Fernandez Painting

The project began with an estimate and the first scheduled task of power washing. My kitchen deck looks brand new too The next steps included covering windows and other outdoor prep. The house was painted and all of the equipment and prep was removed.

Luis did a terrific job -- it was a three-part process -- repairing the ceiling, a second compounding, and then painting. Each part was done with care and skill. Cleanup after each part of the job was perfect. Ceiling is as good as new, paint job was expert. Definitely recommended.

Called to get an estimate for an interior painting job. Was told I would get a call back the next day for a time they could stop by and give an estimate. No return call and we went with another painter. Disappointed given the favorable reviews online.

It went mostly okay. It literally was just labor. The labor who he sent came with caulking and nothing else. Fortunately, I had been doing all the renovations myself to that point. So I had all the tools and everything he would possibly need. So he was able to do what I needed done. Because I'm doing a whole house renovation, I was looking for labor to help me with the prep, to get the walls and the ceilings ready for paint. They didn't charge anything more than the big deal charge of $249. The labor didn't speak good English. I could communicate the basics but I couldn't talk to him about specifics. I thought a painter labor should have the tools they use, things like taping knives and trowels, basic tools of the trade. If I hadn't been doing all the work myself, it would have been a complete waste. It was a good price. I didn't get exactly what I was looking for. The English wasn't good, so communication wasn't solid. If I had gotten that, I would have easily given them an 'A' because for what they offered, I think it was a good price. I would not use their services again in this manner.

Luis, Ivan and Frederico were courteous and professional. All of the painting came out great! We will use them again!

The employees were fast, efficient and cleaned up well. Not certain though, why they put a hole in my ceiling paint can, making it unusable for the future.

They are great to work with. The appt. was scheduled. The person showed up on time. Did a wonderful job painting and then cleaned up after himself. I woukd definitely recommend.

Fernandez Painting was responsive, prompt, always on-time, and finished a large job (lots of molding and details) quickly and it looks great! The crew were lovely guys and left the job clean and tidy. We could not be happier with their service and will recommend them in the future.

That worked out pretty well. He came out in a reasonable time. He finished the job in a reasonable time so I've been satisfied with what he did. It was not perfect but very satisfactory. I don't think I had bad experiences with them. He did what I wanted to do and the price was right so I was satisfied. I don't have any problems with him. I don't have any complaints with the price. Responsiveness was very good.

It was fair. It wasn't completely done. I had to finish it because he had another appointment to go to. I got them through Angie's List. The pricing was good. They didn't do what they were supposed to do and it was not good.

After a couple of hiccups with scheduling, due to arriving without the correct equipment (ladder/scaffolding) we are VERY happy with the painters. The reschedule was at our convenience and with sincere apologies and free extra hours of painting to compensate, so we really cannot complain. The foyer was completed within the 8 hour (2 men, 4 hours) timeframe. Communication was excellent with very quick responses to messages. The workmen were prompt, polite and pleasant. They cleaned up after themselves and left no mess/damage. The only reason for the B and not A for quality was the detail work in the corners and edges not being perfect but we are very happy with the job.

We moved in two years ago, and painted two of our rooms, but stayed away from the foyer with a two story staircase and the kitchen. The house needed a fresh, clean colorful look with the bare white walls. The crew was very professional. They finished before my 40 hours of painting were up, and I had to find more work for them to do. They used leftover paint to finish two bathrooms, and fixed a wall and trim work in our dining room that we had attempted on our own. This was well worth the price (which was extremely reasonable!) We got a professional paint job, with a dedicated, hardworking crew, and our house looks like new. Plus, they took care of cleanup.

We had to call them back because there was kind of a messy job done. They did come back and redo the windows on the outside.

I was satisfied. There was some paint on the trim that shouldn't have happened. I did point it out and it never really got fixed to my satisfaction. The workers were fine.

I provided the paint, the plastic sheeting for my furniture and a few paint rollers. Luis and his 2 men showed up at the appointed time, they worked efficiently and continuously, taking just a brief lunch hour. I had them paint 5 rooms and a bathroom. My rooms were filled with so much extra furniture and things that I couldn't imagine how they were going to be able to paint them, but I had people standing by if we needed to move things out of the house for awhile. (I had other painters tell me that I would need to empty the rooms). However, Luis and his crew never asked a thing of me and never complained. They just went to work and did it all. They patched a stress crack in my ceiling that is nearly invisible now, They patched other holes and areas that were problematic. It took an additional 10 hrs above the 40 hrs, but the results were so very worth it. The house looks wonderful. I am receiving compliments. I didn't know how much painters get an hour, but Luis quoted me an hourly rate for the remaining 10 hrs and I agreed. It was well worth it. I highly recommended company Fernandez painting.

I purchased the Big Deal above through Angie's List and sent Fernandez Painting my availability through the messaging center. We agreed that they would come to paint my family room (23x14 with vaulted ceilings) and my kitchen (12x11) on Sept. 10th between 8-9am. I also asked the owner, Luis, how many gallons of paint he would recommend for the 2 areas that size. He told me what I needed and that I would need to supply the brushes, rollers, tarps, etc. An employee from Fernandez Painting called me the day of the appointment, 30 minutes before, stating the owner was sick and unable to make the appointment. I rescheduled the appointment with Luis for Sept. 11th, and he stated a gentleman by the name of Ivan was going to come out that day. On Sept 11th, Ivan did come to start our service. He filled in small holes before painting and started painting the kitchen. A few hours into the service, Luis came by, very belligerent, claiming he could not finish the project in the time frame the deal allowed. Sure enough, 5pm came, and the painter left. Luis messaged me on Sept 14th stating the kitchen needs another coat of paint, but could not do the work till Friday. I responded back stating that this was unacceptable, that I was flexible when he was sick, and that I expect the work to be completed. Luis sent another message claiming that I purchased a deal for 8 hours with 1 person, that we went over this at my house, that he said he would get done what they could and that I understood. He also stated that the job was completed because they spent 8 hours at my house and that if we wanted the work finished it would be $40/hour/per person. I never agreed to any of what Luis is claiming. The scope of the work was clearly defined before the work started and by the note I left for Luis through Angie's List, and I know this because he gave me the amount needed for paint. Further, neither did Luis or Ivan state at any moment that this work would not be finished once it was started. I informed Luis that I wanted this resolved within the next 48 hours, from today's date (9/15/15), or that I would report him to Angie's List. I have yet to hear a response from Luis, therefore I have opened a complaint against him and Fernandez Painting.

From the moment I reached out to Fernandez Painting until the time they finished the job, I knew I made the right choice. I had chosen another company that also advertises on Angie's List and they were so unresponsive. By the time they got back to me (the other company) it took about 3 weeks to even set up a consult. The company missed the appointment! I emailed Fernandez Painting and got a reply the next day. They were very realistic about the time lines, asked great questions about the job and we set a date for them to come by. The day of service, they arrived right on time. We quickly reviewed the work and they offered to help move furniture, put plastic over the furniture and even taped, spackled and sanded our rough, old, plaster walls (a bonus as the agreement was that if I decided to provide the paint and some supplies, the only work they'd do was paint. The painter was very respectful, professional, clean and considerate. Despite my house being at hot as blazes that day (upper 80's with the ceiling fan going) the painter was quick, yet detail oriented. I am so impressed by this painting company and would recommend them highly to others.

I took advantage of the 40 hour painter deal. Fernandez Painting provided a team of two that worked two 10 hour days to fulfill the contract. Evon was the lead painter and he had a different assistant each day. The first day they prepped and finished the ceiling. This required extensive use of plastic sheets to protect walls and furniture.appliances. Work was done with great care and attention to detail. There was no mess or overpaint and it came out perfect. The front door was prepped to smooth surface, especially chips In original DYI paint job. The second day the master bedroom was prepped and painted. Heavy furniture was moved by the crew to accomplish the task. Nail holes were speckled and the painting was done beautifully. Again there was no mess or collateral issues. The front door was finished to complete the entire job. It took three coats and meticulous attention to detail to create a result that was outstanding. Evon did this himself and gave us a front door to be proud. We definitely got our money's worth and would use Fernandez Painting again.

The two painters were terrific. They took the time to tape and cover the floors and were on time, worked hard and were very professional. The cost was more because I needed the entire house painted and the previous owners made many deep holes in the drywall that needed repair before they could be painted. One room had sprinkles that needed to be sanded and repaired before it could be painted. The supervisor, Luis, was very professional and ensured that the job was done. I would use Fernandez Painting again.

, Fernandez and his crew member were focused, meticulous, organized, and quiet. They got more done than I had originally anticipated. The only problem was that I had not considered how long it would take the compound to dry, and because of that a section had to be left unpainted. I am confident, however, that if I had planned for this the quality would have been excellent.
