I am have very lousy experiences with Angie List Vendors, most so far are scams, companies promising this and that and delivering nothing but quotes. Terrible Angie's List experience thus far.
Description of Work: The provider was very unresponsive on the phone, it felt like it was a bother to take this offer. Then the provider basically explained that for the deal of $59.00 they would spend a half hour with you telling them your problems.

PerfectView helped us make the appropriate decisions to meet the needs of our child while keeping the work aesthetically pleasing and fitting for our house. He was very nice, polite, and had the proper equipment needed. I had two other concerns which I had mention ahead of time to Debbie their customers service representative and he knew about it. Mike check it out and advise me on it. I intend on using this company again for the next time(I'm retired so I have to budget my funds)I am very happy, please with the job and advise Mike provided me.
Description of Work: Replace my outside faucet which was the original(1992) & because it was a frost free one I wanted the same type, so that was an additional cost of $35.00 but I feel it was well worth it.

 + -1 moreIt went great. He was punctual in showing up and prompt with getting the work done. He listened attently and actually understood the problem and got done what was missed by the plumber who put the filtration system in in the first place (before I was in the picture) and the one who simply redirected the water to the refrigerator in spite of my telling him specifically what I needed. He appropriately answered questions that I had about how this problem might have related to some problems I was having with the water and ice not working on my refrigerator (in fact, it was not tied directly to the filtration problem or to delay in my capacity to change the filters in a timely fashion that arose from it. It turned out to be tied to the fact that with the reverse osmosis system, the pressure was reduced enough that I could not use and did not need the expensive to replace and "required" water filter in the refrigerator itself). He was both friendly and professional.
Description of Work: I want to first remark that I put in a date because it was demanded. I do not recall when it was and it may have not even been that month, but it was around that time of year. Beyond that, I am not certain of the cost of service. It was an Angie's List deal, and I believe that was the cost of the deal. The main point is that the services did not exceed the cost of the deal. Now, I had an unusual demand for the plumber. Unfortunately it was not a major job, but I don't know how to describe it without going through a fairly complicated story. When I purchased my house, there were problems with excess nitrates in the water, so the sellers had a reverse osmosis filtration system installed under the sink as a prerequisite of the sale. Then after I bought the house, I found there were major problems with the laminate countertops and replaced them with granite. At the time of replacement of the countertops, I came to recognize that the filtration system had been connected only to the sink, while the primary source of consumed cold water was from the cold water tap and ice maker on the refrigerator, so I asked the plumber who reconnected the plumbing to the new sink after the granite countertops were put in to put a Y-connector in the line from the filter so the filtered water could be conducted to both the sink and the refrigerator. I thought everything was fine until it came time to change the filter elements in the reverse osmosis system. To do so, I had to drain the tank into the sink through the sink tap. That's when I came to recognize that, in fact, that plumber did not put in a Y-connector to run the water to both the sink and the fridge. He simply diverted the filtered water to the refrigerator, so I was drinking unfiltered water from the faucet and had no means to empty the tank to change the filters. I took advantage of this deal to explain that situation to this plumber and have him do what I had asked the last one to do and he failed to do. Basically, he put a Y-connector in the system so that I was able to conduct the filtered water to both my sink faucet and the refrigerator. It involved a trip to a local supplier for the parts and the time and directed effort to put the parts in place and assure they were working correctly.

Note: I have to give punctuality a "B," but this was not the fault of the company. Another job scheduled prior to mine was misrepresented and understated. The agent needed to spend more time than was anticipated, and then needed to clean herself up before coming to our house. This was not her fault. Much to her credit, she was very communicative with me about what was happening, and very professional about the whole thing. I have to give a "B," but don't hold this against them. These things happen to us all. Everything else with respect to the experience was very positive. I recommend this company.
Description of Work: Pretty straight-forward: the service came and looked at the bathroom to be remodeled. We later received an estimate for the work to be done as discussed.

 + 1 moreThe service was scheduled quickly and at our convenience. Mike, the plumber sent by Perfect View Remodeling did an excellent job. When setting up the service appointment I spoke to Louis the owner about what we hoped to accomplish during the session. First was an issue with the shower, after explaining the issue, Louis suggested sending a pic of the shower which we did This allowed Mike to arrive with the right components and not waste valuable time. While here he also thoroughly re-replaced the outside faucet which didn't make the winter and put a valve on the wash machine to address the "water hammer" . Mike was courteous, answered my questions honestly and a credit to his boss.
Description of Work: 2 Hours of Plumbing Services: replaced outdoor faucet, issue with "water hammer" on washing machine water line, replaced cartridge and adjusted water flow in shower.

 + 1 moreI had an existing space so they kind of tore it down to the studs and they fit it all out for us. They were pretty good. It was the end of the year and they were trying to finish off all the other projects so they started a little late. We had some unexpected things come up, but we were able to manage to get it all done. They were a couple of weeks late finishing. The staff was pretty good while they were here. They were nice. There were some finished products that we purchased and there was a project manager on site who generally understood the scope of work, but he did not read all the fine details so he made some assumptions. When he told some subcontractors to do some work the sequence of work was not right. For example, he should have had the plumber here to do the work in the bathroom before other work was done. We expected the contractor to share our vision and to understand what needed to be done in order to accomplish the finished product. That was the one thing I was disappointed in. The price was high, but you get what you pay for. I think I got better quality with this contractor than if I had gone with a lower bidder. The schedule issue was understandable.

 + 0 moreI brought a Angie's List coupon for $99.00 for 2 hours of plumbing labor. My tub wouldn't drain so I thought it was the trip lever because the lever wouldn't budge. As I was replacing the new trip lever, I noticed the water didn't budge. I tried snaking the drain and it came back clear. My second guess was the p-trap. I had consulted with another plumber and I was quoted $7,000 to $8,000 to replace drain, etc. I brought the coupon because I figure it was sediment in the p-trap. After I purchased the coupon, Louis Cook sent an email. He also called me and left a message to call him to describe the situation and to schedule the appointment. Mike, from PerfectView, was prompt and courteous. He was vey considerate of the noise while I took a work conference call. He replaced the pipe and told me that there was sludge etc. He left the basement area spotless. Mike was even able to pull the linkage out from the drain. Mike double checked to make sure that the water was draining properly. I was totally impressed by his warmth and professionalism. The actual extra cost was $118.50 but I added the $99.00 for the coupon. I was able to fix the standing water issue without paying thousands of dollars I love PerfectView! I am hiring them again.

 + 1 moreMy husband thought that he could repair the faucet in the bathroom sink, well during repair the hot water faucet broke and could not be fixed. I called Louis Cook, the owner, and he was very helpful and said that he would send someone over to inspect if the faucet could be fixed. A young woman named Ruth, who works for the company came to evaluate the situation. Well the faucet could not be fixed so she E-mailed some faucet models for me to look over. I decided on one model and let her know. She immediately ordered the model that I picked out and arranged the work to be done the next morning. I was really pleased that she took so much time with me to make sure it was what I would be satisfied with. She was so helpful and accommodating. The next morning the plumber, Mike, came over the house after he picked up the faucet at the supplier, to complete the job. Mike was so professional and wasted no time to get the job done. I would not hesitate to call on this company again, they were thorough and helpful and everyone was a pleasure to deal with.

Their team performed both of the installations above in less than 2 hours (including a trip to Home Depot). The team was knowledgeable and worked efficiently to finish the jobs quickly.  + 0 moreInitially, Luis was great about keeping us informed about estimated arrival times. There were a few reschedules, not unexpected this time of the year with frozen pipes, etc. Ours was not an emergency job. So one week after the original appointed time T.J. arrived. T.J. was prompt. Was pleasant, and professional. Showed me what was wrong with the tub/shower and how it was being fixed. Fixed the faucets in a flash!! T.J. was done well within the 2 hour Angie's list two hour $99 special. Apparently, Luis needed to make two trips to get the right part for the tub and we had down time for about 45 minutes beyond the 2 hours Angie special. At first Louis said the parts were less then $10, I was extremely pleased. Then he said since T.J. was there more than 2 hours would I mind paying and extra hour at $100,I was a little taken back, since the extra time was waiting for Luis' second part trip, but sure ok still a good deal $210. Next he forgot all the parts, added it up and asked if I would mind paying $239.49 I guess that was ok, wrote a check on the spot. On the way home I realized I was really paying Angie special of $99 for 2 hours of T.J.'s time (a bargain!!) PLUS $239.49 a total $338.49!!!! I don't know, maybe the parts for the tub were expensive. I have since asked for an invoice for the work done. Got it yesterday, does not show parts, shows a total 239.49, with only reference to Angie's deal. No identification of parts used? No $338.49 true total shown Sorry, in hindsight I am not very happy about this deal. Coincidentally, I had asked for a quote for a new water heater. Parts and Labor were lumped together, and there was an open end on additional costs. I asked that these be capped, but got no response on that. Luis is very charming fellow, T.J. is a pleasant, professional young man. We are happy with the work that was done, just confused about the cost and how it was presented. If you are a senior, I didn't notice a discount either.
Description of Work: Replace 4 shut off handles leaking. Replace worn parts on the tub/shower control levers. Advise on water heater.
