Art Palmer and his crew are meticulous professionals with extensive experience refinishing floors, and they did a superb job on our house. Art is an expert on the care and refurbishing of wood floors, and he patiently answered our questions and concerns. (We had lots of questions because the floors in our house are over 100 years old, and we were eager to make sure they were in good hands!) Art is extremely responsible (fully licensed and carried extensive insurance, including workers' comp, which was very important to us), reliable, and responsive: he calls, emails, and arrives when he says he will; he supervises the work in person; and he follows up. We were especially impressed with the time he took to match the stain on our new stairs to the color of the old wood floors, and with his can-do willingness to address even small concerns: he doesn't leave the job until he knows the customer is satisfied. Art was our main contact for this job, but we also had a chance to meet some of his crew members and were impressed with the quality of their work, their attention to detail, and their professionalism. Art takes great pride in his work and in his crew, as he should: our floors look stunning, working with him was a delight, and we are happy to give him our highest recommendation.
Description of Work: Art and his excellent crew sanded all the wood floors in our house (six rooms on two floors plus stairs, hallways, and closets); applied stain on new wood to match the color of older floors; filled cracks with wood filler and nailed loose boards where needed to reduce/eliminate squeaks; applied three coats of polyurethane finish to all; and buffed and vacuumed the floors. :
