Comments: The main reasons we selected Perfect View was that they were on (peace of mind) Angies's List and stated that they did many types of work, including hardwood floors and their rating was the best! Our house needed not only the floors, but carpentry and painting, too. We only wanted to hire one company. The work went incredibly well from day to day, since the workmen were courteous and professional, each in their own area of expertise. The house is over 60 years old and whenever the unforeseen happened, it was addressed with different options and different outcomes were explained. First, the hardwood floors were done and they are magnificent. We don't want to cover them with area rugs. This includes the stairs, spindles, & stair risers, as well. Then the stone & grout front entrance was put in, which was a challenge due to the construction 25 yrs. ago. It, too, is magnificent. We added new molding in all the areas and it, too, has added to the "newness" of our home. Everything was done to perfection by checking and rechecking throughout the entire procedure.

Lew was easy to work with, responsive, and provided helpful suggestions. Lew's work was high quality and once he started he diligently pursued it so that we were not left without a kithchen any longer than we had to be.

When he came to talk to us about it he was pretty impressive and this and that. We have had different contractors come in and they really haven't done what they said and he kind of like we are going to take care of all this and everything is going to be fine. He started out and he never finished the job. It was just a mess. He left all the debris and I removed all of that myself. I was very disappointed. I would not use them again.

I thought their price was too high so I didn’t use them. They were nice, polite and good. They were prompt and were very professional as far as we went with them.

My house was going on the market for sale and I had a leak in the sunroom. Perfect View came the next day to look at my roof, submitted a reasonable quote and did the work in a very short time frame before it rained again. I was very satisfied with their response, quality of work and price. I hired them again to repair some siding and downspout issues. Highly recommend Perfect View..

I wish I could recommend this contractor A+++. I had snow damage and contacted Perfect View Remodeling for an estimate. Louis came and reviewed the damage. My insurance company gave me a difficult time, and Louis came when the insurance adjustor came a second time and went over the issues with the adjustor. All this without me signing a contract. The insurance company still gave me the run around. However, since my home was up for sale, I contracted with Louis and paid him out of pocket. Louis promptly returned all calls and emails. He came when promised and he had a reputable employee do the job. The new porch roof is beautiful, and Louis has said he will make any statement to the insurance company so that I will prevail on my claim. What more can you ask? I highly recommend this company to anyone on Angie's List! UPDATE: My insurance company asked Lou for a detailed list of costs. Lou refused to give it to the insurance company. The case is still open pending his response. I have not received payment to date. This is not entirely Perfect View's fault. However, he was paid, the job was good, but he did not follow through after he got is payment. Thus, I lowered his score. The roof leaked twice after installation, he immediately came to fix it.

I really cannot say enough good things about Lou and his employees. We had just gone through a kitchen remodel with another contractor and the experience was not a good one. Although our full bathroom was very outdated I was not willing to put myself through another project anytime soon. The bathroom, however, had other ideas and soon after the kitchen was completed the pipes from the bathroom started leaking through our family room ceiling. I found Lou on Angie's List. He was punctual for the estimate, extremely knowledgeable and his quote was competitive. We decided to go with Perfectview remodeling and are so happy that we did. Once the project started Randy arrived at our house each day as scheduled, and was there before we went to work. Randy was friendly, professional and cleaned up at the end of each work day. We have a runner on our stairs and I was concerned that it would get dirty/ruined with all the traffic. Without me having to say anything - Randy put down a drop cloth each day. The project took two weeks (ten business days) and was so easy and as stress free as a project could be. The bathroom not only came out beautifully, but the work was done right as well and we have peace of mind that there will be no surprise issues down the road. We will definitely be calling Lou for our next project!

I got a good vibe from Louis when I met him, and he came out to look at my kitchen and bathrooms the day after calling. He seemed very enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and proactive about helping me to work on my spaces - especially the kitchen, which was my highest priority. I had a good feeling following the appointment and he had said how he would email me a floorplan soon. After waiting a week, I hadn't heard from Louis so I contacted him to make sure things were moving forward and to get an update. Louis told me he would have the floorplan and estimate to me by the end of the next day. I did not recieve anything from him, and he called me two days later to say that something came up and he had gotten busy. I understand unexpected events occurring, but he then assured me that he would send me the floor plans by the next day. This did not happen, and I did not even get an explanation of why I still had not received my plans or a full quote/estimate two weeks after the first appointment. I understand that things can be busy, but it would be more professional to not make promises to potential customers that aren't upheld. Please note that I cannot speak for the quality of Louis' work because I could not even get to the point where I was able to hire him.

I think they will be doing this work. They got back to me with the quote within about a week; I thought that was reasonable. The person that came out is a pretty straightforward guy; it turns out he was an engineer so we sort of spoke the same language.

Their price was quite high compared to other quotes. I do not think I will use them again in the future.

It took months and there are still problems that haven't been repaired almost a year later. The new hardwood floors squeak all over when walking on them, the trim under a window is coming off the wall, window trim was patched together and looks bad, the window sills aren't flush with the wall or windows allowing cold air to enter, the baseboard is patched together and looks bad and in several areas doesn't meet the floor also allowing cold air to enter the room along the floor on the outside wall. I have contacted Perfect View Remodeling via email and my complaints weren't addressed and I was told by the owner that "he would address my issues when he had a moment". I had the contractor return several times to "repair" this brand new work. He asked me "why it took me so long to catch the mistakes" I don't think I should have to "catch" mistakes, there shouldn't have been any, this was almost an entire new room repair from the studs in.The trim over the new door was patched together instead of using a single 36" length and it shows, the baseboard doesn't meet together at the corners of the room, it was patched together at the end of one wall with a 2" piece. POOR workmanship in my opinion.The texture that was first put on the ceiling had too much texture in areas and not enough near the walls. The second time the texture was sprayed on they stuck stick pins all around the walls near the ceiling to hold up plastic covering the walls. I asked about using stick pins and Lou said "you won't even see them" well I do see them, pin holes all around the walls.Every where I walk on this brand new hardwood floor it moves up and down and creaks and squeaks. Obviously the plywood sub floor (brand new also) wasn't screwed to the studs properly and not enough screws were used causing the hardwood floor nailed to it to be unstable.I have not had any more contact with this contractor after sending emails about my serious issues with his less than "Perfect View" job and now have to hire another contractor to repair the floor, baseboard, window sills and trim.I would not recommend. I would definitely recommend PerfectView for the following reasons: 1. I felt like the owner was truly interested in educating us and making us partners in building our bathroom. This project was the first major renovation we had done in our house, and Perfectview was the first contractor we met with(we ended up speaking with 5 companies). We didn't fully understand the estimating process. PerfectView took the time to provide a full detailed estimate for the work to be done, along with insurance and license verification all without me having to ask for that information. When I needed to push and plead with other contractors to give a more detailed estimate than just a number, I understood the value of their being so forthright. Later, when it came time to talk about what the design of the bathroom should be, again, the owner didn't just throw a bunch of brochures at us. He offered many great suggestions. 2. Work was done on time and on budget. By taking the time to be thorough up front, there were no "gotcha"s in the end. PerfectView wasn't the cheapest quote we received(it's why I gave a B for price). But, we always knew where we stood. 3. They have relationships with fabulous suppliers who were extremely helpful. Every supplier, from plumbing and bath supplies, to tile and granite, knew PerfectView remodeling and were helpful in providing us with lots of time and suggestions when we were designing. 4. Fantastic Craftmanship We are extremely happy with everything in our new bath. However, our newly tiled bath is unbelievable. The work is incredible. 5. Extremely Comfortable with them in our home.This last point is probably the biggest reason we ended up choosing PerfectView, and would do so again. My wife is a stay-at-home mom with 2 young children who were home for a lot of the time the workers were there. It was monumentally important to me that she felt comfortable with the people who were to be in our home. She felt very comfortable with the owner when during the estimating process. That fact is the biggest reason why we ended up going with a slightly more expensive contractor. During the job, she was just as comfortable with the crew. They was even able to handle and have fun with our very curious young boys. I can't put a price on how important that was for us.

I am very pleased and impressed with Perfectview Remoldling's services. Louis provided a detailed inspection and estimate free of charge in a very timely manner. His price was very reasonable and after discussing the procedure with him further, it is obvious that he is very experienced and stresses the importance of a quality product and craftsmanship. I have worked in the construction industry for more than 10 years now and have full confidence in Perfectview's ability to perform high quality work at an excellent price.

Lou and Don were a pleasure to work with. They patiently answered our questions and gave a realistic overview of what we could expect when the job was completed. Any potential problem areas were pointed out in advance. Most of the spots of concerns on the floor came right out. The difference from before the floors were refinsihed to now is tremendous. Lou was very good about getting back to us and addressed all of our concerns in a professional manner. They were very flexible on the timing of the job. Work started promptly. Any changes to the schedule were communicated with us. Our 60 year old refinished floors and new stair rails and posts look terrific. We would have no hesitation in using PerfectView again.

We called PerfectView based on his review here on Angie's List. Louis came out to the house and looked at our job. He seemed very nice and like someone we might be interested in working with. We explained to Louis that we had done our homework with regards to zoning, that we also had our finances in order, and that we could begin work right away. We also explained to him that we were eager to see his estimate. Louis advised us that it might take as long as a week to send us our estimate. Unfortunately this was over two weeks ago and we have heard from him since his visit to our home...despite the fact that we emailed him after our meeting to thank him and tell him to call or email us anytime with any quetions, etc. Unfortunately, we received no call or email from Louis advising us that he needed more time or apologizing for being unable to send us our estimate timely. This was a perfect opportunity to make a great first impression by meeting proposed deadlines and showing us that PerfectView was interested in taking a pretty substantial job. How could we choose a contractor that can't even meeet the very first dealine? In this economy I would think that contractors would be trying harder to get work. We can not attest to the quality or price of PerfectView's work because we never even got as far as seeing it. We would never enter into a contract for a job of this mangnitude/cost, or begin working with a company that gave such a poor first impression. Since Angie's List is built on customer feedback, I thought it was important to share this experience with other users. Maybe it can help prevent another customer from running into deadline issues while actually working with PerfectView on a project. All I can say is that we're lucky to learn about this now rather than halfway through our big project.

I bought a coupon from angies list that was valued for $1,179.00 dollars off my flooring.Louis Cook is a profesonal person to deal with.Bob takes great pride in his customers,very good exprierance.Our floor looks good and we've received many complements on it. Work staff efficient and thorough.

PefectView Remodeling was thoroughly professional from start to finish: from the initial contact to the estimate to the finished product, one couldn't ask for a better experience. The completed job was outstanding, even better than I had expected. I will gladly recomment PerfectView to anyone needing remodeling. For a reasonable price, all the above work was done in a fair amount of time: Bill came to work bright and early on time each day producing work of the highest quality. Any question I had was answered fully, in a way that I was able to understand, in layman's terms, and the reasons for each concern and its resolution.

I found PerfectView on Angie's List and asked for an estimate for wood floor refinishing. Louis called right away and followed up often. Louis and Don both came by to take a look at the floors. We were about to go on vacation, and they agreed to finish the floors while we were away. We were thrilled to return to find the floors looking so much better. The floors were done on time and on budget and they look great. I can't wait to use PerfectView for our next project.

inEstimator came immediately in response to my first call. Doors had to be custom made and the first pair were damaged in shipping. It took almost another week for new doors to be fabricated, but, in the meantime, the shelves were installed, permitting the long-delayed and badly needed kitchen reorganization to take place. When the doors did arrive, great care was taken to ensure that they matched the existing woodwork. The carpenter assigned was neat, careful, pleasant and expeditious. I thought the price was very reasonable given the extent and quality of the work. These guys are really good, all you would hope for in a home improvement service. I recommend them without reservation

It was a great experience. They recommended good suppliers who were very helpful when I selected the toilet, sink and tile; scheduling went well and they stayed with the project once it got started and finished it timely. That's particularly important to me since I've had experiences where contractors come and go and extend the length of time disrupting everything and not delivering on a timely basis. They moved my washer and dryer out of the room and then moved them back and reconnected them so that I didn't have to get someone else to do that. The room was clean and beautiful and any mess or disruption that extended outside the roomduring the renovation process was cleaned up. Some unexpected issues popped up - reconnecting a fan and having to add a damper to the heat source - and these were easily incorporated and handled. My garage was used as a staging area and even that had been properly cleaned up when the project was completed. I have already indicated I want them to renovate the kitchen this spring.I was very pleased with this contractor and have recommended him to my friends.r.

My mother-in-law is a nervous person and the owner of Perfect View worked very well with her. She didn't realize that her home owners insurance might pay for part of the costs and he helped her through the claim process, saving her thousands of dollars. They left the room looking like new. For the part of the siding they had to tear off, they found a close color match to the siding on the house. They left the house clean and Mom was very happy.

All the work performed was done extremely well. Lou and his workers are professional and courteous. They cleaned up after themselves each day. Lou says the job is not done unless the customer is completely satisfied. I have already discussed with Lou replacing interior doors in my home. This is a fine company to work with.

This was a small, but necessary project. Louis and is crew did an excellent job, especially with the holiday interruptions. We also had a death in the family shortly before the project was done, and Louis and his crew were very sensitive to our needs during that time. Instead of leaving the finish work on the project until after the funeral, we requested that they continue to finish the project. That must have felt awkward for them, but they did as we requested, in an incredibly unobtrusive way. The work was done in a timely, professional manner.

The price reasonable and work was excellent.

He is the very nice man to work with. He has great prices, and his work is very good.
