Atlas Overhead Door Sales

It is a bit of a bait and switch because it was not just the rollers that need replacing when tuning up garaga doors, they also need new springs, so what was advertised as $99 ended up costing an additional $225, but no different than going to an auto repair shop for an oil change and have them find other things that "need" to be fixed. Very satisfied with the work overall.

Very well. Also, as part of the examination of garage door tune-up, it was suggested that the garage door springs were too large, which hindered how the garage door goes up and down. I replaced them for a nominal price. Completely satisfied and will use them again.

I was going to call the Atlas Overhead Door company on Monday because my garage door is noisier than ever. I'm not quite sure exactly what he did for service, he wasn't here very long. So I just wanted to call, but, on the other hand, I don't want to pay for another technical service call because he was just here two weeks ago. It was squeaky before he came out, but now it's quite noisy. I can't say I'm 100% satisfied at all. They didn't charge any more. I didn't sign anything, there was nothing for me to sign. He said I would probably get an e-mail requesting what I thought of the service. He said he put new rollers on or ball bearing, whatever. He was supposed to give a tuneup, but I don't know about the tuneup. He was only here like 10 minutes, he was running very, very, very late. They were initially supposed to be here between 9:00 and 12:00 and he called me around 10:30 and said he would be here between 1:00 and 3:00 and it was after 4:00 when he got here and then he was in a hurry. He said he had two more appointments to go and it was getting dark. He only worked on my garage door for maybe 10 or 12 minutes. He was kind of hurried to get to where his next appointment was because it was getting dark at that point. He was a very pleasant man, his name was Mike. He said to me that the $99 is what the ball bearing or the new rollers that he put on would cost and he said that doesn't even cover the service charge. So the service charge, if I had just called someone, would be extra. So, I guess the price was okay. I don't know what to compare it with. I did have a tuneup a couple of years ago by another overhead door company and it was $75 for tuneup at that point, I don't know if they replaced anything. Apparently, Angie's List, when I signed up, it showed a calendar and then I was supposed to pick out the dates. I never heard a confirmation. I picked out three dates, first choice, second choice and third choice and I never heard anything. So then I called the company and she said, "We've asked Angie's List not to set up times because we have to do that." So then I waited for three weeks, which was fine. I was in no hurry because my garage door wasn't broken or anything. So, there was no correlation between what Angie's List shows for a time for an appointment and what the actual company offers for a time for the appointment. It probably turned me off of Angie's List. I don't know if I would ever use them again. I see things that they offer and I get an email from them, but I'm kind of hesitant now, to use them again, both, certainly not Atlas, but Angie's List.

Very well. The door would only partially rise, then get stuck. Initially he said it was the motor which would need replacing. He then went on to the tune-up and adjusted the springs. This corrected the issue with the sticking door. He then changed out the rollers (one side was badly chewed up due to a bent track) and lubed all the rollers and hinges. The door moved smoother and quieter than it ever has. He mentioned that it wouldn't hurt to replace the springs and pulleys, but as the door seemed to work well now I told him I might at a later date and he didn't push the issue further. If I do change those out I'd definitely go back to this company.

The company overall was accommodating and professional. Everything was done swiftly, and the installers were amiable and informative. I am very pleased with the service and outcome.

It went very well, James Harris, ( on the left side of the garage) realigned sensors, installed nylon rollers, balance, tightened and lube door, than adjusted force settings.

I signed up for the $99 "tune up special" on Angies List and indicated convenient days for the appointment. The very next day Heidi call to make an appointment. The technician was very nice and professional. He noted that in addition to the rollers that came with the inspection I would be well served to replace the springs and pulleys, which I did since the door hadn't been inspected in 16 years. Also gave me a price for a new motor since mine was past it's "life." But no pressure to buy. The door is now SO QUIET and I feel much safer having the new springs. Would definitely use Atlas in the future and recommend to others. Both Heidi in the office and James, the technician, were helpful and friendly. And I received a receipt by e-mail the very next day.

The representative that came did a great job and was very helpful. I bought the tune-up over the weekend and they came on Monday at the preferred time. I was impressed with his knowledge and work ethic! The garage door now works much better with less noise and vibration. Thanks!!!

Our garage door had a cable snap and would no longer open. It was also long overdue for service and I planned on getting it serviced this spring anyway. I put a request on Angie's List, they contacted us the same day, and were able to schedule a service call the next day. The technician, James, was prompt, courteous, and professional. He even called a half hour prior to confirm his arrival time. James replaced broken torsion springs, bearings, cables and drums. He balanced the door, tightened and lubed. He completed the work in less than 2 hours. The door works great and is in much safer condition than before. We definitely recommend Atlas, and will use them again in the future.

I called Atlas on Monday 3/21, got an estimate, decided to go with them, and they had the Lift Master installed within two days. The process of getting an estimate and scheduling someone to come out to install was extremely easy. The installer got the job done right withing less than an hour and ensured that the garage door opener worked appropriately.

We were rescheduled a couple of times. Once they were there - it was great. He was in and out and the garage door makes almost no noise at all going up or down.

They were great. Got in touch with me as soon as Inpurchased tge deal. They made convenient plans, came by when they said they woukd and did exactly what I purchased. I woukd recommend them to anyone.

in my opinion the work was brief but adequate. The repair person was thorough, but the company's motivation was I thought, transparent. The purpose was to sell me a new door installation..The company followed-up frequently afterward. I understand the marketing motivation, but I thought it went over the top.

The provider would have serviced our squeaky garage door, and the folks I talked to were wonderful -- but they do not serve our area! I wish that had been clear in the "special" offer on Angie's List, but it wasn't. I got a refund on our credit card. If anyone out there in the Guilford area wants to offer a good deal for garage doors, I'd sign up!

Garage doors work fine but we had to personally replace the motor that stopped working. To be fair, it was on its last legs but it was lousy timing that once the technician touched it, it stopped working...

Provider did a great job and was easy to work with. They also were able to reprogram my garage door keypad and leave me a new garage door remote opener for my car.

they initially contacted the wrong number and were told the job had been done. When I contacted them they found out about the mistake and sent someone right over. The worker completed the tune-up and installed the new rollers. During the work he determined that the pulleys on the door were worn and needed replacement. He answered all of my questions and replaced the pulleys. The door is working great.

They did an outstanding job! I've had this company install multiple garage door openers for me and they always are professional, prompt and reasonably priced.

Because one of their techs was out, they had to reschedule our first appointment. This was done very professionally and Heidi is great., finding a day when I might be the first appointment. w.I appreciated the call telling me when the technician was on his way, substantially narrowing my 9 to noon window When I first called, I did not realize that the deal was only one door. (The picture shows 2.) I think it would be good if there were a reduced price for a second door. We opted just to do one and that worked well.
