Description of Work: I had a few small jobs to complete around the house - specifically replace the molding around a door & replace the hardware. Also my cabinets were hanging crooked in my kitchen and my front door needed to have the hardware replaced. Small Jobs was prompt, clean & professional. I would most definitely recommend Jeff.

Description of Work: I have used Jeff from The Small Jobs company several times for projects around the house. He does a great quality job. He installed a small kitchen in my office, changes light fixtures, installed a new bathroom vanity, replaced trim. I was always extremely happy with the work he did, the pricing and trust him 100%.

Description of Work: I needed someone to work on my front door. It has been misaligned for several years so that I had to struggle to lock it every time I went out. When I contacted Jeff of the Small Jobs Company, we set an appointment for him to come and assess what repairs would fix this problem. We then set an appointment for two days later when he would return to make the needed adjustments. Within about 30 minutes, he had readjusted the door lock plate which needed reinstalling and filing. I was finally able to close my door, turn the key and have it lock. No more struggling. Jeff was on time, courteous, professional and tidied up after completing the work. I highly recommend that when you have a small job to be successfully completed, call Jeff at the Small Jobs Company. I am sure that I will be calling him again for my small jobs.

+ -1 moreJeff was great - and such a trooper. He had to put this together in my garage when it was 0 degrees outside, and VERY cold in my garage. He is friendly, upbeat and was very punctual. I have a feeling there is nothing he can't help you with...before he came to my house he researched the hoop, looked up the instructions and figured out how to put it together. The price he quoted was based on the manufacturer's suggested time allotment, but he capped it so it didn't cost me a fortune to get this thing assembled. Considering it would've taken us 8+ hours to put this together, and probably at a great loss to marital harmony Jeff was well worth the price!

I rest easier knowing the dryer vent is clear and operating properly, and the shelving he installed is super secure - he hit all the studs. Unlike so many contractors in Fairfield County who can be dismissive or unresponsive, Jeff was prompt to answer, extremely polite and pleasant, friendly, on time, efficient, the work was excellent and his prices were very reasonable. He is very good at what he does but is also very pleasant to work with. Will definitely be calling him for future projects! A+!
Description of Work: Jeff did a wide range of things, including replacing the crank on a window, fixing another window, rehung closet doors, put together broken drawers. He also shopped for parts and coordinated with the manufacturer.

He minimized the amount of time everything would take with drying time, etc., by excellently planning out what to do while things dried, etc. He was very polite, considerate of my time, and made me feel confident in his abilities. I would hire him again in an instant!

+ -1 moreNice guy but extremely unprofessional. Tried to force us to sign one sided contract that of course protected his interest but not the customers. When we asked him to amend the contract with a standard sentence so we felt covered he became extremely rude and completely unwilling to meet us half way. All we asked was that he add the following sentence in the contract if he wanted us to sign it: and quot;Contractor represents that it is skillful and experienced in the craft of carpentry, agrees to furnish all labor and equipment necessary to perform and complete the contract in good and workmanlike and timely manner. The Contractor agrees that all work shall be subject to the final approval of the customer. He completely refused and ultimately canceled the job on us. We had already started preparations for the work including electrical and painting. Now we need to start all over. I assume that if he is unwilling to add these basic contract terms, he must be hiding something.
