house painted by another contractor several years ago, and that job seemed to take weeks, so I'd expected a similar pace). They cleaned up thoroughly and even took our old shutters away (we thought we'd have to make separate arrangements with our trash collectors). And when it was all over, there were no "surprises" -- the invoice was exactly the same as the estimate. I would completely recommend Franklin Painting for any home painting job. Beyond their work ethic and the quality of their work, everyone, from Frank to his employees, was friendly and considerate. They worked quietly and efficiently and I never felt as if they were "in the way": life for me and my family continued as normal, but the house looked better and better every day! I have some interior painting that needs to be done, and I will call Frank for that as well.

Frank came out to quote the job and was very helpful. When I said his original quote was out of my budget, he suggested I hire one of his crews for a day. I thought about it and decided I needed to spend the extra money to have it done right. Greg and Carlos came on time and were very friendly and professional. Greg told me what they were going to do and they did it. No drama. They did a great job. In the end, Frank lowered the final bill by about $350 to reflect the actual time the crew spent on the job.

We are listing our house and had a short timeframe. Franklin painting was quick to get the work done. Frank promised a turnkey solution and the painting crew delivered. I didn't have to prepare for the painters they removed all the window treatments, moved all the furniture and worked around a bunch of kids. The woodwork is old but the results were dramatic. I am a little obsessive so I did notice some spots that were missed but they were more than happy to come back out and address any of my concerns. I am 100% satisfied with my experience.
