If you have an older home, don't bother calling them - While setting up a meeting with them I disclosed that a couple of the projects we were interested in having done would involve interacting with lead paint. They mentioned testing them to adhere to the guidelines and we still set up a meeting. The gentleman who came by was pleasant but kept repeating, kind of elaborately, what a hassle dealing with lead paint is. And the projects we mentioned that would not even involve the older parts of the house, that had lead paint on them, he seemed uninterested in doing. He told us how easy it would be to do ourselves or how difficult they would be in general to do. It was a frustrating meeting, where we were told at least five times about lead paint processes, even though we were asking for the cost to do these things with those guidelines in mind. He got back to us, telling us what it would cost IF there wasn't lead paint. We wanted to know what it would be to do the work, adhering to all of the correct rules about lead, and he wouldn't bother giving us a number. They just didn't want to bother with us. I wish he would not have even come out and wasted our time.

Ly gave me the best quote for the project and was always prompt in returning my calls. The project took four days to complete and was a much smoother process than I anticipated. I live in a condo and did not have room to completely move my furniture out of the room that was under construction. The guys on Ly's crew moved the furniture around the room and covered it so that I did not have to worry about finding a place to store everything. Not only did they move the furniture when they were working, but they also moved it all back into place each day when they finished working. This meant that I was still able to use the room in the evenings. It was hard to tell that they were in the process of ripping out my ceiling because they did such a great job of containing the mess. They went above and beyond my expectations. In addition to keeping the place tidy, they remembered small details that saved me money. For example, it was cold on the day that they were replacing my sliding glass door. Before I could remember to turn off the heat, they had already thought to do so.Ly was very reasonable in his pricing and gave me the most affordable solutions. He listened to what my needs were and did not try to take advantage of the fact that I was not very knowledgable about construction projects. I was very pleased with the end result.

Work went fine with no hassles. A separate back door allowed access so entrance to the main apartment was not required. Total time was about 3 1/2 days including cleanup.

He has worked for me a lot of different times over the past 10 years. He did a really good job! I will be using him to build a deck and a dock for me. If I need him for a day, he'll come and do whatever I need him to do. He is wonderful.
