Description of Work: They have reglued several loose leg joints on some older wooden chairs: with excellent results. |The latest thing was to rebuild a leg on an Eastlake loveseat in order to accommodate an original caster. A vacation or illness tied this up as a special tool and/or operator was not available.

Description of Work: This company was professional and knowledgeable. I had to call them for a status of my project as it was much longer than the 12 week turnaround. I did indicate that I was not in a hurry, so that may have been the reason the project took so long. Otherwise the desk is back to its original beauty.

This was a beloved chair that my husband has had for over 30 years. I wanted to have it repaired as part of his Christmas gift. The gentlemen at the Furniture Clinic were extremely helpful. What a wonderful little find. Old world charm... an actual old school wood working shop. These guys are hardworking and know their stuff. I would definitely use them again and would encourage others.

Description of Work: I had an antique bedroom dresser that was falling apart and had a number of broken pieces. I thought about tossing it as beyond repair, but it was owned by my father-in-law who passed away a few years ago. So, it had sentimental value. I received a quote from a furniture restorer for $1800. which was much more than the dresser was worth. I brought it to Furniture Clinic and they made the necessary repairs with all original wood. They did it in less than 2 weeks for only $540, significantly less than the $900 they originally estimated. I highly recommend them for your furniture repairs.

I was given an estimate (which didn't change after the work started) on the phone from pictures I emailed to them. They picked up the bookcase as scheduled. I had to contact them when I didn't hear anything for a couple months. They responded quickly and set up a time to come into the shop to pick out a stain color. The work was done in a timely manner from that point. It turned out beautifully and is filled with my mother's china and crystal.

Came home from work last December to find that my Christmas tree had fallen over, anding on my coffee table. Didn't really think it was repairable- one leg was snapped in two. Brought it to the furniture clinic and it was fixed in time for Christmas- and looks like new! Excellent.

The Furniture Clinic came to our house to give a quote and picked up the kitchen set. In a couple of days, they had us come to their workspace to choose a stain color. They were very helpful in helping me choose a complimentary stain to go with the maple wood of the furniture. The table only had to be refinished, but all four chairs had to be repaired and refininshed. The work took quite a long time to get done, but this did not concern me as I did not need the set immediately. The Furniture Clinic men delivered the set when it was finished and it is beautiful. I wanted this to be done properly because the set is my parents' first kitchen set and is approximately 80 years old. The young men at Furniture Clinic know their stuff. I would use them again.

Description of Work: I took my dining room table to be refinished. I wasn't happy with the way the first stain was put on, I told them it was much too dark. They redid it over again and they lightened it up. I just went to see it last Friday (10/12/2012) and I was very pleased with it. At first I thought it was a little pricey but when I realized the amount of work they put into it and the quality of the work I was very happy. They were very professional and responsive; they call you right away.

Description of Work: I have used this company for 30 years. They have repaired and refinished and sometimes just stripped furniture. On all occasions the work was done perfectly. They assess their ability to deliver on your wishes and if something cannot be achieved, they tell you straightforwardly. We are lucky that such professionals are still in business.

I called up and had the team come out to give me a quote and pick up the furniture. I was a little surprised by how much the cost would be for refinishing 3 pieces, but I went ahead anyhow. They originally quoted me around 4-6 weeks for a turnaround, but it ended up being more like 9. I didn't mind, but I had to call them as they did not keep me up to date with the changing schedule at all. However, when it was all done, they delivered the pieces back to my place and the quality is absolutely outstanding. I in no way expected my furniture to look this nice. They look better than brand new, everything has gotten a once over (including hardware and the shelves inside) and it all looks just plain amazing. Though the timeline was a little bit longer and the price may have been a bit high, I would definitely recommend Furniture Clinic to anyone and I do plan on using them again.
Description of Work: Refinished 3 pieces of furniture (chest, and 2 night stands). Work included removing old finish, repairing chips and deeper marks, and respraying new lacquer.

I got the name from Angie's list, phoned them, brought in the chair. They admired the completely intact old cattail rush seat, which they told me was its most valuable feature. They looked at what was wrong with the joints, formed a hypothesis (that it had broken before and been "fixed" with a single nail), took less time for the repair than I had thought, and phoned me. It was excellent service.
Description of Work: Repair of antique rocking chair. Very carefully done, and they carefully matched the old varnish so that if I didn't know the extensive repair with new dowels was there, I wouldn't see it. They also did more (that was not asked for) to strengthen the whole chair. One walks right into their furniture repair workshop and sees all that they are doing; and they are very pleasant people.

I was actually surprised that the repair could be done for so little. I was expecting to pay more. The work was done quickly and was well worth the money.
