 + -1 moreI am more then satisfied with Sheehan & Sons. Dennis Sheehan & Sons are professional. Sheehan is always prompt, efficient. The cost is reasonable. Work area is completely cleaned before leaving. Nothing is left out of place. I have had several jobs done by Sheehan including a completely new bathroom. I have absolutely no complaints. Dennis Sheehan & Sons will be my first call whenever a plumber is needed.
Description of Work: Remove old & install new toilet. Install new washer valve & hoses.

 + -1 moreI would say that Dennis Sheehan and Sons is an excellent pluming and heating company. There work was very neat, in accordance with our contract and professionally accomplished. I would not hesitate to call them again for any type of pluming project.
Description of Work: After talking to several heating and pluming contractors, I chose Dennis Sheenan and Sons. We have an old Victorian style home with steam heat. He seemed the most knowledgeable and asked what I thought to be all the right questions. He provided what appeared to be the best and most efficient choice of boiler for our situation. I contracted with Dennis and his associate to install a new heating system for our old house. Although his quotation for the job seemed high it was in line with other contractors, all things being considered. And as I said he seemed to have the experience to do a good job. He was on time, very neat, knowledgeable and professional in every regard. He and his associate installed a much higher efficiency boiler into an old steam system. It took a great deal of "tinkering" to match up the new systems speed of steam flow through the old system. They spent a great deal of time making sure the system worked as efficiently as it is rated. He also repacked several of the radiator valves though out the house because of leaks and/or potential leaks. This was not part of our contract. He showed me how to repack a valve myself in case one ever stated to leak. They also installed a new hot water system incorporating the new boiler with a new hot water tank. This has saved us a great deal of money on electricity every month with very little use of oil. Unfortunately, they had to return when a new thermostat they had installed became defective. They installed another one of a higher quality and we have been very comfortable ever since. We first used the services of Dennis Sheehan while he was working with a kitchen contractor when we had our kitchen remodeled a few years ago. He also did an installation of a new clothes washer in the basement which involved installing a sink and pump to remove the water from the washer up and into the sewer system, and we are very happy with all the results.

 + -1 moreThey did a lot of work and were okay, but I had expected copper pipe and got plastic. I think this was just a case of miscommunication, but my advice is to make sure that you and your contractor are clear about the materials to be used for the job.

 + -1 moreAfter providing a free quote which was exactly in line with other quotes I had received, Dennis was prompt, efficient, and completed the work exactly as described in the time in which he said it would be completed. The entire process took about eight working days; half before I left for vacation, and half after, so he was accommodating with my schedule. He also installed a new thermostat for me, not covered in the proposals, for free. The basement was cleaner after he left than when he arrived. Some of the work or more was done by an employee of Dennis who did a great job. The night the job was done, I realized the hot water was a bit too hot, so he came back the very next day to fix it. He also promised to come back during the heating season to inspect and replace any radiator issues. I give my highest recommendation to this guy and his work.
Description of Work: Installed a new oil boiler, fixed a problem with my oil tanks, and isolated my electric hot water heater with a series of valves so that it could be used as a backup.
