Description of Work: I thought this company was very good in providing me with a design for a kitchen remodel. I liked working with Lou, the owner, and his assistant Ruth. They were professional and very friendly. I elected not to impliment the design because the expense was greater than I expected.

Description of Work: They altered what we thought, on the basis of our very detailed architectural drawings, would be honored.

Description of Work: Installed piping and electrical for new half bathroom. Were super nice and easy to work with. It was a smaller job for them so I was not on the top of their list but that was understandable and I enjoyed their service.

Description of Work: "I hesitated writing a review of the company referred by Angie’s List (Perfect View Remodeling) to do some plumbing in my home in the off chance that the company would do the right thing, however they continue to ignore the problems they created in my house, so at this point they have left me no alternative but to contact Angie’s List before I take this to the Connecticut licensing division and state guaranty fund. I saw an ad on Angie's list for a $75 coupon for plumbing services. I purchased the coupon and was contacted by the company to arrange an appointment with their plumber who would come out to fix a few things in my home. We asked him to install a new trash compactor that we previously purchased at Home Depot, we also had a new faucet we needed him to install in our master bath and also had a new thermostatic valve that we needed him to replace in our walk in shower. The plumber couldn't remove the kitchen sink faucet that was in his way of installing the trash compactor so we agreed to allow him to cut off the old kitchen faucet and I ran out to purchase a new kitchen faucet. He installed the trash compactor and kitchen faucet, but when we tried the trash compactor it didn't work. The plumber explained he thought it was an electrical problem and that is was probably a bad switch. We then moved on to the master bath where he installed the new faucet and new thermostatic valve and was done for the day. The next morning I awoke to a disaster, I went down stairs to find a large puddle of water on my dining room table and all over our hardwood floor. The water had come from behind the wall in the shower and poured down below onto the ceiling in my dining room through the chandelier directly below the shower. At the time I had a computer and other items on the dining table which luckily were spared. But the ceiling, chandelier, table, and hard wood floor didn't fare as well, all were damaged. I called Perfect View Remodeling and they sent the plumber out to see what was going on. The plumber explained that it was his fault and that he didn't tighten the thermostatic valve enough and that his boss Louis Cook would pay to have all the damage fixed so that we would be made whole again. I am a self-employed businessman and have been so for over 30 years. I mention this only because at this time I had a choice to allow the same people that caused the damage to my house to correct it, or to contact a public adjuster and have them duke it out with Perfect View's insurance company. I thought that if I was running this Perfect View I would hope that someone would first allow me to correct my company's mistakes instead of going right to my insurance company. Anyone who's been in business knows all it takes is one claim and your rates go up or you lose coverage or both. So I opted to allow Perfect View to make good on the plumbers claim that his boss would make sure we were made whole again. In retrospect I should have dealt with his insurance company because Louis Cook , the owner of Perfect View has been dragging his feet with finishing the repairs his company caused to my home. Initially he sent out Matt who was a very good worker, he right away took to cutting out the damaged ceiling and cut the wires of the chandelier and brought the chandelier to someone they use who rewires and refurbishes lighting. He returned some time later and put in new ceiling material and primed the ceiling. A week or so later Matt returned to do some painting it was at this time they also brought back the chandelier, it looked as though it had been rewired but the finish on the chandelier remains damaged. The chandelier was a solid brass chandelier that was custom ordered from Italy, the same model in a different finish is available on Amazon.com for $799.99 but that is half the price of the model we have that was custom ordered. That is where we are now, and have been, for 3 weeks now. The ceiling still has not finished being painted, no word at all about fixing the damage to the finish of the chandelier, the table was damaged and I explained to Louis that a replacement table top can be ordered, and the hardwood floors were damaged and still have not been addressed. I believe that Mr. Cook thinks if he ignores the problem that it will simply go away. I am writing Angie's List to see if you can help in some way get my home back to normal. It has been over 4 months now since I bought the coupon on Angie’s List. I am having my entire extended family coming over for Thanksgiving and one way or another I need to get the damage repaired in my dining room before then. Thank you for your help."

Description of Work: They replaced the outdoor faucet. They were quick and did good work. No complaints here.

Description of Work: The $39 charge covered virtually nothing. A plumber came, inspected (flushed) the 3 toilets, and told me I needed a $99 replacement flapper, etc. on one, which he did and I paid for. The one causing the most trouble he said he couldn't fix, and that his boss would get back to me. That didn't happen. As it turns out, my husband could have fixed the flapper for under $20, and we replaced the problem toilet ourselves. Very disappointing.
