They're great. Fast, efficient and always on time. They're work is always very neat and clean. We've used them on several occasions and only had one issue, which they quickly resolved at their own cost.

He was professional and did a great job

Steve was service provider and was outstanding.

Guy was friendly, punctual, sensible, and neat. He showed up on time, took some time to find out what we wanted done, dis the job quickly, and cleaned up. He did it in less time than was originally estimated.

My handymen arrived promptly, quickly assessed my needs and got to work on a long list of tasks. They were friendly, courteous, and professional and completed all the work to my satisfaction. They were patient while I made some quick decisions and were helpful in recommending solutions. I would definitely hire them back and recommend them to others!

9/25/15 Update: I would like to amend the review below which I originally posted last June. No one asked me to do this. The owner had tried to reach me several times after reading the review I posted below, but because I was having some issues retrieving messages on my phone, I actually didn't get his message til several months later. The owner told me this review led to some internal conversations about the way things are done there and they decided to revise their policy of refunding half the $175 estimate fee once they get the job. He's informed me they will now refund the full amount. I felt we had a productive conversation and I was impressed with his professionalism and desire to improve his company by listening to constructive criticism. I hired Mr. Handyman to replace an old set of sliding glass doors at my mother?s condo, which was going on the market. The installation seemed to go fine, but it was the back office operations that left me feeling frustrated and wasted my time. After the estimator came out to take the measurements, I waited over a week to get an estimate. I finally got them on the phone and learned that the cause of the delay was that the estimator had left the company. After agreeing to the quoted price and scheduling the job, I made a specific request of the staff that on the day of installation, the installer be ON TIME because I cannot be late for work. She assured me that being on time is something they always do as a matter of course. I also worked out special instructions with her for the installer to return the key to a neighbor since I would not be there when they wrapped up. Despite the special request, the installer arrived 15 minutes late because he could not find the condo complex, even with GPS. He also seemed completely unfamiliar with the instructions about who to return the key to, so I had to go over it all again with him. This made me late for work. When the installers were done with the job, they left no invoice, requiring several more phone call reminders to their office. Keep in mind Mr. Handyman charges $175 for an estimate, unlike any other contractor I know. Only half of it is refundable if you give them the job. The purpose of an estimate fee is to no doubt reduce the number of people who waste their time with estimates. I think giving estimates goes hand in hand with being a contractor and certainly if you?re given the job, there is no reason to pocket half the fee. The staff person said I could take up the matter of the estimate fee later with the owner, but of course you?ll lose all leverage if you wait til after the fact like I did. When I did bring it up again, I was told that the other half of the estimate was deducted from the price they?d given me for the installation. Of course, this wasn?t indicated anywhere on the estimate and I?m sure this was a convenient way to duck out of refunding the other half of the fee. I?m satisfied with the product, but not at all with the service. My time is as valuable as yours, Mr. Handyman, and I spent way too much time chasing things down that should have been done automatically, and certainly more promptly. This was not a good customer experience. This could have been mostly avoided with just a little bit of effort by the back office and more transparent policies regarding the estimate fees but I didn?t get the idea they cared one way or the other

Using a razor blade as a tool, the technician was unable to break the glued panel which grants access to attic. I asked him to try to use a putty knife and a hammer or mallet, and he refused saying the panel was sheetrock (which I know for sure is wood), and regardless, he felt he'd only do damage so refused to try any further. So no assessment of the attic could take place and while he replaced the vent cover outside, he could not make sure the inside/outside connection was secure. When fixing the dryer vent to the ceiling, he asked to leave to pick up some "tools." I asked what tools and he said he needed duct tape. I asked if he didn't carry this in his truck as a staple of many fix it jobs, he said no. I gave him my duct tape, rather than pay for his labor and mark up on allowing him to leave to buy duct tape. Mr. Handyman was to send a separate plumber to fix the outside spigot, but called 10 minutes before the appointment to say the technician was going to be late and the plumber couldn't come. The technician would have to fix the spigot. It took him quite a while to do this, when only a washer was required because he didn't know what he was doing. Meanwhile had the plumber showed up to do the job, it would have cost $175 just to come and up from their based on time spent. He also complained that he didn't like going up on ladders as he was afraid of falling - he should be because he was about 80 years old. Needless to say, I will never, never use this vendor again. It cost $304 for a washer for the dripping spigot and replace the dryer venting tube from dryer to ceiling! I called Mr. Handyman to express my dissatisfaction and make the recommendation, which I intend to take going forward with like projects. That is to have a pre-project visit, assessment of right talent and tools for the project, and cost estimate. In this experience, I was on the meter and with a limited-competence handyman, I felt the job costs way much more than it should have. I was told my dissatisfaction would be passed on to the owner of the franchise. He sent me a note via facebook saying he was sorry I had a bad experience. I guess he doesn't agree that I was gauged. Let the buyer be aware!!!!!

The screen porch is ten feet off the ground, so it was a lot of ladder work. He did a good job and was easy to talk with. He made good suggestions, worked hard, and did a very good job. He also did a bit of carpentry work on a piece of facial board around a drain pipe. Again this meant being up on a ladder.

The finished job is perfect. The crew cleaned up their mess and completed the work on time. We will definitely call this company for future repair jobs.

Provider's quote much higher than others received.

The guys were excellent and super positive. They were quick to offer solutions to a few issues that came up. They also didn't complain or cause any stirs when there were a few additional needs for the instal. Overall an extremely great service and experience.

They did a really good job, and were professional and responsive. The price was too much in my opinion.

The instructions that accompanied the wagon were unclear and left out some steps but Guy spoke to the company onsite and assembled the wooden wagon without a hitch. He was fast and pleasant to have at my premises. I would use handyman again and request Guy.

They were fantastic. I've had three separate job and they did great. Everything has been fine. They did really good. They were polite and I wouldn't call them back for the third job if they were not good. The ramp took one day, the fence took them two days and then they did the five doors in a single day. They came early then they finished late in the afternoon. There was nothing I wasn't satisfied about.

It was excellent! Doug was our technician and he was always on time and very clean as well. Doug was excellent all around and did some other work involving caulking in the kitchen and other minor repairs around the home.

Amazing company! They spent so much time with me, giving me suggestions and some great ideas. Circumstances prevented me with going through with this project. They never made me feel like I had to make a decision right away, they were so helpful and understanding. They care about the customer and it's obvious after about five minutes into a conversation with Skip. I will be using this company in the future. Not that well. It worked for about two weeks, and then it started to fall.

This was a very difficult and thankless job, and Mr. Handyman was the only one of three outfits we had in to look at the job and give us bids that stepped up to the plate and agreed to do the work. The attic and cupola space in our antique house were extremely difficult to work in, and I think the job ended up being quite a bit more than they bargained for, but Mr. Handyman honored its original price, which we had already thought was quite fair. Skip and the rest of team were a pleasure to deal with.

It was so easy to work with the Mr.Handyman company!! I sent them an email regarding what I was looking to have repaired and they responded within a few days. I called the service center and they took all my information and set me up with an appointment for someone in my area to come and fix the drywall in my garage. The technician arrived on time and was wonderful. He explained what he was doing throughout the whole process and an added bonus he was great with my dogs too!!!

To put 4 screws in my fence that took 10 -15 minutes cost $175 per hour. I decided to replace my whole fence, because if it fell down during the winter it would cost me $2000 just to straighten it out. I would not recommend this service unless its an emergency and you don't have any other alternatives. They were too expensive!

He was on time and professional. He gave me a complete estimate. He was clean and he brought all the correct tools with him.
