Description of Work: Rich Kornutik and his team of talented sub-contractors had already begun to upgrade our new home—an outdated 1960s-era Colonial with boxed-off rooms—when we purchased it from the former owner. We liked Rich from the start and trusted him implicity to create a home that met our family's needs. We took time, of course to do our research, checking out RFK Development's website; reading other customer reviews; touring homes Rich had built; and viewing photos of others (I'll post some here if possible). When we first viewed what was to become our new home, there was an expansion on the back, a new bluestone patio, refurbished hardwood floors, and updated electrical and plumbing fixtures behind the newly sheet-rocked walls. Other than that, the house was completely empty. Over the next six-plus months, Rich's team reconfigured the upstairs and downstairs layout even more at our request; installed four and a half-bathrooms and a large kitchen; rebuilt the fireplace; primed, painted and tiled; installed air conditioning and dozens of light fixtures; and topped everything off with unique trimwork. When all is said and done, one of my favorite spots in the house is the mudroom, where custom-built cabinetry provides plenty of space to organize and corral the belongings of three small children and a dog! We lived in the home through most of the renovation, and Rich and his guys were beyond courteous. They seamlessly moved us from one space to the next as work moved along. We have kept in close contact with Rich, and most recently hired him to refinish our basement as a lounge area and playspace for the kids. That job was completed in about six weeks' time. We couldn't be happier. * Note that the price above includes labor and supplies for the house renovation and the basement. We chose and supplied the kitchen and bath cabinetry and fixtures throughout the house.
