Description of Work: The serviceman performed all of the tasks I asked him to perform adequately and in a timely manner. He had to come back for a second trip because the compound he was using needed to dry overnight, but there was no additional charge for this second trip. My only complaint is that in one bathroom, where he was resetting a tile that had come loose, the grout has subsequently come loose again and I will need him to come back to redo the repair. All the other work he did including installing a shelf system in a closet, dry wall work and resetting another tile in a different bathroom was completely fine and came out great. The serviceman was polite, prompt and capable.

Description of Work: They installed a drain in front of my garage to solve a flooding problem. it worked perfectly. They also did a variety of painting work, which varied in quality; the porch railings painted a year ago are now peeling, which is not tops.

Description of Work: They fixed cracks in my mother's home to help secure drafts, they also installed more cost efficient lights and a new sink in the kitchen. They are coming back to put insulation in the walls. I can't speak to the cost because this was a free service due to her income level but I can say that they are extremely professional and prompt. And the service was great.

Description of Work: needed an estimate for some ceiling work. compared with other estimates, including insurance company, estimate was very low. this didnt seem right to me also The only way to get an estimate from this Handyman service is to pay 50.00. I f you dont use them, you lose your 50.00. i dont think this is right. Yes, they did tell me this but after mulling it over, i dont think it was right...my husband and i are both senior citizens and it is so difficult to get workers so i said ok but i shouldnt have. anyway the work was done by someone else who did not charge me for an estimate and did a wonderful job.

Description of Work: Hung 2 large, heavy mirrors in foyer. They came a few minutes early, understood what needed to be done and went right to work. They were very clean and neat.

Description of Work: Mr Handyman replaced a large area of ceiling drywall where we had previously had a plumbing leak and taped, spackled and sanded the area to be ready for painting which took several planned trips. They were very communicative if a schedule had to adjust (due to snow), prompt every time, professional, conscientious, protected our furnishings, cleaned up after every visit, and did fine work. We had 3 estimates and theirs was in the middle being several hundred lower than the highest estimate and double the estimate of a company not on Angie's list who seemed uninterested in the job. Using Angie's list worked for us.

Description of Work: I got an estimate from this company for a number of projects in our home. Unlike every other company I have been dealing with lately, they showed up exactly on time, were thorough and patient in discussing the projects and detailed in providing their estimate. Their price was certainly on the higher side but I think that is a function of being a larger company. The trade off is that they have a lot of people working for them so I anticipate they are more likely to complete a project on time and during hours that work for the home owner. I haven't decided if I am going to use them, my only hesitation being price. But I really liked the man I met with, Herman, and would love to use them if we can afford it.

Description of Work: We purchased the bathroom 3/D design, we asked for the service on the only open date we had, Skip sent an email saying the only time they could come out was Tuesday or Thursday (this was not noted in the fine print). We played email and phone tag for a couple of days and spoke to Skip on the 23rd, he said he had been trying to get Angie's list to take down the offer but would honer it and asked what we had in mind, we explained that we had a small bathroom that needed a remodel, Skip explained what fixtures they used and the cost would be around 16 to 20k way more then we were looking to pay. We explained that we wanted to pick our own fixtures for the bathroom and would be happy to do the demo and asked what he thought the cost would be if we did this? his response was 16k? at this point we had heard enough to know that this was not a job they were interested in doing and we were wasting each others time. Skip said he would refund our $49 and that was how we left it, we will give a week and follow up on the refund.
