 + 0 moreI have often called or emailed businesses who don't respond at all even when they offer services about which I'm inquiring, so I was very impressed with this contractor.
Description of Work: Mr. Racheotes responded promptly to my email asking about services he doesn't provide. I was impressed with his courtesy of not only responding but also offering to recommend people who DO replace kitchen countertops.

 + -1 more* I was immediately impressed with the knowledge, professionalism, and long list of references that Basil & Kevin have amassed over their many years installing high-end kitchens throughout CT, NY & MA. * I felt very lucky to have been able to hire them for my "relatively small" kitchen remodel project (installing $12K of Kraft Made cabinets purchased at Home Depot). * Basil & Kevin are friendly (without being too informal), impeccably courteous, remarkably neat, very responsive (and thoughtful enough to explain many highly technical details to me--a relatively uneducated consumer). * They made several recommendations along the entire remodel process in order for ALL the trades (electrician, tile flooring installer, plumber, granite countertop installer, etc.) to produce a superior finished product. They took the time to educate me on the alternatives which helped me make better decisions. * Basil & Kevin work tremendously well together as a team. They are always prompt, arriving as early as my schedule allowed (7AM). They were on time, completed all work within the budget, and helped me with a few little extras that were unforseen. * The quality of their custom fitting of the cabinetry was impeccable. Any seams were caulked & are now unnoticeable. They even installed color-matching (almond) plastic caps on the head of each screw in order to hide them. * They approached every installation & design decision with the question, "If this were MY kitchen, how would I like for it to appear?" And the results show it! * Needless to say, my wife and I are simply overjoyed with the quality of the cabinet installation that Basil & Kevin performed. * We will definitely hire Basil & Kevin for whatever work we need to have done in our home: installing railings in our entry foyer, replacing our deck in the Spring, etc. * We can not recommend them highly enough.
Description of Work: I was AWE-STRUCK by Kevin & Basil (of K & B Construction) after they installed my new cabinets & trim during my kitchen remodel. They took the original plans (which looked great), and showed me how they could IMPROVE on them--using just the materials that were ordered. * They removed fillers that appeared somewhat disjointed & grouped them together--with decorative overlays--in an appropriate spot. * They also built an island in the middle of my kitchen which looks like a custom piece of furniture. * Their attention to miniscule details make the entire kitchen look like the custom cabinetry you'd find in a $200K kitchen in Greenwich. * They were not the lowest cost of the three proposals I received. They were in the middle of the three--but I was convinced that the final result would be superior in every way. * The results were better than I could ever have imagined.
